THANK YOU! You are probably the only other person than me who used a bain marie. All the other reviewers skipped that step and ended up with a runny waffle batter. BTW - It's even better when you let it sit overnight. I really thickens up and the taste is Waffle House.
You do not hear the batter at all. Bain Marie in this sense refers to the pan and you are supposed to let it sit overnight for the next day’s service. So much stupidity.
I came up with a way to make any waffle mix taste like Waffle House . I have always wondered what the after taste of the waffle was . I took a chance and mixed up batter to make 4 waffles . I added 1/3 cup of carnation malted milk ! Holy shit they are fantastic ! You should try it some time add 1/4-1/3 cup of maktes milk to your batter it’s amazing !
@@SonicBoomC98 Did you end up trying it? And if so how good was it? And have you ever had WH to compare it to? I'm going to try this but I've never had WH so I'll have no idea how close it is.
Why not use the smaller version they sell not huge bag and 13oz ? 1/2 quart? Let’s do by cups 1 cup mix 1 egg 🥚 & 2 cups half & half ? - & Bain Marie? Not on directions
I wonder what's in their mix.. it's certainly not just flour. I would guess sugar for sure and maybe a little powdered buttermilk. I wonder of there is an corn starch
Sprinkle on pecans immediately after pouring the batter into the waffle maker. Serve with genuine maple syrup. Fake syrup ruined everything. Make sure the waffle is golden crisp.
Pretty sure he cooked it for the exact time specified on the back of the bag so if you like lighter waffles byt also like Waffle House idk what to tell you
You are making a cardinal mistake. Waffle House waffles are 'standard' thickness and style waffle. You are making Belgian waffles with are totally different in construction. The are very toast and the surface and have a large volume of soft delicate insides. Waffle House waffled are half the thickness and cook completely different. You have lots to learn.
The measurements are for however many you want to make that's why he didn't give exact measurements. Plus you really can't/don't feel like doing basic math are you that lazy?
Yeah but I want it the same thickness as Waffle House waffles I don't want the thicker ones that you get with the waffle maker that you buy LOL. So how can I achieve that?
Straight to the point I love it
I don’t need it, I don’t need it , I NEED IT
They actually encourage the lumps. It makes a fluffier pancake. When I worked there they told us to barely stir the batter.
But the question is... does it taste like Waffle House waffles???

It doesn’t taste like Waffle House until you drop cigarette ash in it.

I might try that. I'm actually using half and half and a little bit of buttermilk in my recipe

What waffle iron are you using ?
thank you for this video it saved my life.

So, did yours not come with the instructions on how to make less waffles. I noticed you're the only one to use a bain marie
but no one addresses the stick to the iron thing.,, what are ya supposed to use to keep batter from sticking??
Try spraying the waffle iron with cooking oil
What kind of waffle iron do you have?
I found the small grid waffle maker similar to the one Waffle House uses at Best Buy.
John N. Name?
You divided the recipe by four, not by a fourth. If you divide one gallon by one fourth, the result is four gallons, not a quart.
Well I like my waffles light and not crunchy, so I just cook it less? At Waffle House they do it perfect
Pretty sure he cooked it for the exact time specified on the back of the bag so if you like lighter waffles byt also like Waffle House idk what to tell you
Ban Marie is a plastic mini bucket Rubbermaid type
no double boilers and bain maries are interchangeable
NO! It is NOT!
You are correct.
That pitcher is a ban Marie just need a air sealed top
A bain marie is the top of a double boiler.

Right! That's why I like it better than Belgian
And the measurements for smaller size - !!!!!not making huge bag

Their are replicas of the Waffle House waffle makers without the logo on Amazon
@@robinlofton655 cool ok
@@robinlofton655 though I'm not sure it's the actual particular waffle maker that makes them thinner
