This video brings back happy memories but also makes me sad. Walter's age is catching up with him, it's clear even in this video. Hopefully his legacy of teaching physics the way he does spreads to others who can take his place and continue to educate properly the next generation in physics.

I had a science teacher in high school and one in middle school who were as awesome as Professor Lewin. They're definitely the memorable teachers--the ones who get stuff to stick by making it fun and exciting. That's what these classes really are, so long as everyone understands why it's relevant and important.
Excellent job, teachers! Thank you all.

That's how #science should be taught. If you get a teacher like him you can't but love physics. I loved the way how he has demonstrated the "conservation of energy" and after that with his loving smile said, "and physics works so i'm alive". :D
    hats off Walter Lewin.
oh..His philosophy about #teaching is also great. Similar one like mine ^_^ He said, " They (Bad Teachers) are CRIMINAL. Because they missed golden opportunities and make it dull and boring and people begin to hate #physics and that stayed for rest of their life. then they even make the mistakes to think that physics is difficult. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE." so true..

I love his lectures. Half my physics class(at local university) dropped before I introduced my peers to his lectures. Our professor literally told the class that "everyone hates to do physics"... he was very discouraging. Maybe I should have had the prof watch his lectures but I was afraid of offending him (he had an attitude of great self worth about himself). Dr. Lewin is awesome!

Well, Walter Lewin teaches stuff mostly a little bit above high-school curriculum, as and IB student taking physics at higher level, I found his lectures to be a treasure. The way he explains is extremely good, he also manages to keep people interested from the start to the end of the lecture and ends with an amazing kicker.
