I still have memories of the guitar that Casio made back in the 80s. So tired of Smart this, Smart that, i this and i that. After years of guitar playing, I finally found a great guitar. It's a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded T. The guitar is everything you need to make great sound. It's nothing fancy but sounds amazing. Old school wiring and Burstbucker Pro pickups. No software updates are needed. I've worked in technology long enough to not trust it.

It's a fun travel guitar or for knocking around in the bedroom. I like having effects built in when I'm feeling lazy and goofing around. It's not going to be uour #1 guitar but as a practice guitar, I guess it depends on the price.

I bought one last year, unfortunately none in the UK, and I was stung a huge amount by UK customs, after buying one in Australia (also the warranty is invalidated)
The instrument is fine, reasonably versatile; the app. isn't, it's only valid for a year, and whilst the Chinese version seems to have all the bangs, and whistles (hard to tell, everything being in chinese) the English version doesn't!
Expensive, gimicky, sounds surprisingly good, and, at least theoretically, it's bomb proof, as long as the Russians don't put it to the test 😉
    PS a surprisingly good mic!

did you have the opportunity to play the original Frame Guitar? I mean the guitar (made by German company Framework Guitars) that Yamaha copied and sold as its own invention way back then... I can guarantee you after having played both, there is a remarkable difference, in favor of the original.

    Looks interesting?
But they definitely improved on this in the nexG2 it's speaker is 80watt over this one at 50watt and has much more features for altering the sounds including deep reverbs and delays and eq too..
But it's a bit pricey at 899euro for the nexG2 which is before shipping costs too? So probably not far of the 950euro mark? Probably a small discount might help attention for the product?
But they don't seem very much interested in new customers? Have inquired about the model 2 of this with the deluxe issue which is pretty much what you got for the nextG.
Which is a wireless pedal switching board, a charger stand for the guitar and wireless microphone 🎤 and a ear phones and wireless ear lapel mic I think as well?
    Great instrument.
But Enya why so slow to contact new customers?
    I'm interested?
Many thanks for the great video posting bro..
    Kind regards Vinn 😎 🎸 👍

It seems like it is the first iteration (version) of what may eventually become quite cool. But, for now, I see it as a toy, or a perhaps decent replacement for a cheap acoustic. I also feel that they need to get a good designer on staff. The visual aesthetics could be sooooo much better.

I bought one six months ago and after the battery discharged one time, I cannot charge it anymore. Sent an email to the company, and they quickly replied and promised a replacement but not sure how smoothly and long this will take... Maybe there is a trick to wake the battery up - I tried everything - holding buttons for a long time, different button combinations, etc. UPDATE: They sent me a brand new one and did not want me to return the non-functioning one. I never expected such an outcome! Total respect! No issues since.

I think that this idea looks a lot like Yamaha’s SLG200 series. The SLG is lacking the speaker, but is more attractive and has direct control of reverb and chorus. For less than $100 more, if you’re looking for a travel guitar, or a “silent” practice instrument, I’d give it serious consideration over the Enya.

The biggest drawback of this guitar is that you are limited to what Enya has provided in terms of sound. While that may be OK for a travel guitar, what I need is more control over the tone. At this point, the guitar is more of a toy you would take with you on vacation than something you would record with.

Well for a travel guitar the best I ever seen is the Bootlegger Spade you demoed. It could realistically be a guys only guitar. It is even designed to fit on the luggage rack on a plane. You have a choice to get it with or without a whammy. It is conventionally serviceable. You can update the PU's if you want. Not having the electronics built in is better design as they will be out of date in a heartbeat. A nice cheap but impressive NUX headset is far better with endless sounds and zero grief to simply replace. Because the Spade is well thought out ergonomically the only downside is personal ascetics which is very thin ice in a debate. With a price of $600 USD or $700 USD for a whammy it is more money but it's value for money is undeniable.

  • @Bluuplanet
    @Bluuplanet Год назад

I'm thinking this guitar is intended to work with an external amp. Maybe a keyboard or vocal amp more so than a guitar amp.
Yes, of course it has an internal speaker but if you're going to play a stand alone instrument, get a wood guitar.
Electronic instruments have evolved to the point where they are phenomenal at creating *electronic* sound *signals* and putting them into one end of a wire. But getting that signal out of the other end of the wire and transforming it into sound is like a separate technology...one thats been around for decades and doesn't fit on your lap.
I cant believe the little built-in speaker was intended to be the primary sound output for this instrument.
A lot of electronic stage pianos dont even have built-in speakers. Many do, but that was a sort of "why not?" by the designers...it's obligatory, and maybe primarily for the purpose of providing some vibratory feedback through your fingers while you hear the real music coming out of some studio monitors next to you if not some venue's house system.
That said, asthetically, this thing is not inspiring. It looks more like an appliance than an instrument. It has all the sex apeal of a CD player.
