    Raceroom needs more ambassadors. I'd love to see more leagues using it.

      Yeah, I think with the new update, it has attracted more people to play it and I have seen some more videos on RUclips from various sim racers. It is cool to see the game coming back onto the scene.

    Since the update, Raceroom is my new favourite sim. I feel the GT3 physics in AMS2 (my old favourite) are just broken in terms of slideyness. Also, I can't get over the iRacing physics, FFB, graphics and audio. ACC I feel the same as you... Lacking in FFB.

    • @GSSimRacing
      @GSSimRacing  Месяц назад +2

      Yep, ACC felt like a robotic arm trying to turn the wheel. Very harsh and direct. Feels quite weird when coming from different sims. I found that tough as ACC was my main competitive sim before.

      @@GSSimRacing As for AMS2, just try taking the BMW M4 GT3 out on Imola in Raceroom first and then AMS2 and you will feel what I mean.

      I've only been into this 12 months now and love both Raceroom and original AC but ACC I just cannot seem to gel with at all. I'm always being told it is the most realistic for GT3 and such but i don't find it a pleasurable driving experience at all. Maybe i just need to spend more time adjusting to the feel of it.

      considering how good the ffb is in the og AC you have to wonder if the ffb short comings in acc are connected to unreal engine

    Great Video! btw which headset are you using? mic sounds great! added filters in OBS ?

      @@racingwithryan214 hey. No I've no filters going on. Just a little compression. I'm using a beyer dynamic headset and the mic is superb. I can also recommend steelseries arctics pro headset with their software. I run that setup on my work laptop and the mic quality with the steelseries sonar software is superb.

    Another banger G.... re3 only has one laser scanned track ( nords )...can't wait until they get more scanned tracks. Hopefully they can figure it out on their engine.. great video!!

    • @GSSimRacing
      @GSSimRacing  Месяц назад +1

      That is interesting. I could certainly notice how smoother the RaceRoom track was when compared to the iRacing one. It would be cool to have more scanned tracks to add to the realism/authenticity.

    It seems to me that there is more grip on iracing during practice and in time trials, during the race that grip can come and go in an inconsistent manner.

    • @GSSimRacing
      @GSSimRacing  Месяц назад +1

      I think this could be their live track thing. Basically, the cars driving over the same line can impact the grip. I know from ovals; this is over-done. The tyre model is a bit odd in races in my experience too.

    @PandaTony19 Месяц назад +1

    Good review. Calm and relaxed. I like rrre ,for ita variety of tracks that dont exist anywhere in decent quality (Dubai, Macau, Paul ricard, Pau...) . What i feel , biggest difference to iR, rrre is very forgiving, even on lowest TC level 5-6 , it allows you to slide, and grip lose is made in a very slow motion way, if i can say so. In Ir it is more dynamical, you should react much faster and car started to slide. I thing the truth is somwthing in between, as fas i could compare to real driving.
    Oh yeah , touring cars in rrre are in the top . Its a pity it has such a poor and lonely online, leading to no matter how graphic is better, tracks are better, you then just connect to old iR to drive online

    • @GSSimRacing
      @GSSimRacing  Месяц назад

      @@PandaTony19 yeah I'd love RR to get more online players. I done some laps in the iracing MX5 last night and it didn't behave like a car at all. The lack of rear end grip was just not at all realistic. I have heard iracing are working on the model, so hopefully it improves. Usually rear end grip loss can be more gradual. It's because of a concept called pneumatic trail. Basically as the tyre deforms with lateral loading, the footprint can extend behind the centreline even more. Think of it like more squish across the contact patch. It feels like this is not modeled in iracing and feels like it is modeled in Raceroom. Although I can't say for certain. It's just how it sort of feels.
      I use iracing for ovals mainly.

      @GSSimRacing  Месяц назад +1

      @@ravey1981 thanks for the feedback. I guess I don't "plan" or script my videos. I'm not a RUclipser and RUclips is not a source of income for me etc, it's a place to just share my passion for sim racing with everyone. So sometimes the videos may not be as clean or as well presented as some other guys who have a RUclips career, or, rely on RUclips to support them financially. I think this kind of allows me to remain honest and unbiased. I've no vested interest in bigging up or tearing down a sim or brand and scripting around that. Although, if anywhere I can improve or make the vids better, I'm all for ideas. Although it's not my main focus (RUclips) , I still would like guys to find value and perhaps some level of entertainment or tips and tricks etc. All this being said, I'm very grateful that everyone is here offering feedback and sharing the discussions on the videos etc. It makes it all worth while. 😊🙏
