I love this! I let go of a toxic family member a few years ago because they didn't care about my boundaries and didn't have any for themself. It's hardest and frustrating when it's family that you have to let go of because they took a lot of people down with them. But you really see who's friend or foe in situations like this.

I have gone thru this so many times and have come to the same conclusion - it was eye opening and such a relief to realize that relationships will change and it's ok to move in different circles. People ebb and flow like the tide sometimes. I get it. thanks for sharing this.

Well said! You expressed exactly how i felt regarding relationships. When you got to a realization very late in life, that if you dont text, talk or invite... they dont do it back. I learnt it very late in life, but now im very happy with the closest friends i have, and less worry relax mind not worrying about past ppl i used to call " friends"

People pleasing!!!!! I grew up with this, and in the last couple of years, I had to really shift my mindset with boundaries.

Love the waitress and table analogy!
I saw a reel once that someone dropped a plate and someone else said, say sorry to the plate. So they said sorry.
But then the other person said, did that fix the plate? No.
Anyway just something to share. Thanks for all your words ❤️

Sometimes cutting off family and/or friends is the best thing some of us can do for our health mentally and physically. Sad but some people are toxic. People tell me all the time but he’s your brother and that makes you family! I say noooo, he’s my brother which makes us related, it doesn’t necessarily make you family. Greeting from California

My husband and I are facing a bad situation with his mother and sister. They are toxic they expose their will on my husband. They came over 2 days before our wedding and screamed at us bc we aren't kissing his moms butt. We moved changed numbers emails and they found us. Why can't they get the hint. I feel alone I really do and cared and frustrated

So empowering , recently changed my number myself and it really is like taking control of ur life and who you allow in ,I'm also a constant people pleaser who gets upset and worries too much about saying no to people, I need remember it's okay to say no to things not always feel pressured to always say yes to make others happy. Thank you for your videos they resonate alot 💕🪷🌴🌴
