Yessah Mahalo bro this was an epic catch for sure! Ive caught a couple other big ones out.therw didn't get on camera but live bait was always the bait.
Great catch !!! Under 10 Lb..( they call them Papio/ Over 10 lbs. they them Ulua...I Speared ( 2 ) Ulua on the Breakwater, about Half way on the Breakwater ( in the 50's ) great place to spearfish..caught my first Uhu ( parrot fish..Red/Blue ) I speared a Green on in Keei bay, in Kona..🥰
I was also excited when I saw this movies. It is very good to use small fish as bait to catch big fish. I hope to have the opportunity to play in Hawaii Hilo
Trust me that's one of the major challenges. Just keep that tip up and tension on the line and hope for the best. Getting it out of the water once to the bank is also very challenging. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it! Have a great day 🤙🏽
it can be good depending on weather it can get pretty aggressive out there sometimes in winter. Can never go wrong with using bait youll catch many species. Have a great visit good luck with your fishing
Awesome brudda 🤝🤝 going to big island next month. Got a 11 ft pole and a Stella rigged up for when I’m surf fishing down in Baja Mexico. Might bring it along. U got any thoughts for “must have” gear I should bring with ?
I do a lot of dunking here weather on bottom or with a floater. I dont use to much gear beyond weights hooks and floaters. My main goal is to always catch a litter bait fish and send it out to see wait grabs on. Lots of people whip grubs and lures like poppers or bait fish style. There's so many waya to catch fish here its amazing. There's a few storez on this island with decent selection so even if you justshow up with some poles i think you will have some success. Good luck I hope you have a great vacation 🤙🏽
Yes sir it snows here on the big island on Mauna Kea and Muana loa we've got a lot of cold weather and rain lately so the mountains are loaded . The fish I caught is a Bluefin trevaley but after they get certain size thery called ulua. And they are super delicious their related to the Ahi / Tuna. Thanks for the great comment hope you have a great day

sorry im late bro, not a big fisherman.. yet anyways... i used to hunt and fish that was b4 they took my shotgun privilege, i need a muzzleloader lol tw u need a bow and arrow for that fishing. hope all is well bro. i still am sorry bro about that thing. i didnt have the energy to make a good show, and i didnt want to do u like that. i apologize, hope the concrete is going good?
No worries bro fishing isn't for everyone but it is one of my passions. Fishing and hunting has always been my favorite things to do outside work. I've been super slammed at work I have a few videos to edit and upload just haven't felt to inspired . The concrete genre is kinda lame it feels like I put in way to much effort for very little pay out. So sometimes I think I want to change things up. It seems like more people are interested in my fishing than my concrete content. But anyhow bro I think your awesome and like I said before no hard feelings and I appreciate you bud.
Awesome video!! You got an instagram i can follow and send you some messages? Im going to the big island in may and i plan on doing a lot of fishing. Looking for some info if you’re willing to share.

The wall provides just not every outing I feel so lucky for this hook up
@@thatjuanshow4485 when and how do you kill da fish you like eat?
@JLav If I decide to keep my fish I'll cut the gills neck and brain them with my knife. I'll take care of them asap so they bleed out for better meat
Holy crap! Noice fellas!
It was major bro!
Yeah bro
Biggin Bro!
Good eating..Sashimi, Saute..Tasty Ulua..🥰🤟
Sashimi !!! all day long 🤙🏽
Love fishing, but really hate live bait fishing. An lures or anything that work as well to catch fish out there? Thinking about going in a few weeks.
Can always use bait or lures. Poppers are good or grubs I like shrimp and squid as bait as well.
Biggest omilu I've seen in a while. And by far and away the biggest one I've seen landed in Hilo. 🙂
Its was and still is my personal best! Gave me a major adrenaline rush best feeling ever!
