@@davidgrimm-fo9vz i normally break in the middle of the 100 and 50m sign, to like 80% shift all the way down into first gear and then turn the steering weel hard. Turn it more than 90 degrees. its hard to describe turn it about 45 degrees beyond the first 90 degrees. Generally the most important thing for me was NEVER getting into abs so 85%-90% break at most, and dont get off the break before youre at the apex. hope that helps, ask again if you like
doing 250 laps of time trials on this track in a fixed setup. I'm on 200/250 in the past 5 days and my pb is a 2:21.4xx, I have 0 clue how people are getting so much lower. I know some places that I can improve to about a 2:21.2xx if I get a good lap but that's about it so far. good video!
@@Jmody13 I'm with you. I race Laguna Seca in top splits 1:37s bought Spa, ran this track for a week straight, I can't break 2:21.143 lol. Has to be MX5 vs Ferrari. Thats where the answer lies. I've developed such feel for the mx5, that took a LONG time. I'm gonna hace to get there with the Ferrari 296.
Many thanks for this guide. Im down to a 2min 20. 3 from 22. 1. I watched the VRS lap, and yours is pretty much identical other than a couple of gear choices. After the long straight VRS driver goes down to 2nd where you are in 3rd. I'll give 3rd gear a try because, for me, the car seems twichy. It's probably my driving to be honest 😅
both gears work very well, 2nd give more rotation so if you’re understeering there then it’s worth trying. i like 3rd because it keeps the car more stable. it’s just what you prefer using as they’re very similar lap time wise

*2.17.846* is RAPID.. Im going down to 2cd in a LOT of spots where your staying in 3rd.. Im just having a hard time getting the rotation. Im noticing that my TC is locked at 4 and yours is at 8.. I moved my TC Controls in CNTROL TAB in pits, but it doesn't seem to be lettingme move it. I am able to move my Break Bias. I can back that up to try to get more rotation.
Does anyone have tips on how to rotate this car, in my experience it has seemed super understeery, granted I drive mostly formula four and lmp 2 so gt cars are foreign to me
Because there is less downforce, the cars take longer to rotate on entry and mid corner, you have to trail brake for much longer and hold the brake further into the corner to get the rotation.
