EDIT 4: my new personal ranking for raiden's best teams after lots of testing are: 1) Raiden/Chev/Bennet/Xiangling. Can replace sara for bennet if C6, not sure which is better yet. If Chev isn't C6 then it's a sidegrade to national IMO. 2)Raiden/Furina/Yelan/xianyun with jean being a worse but still great option. 3) national 4) traditional hyper (but this is the best option if you need grouping) I think one of raiden's best features nowadays is that her top teams require completely different sets of supports, making her extremely versatile. In addition to easily working both in AOE and in single target. Sinkcho. EDIT 3: chev is a great option for her. Did lots of testing and it feels great. Check out her guide. EDIT 2: for speedrunning, national and Sara are still often used for raiden because of the front load being very valuable and getting better speedrun times. for extended rotations or more casual players, double hydro furina at least for me in practice feels much much stronger. As well as gcsim calcs also being higher. EDIT: to the people saying she’s not “top tier DPS”-- she sheets VERY well with Yelan Furina Jean. Especially if you give her a decent weapon. Add that to the QOL that she gives as a unit and she absolutely is a top tier DPS. Although you may disagree this is far from misinformation. I will alter the title though because I think this communicates the same message while also not being quite as rage baity lol

I started in 4.2 and just fell in love with raidens character. I was so hyped to know that raiden was coming so soon. Now Im guaranteed her with 180 wishes.

I skipped so many banners to get her C2 + weapon on her release. No regrets. Still my queen to this day. Whichever side she's on is always the easy/fast Abyss clear.
Furina is such a premium character, that I'm noticing a lot of TCs basically slap her into any team with a carry and say the numbers are great. Which is 100% true, but I only have one Furina so it's becoming hard to really understand the underlying strength of a given character without using Furina.
Raiden was fine even before Furina. Plus, only the dps characters that work fine without great supports is Neuvillette and maybe Althaitham, but they still work best with good supports like Kazuha for Neuvilette and Nahida for Alhaitham. Hu Tao for example uses the same team as this one being showcased. Neuvilette really seems to have skewed what people view as a good dps...

You inspired me to go back on my account and buff my characters. I just came back to the game after a long break and found I had a Jade Winged Spear I never touched! Raiden is my first 5 start AND the most favourite character in the game who i will absolutely love regardless new characters. Sometimes i forget how cool she is but do get constantly reminded about it.

Great video. I stumbled upon this channel during the Ayato banner. I was curious since Im an Ayato main and was pleasantly surprised at the multitude of team building ideas I havent tried yet. Definitely gonna try out some of these Raiden teams. Way too many sweaty gamers get hung up on meta, they forget theres other ways to enjoy the game. Keep up the good work, tons of info and helpful tips from this creator. 👍 To the meta slaves, try something new once in a while. You might enjoy it.

One thing I think many people take for granted is her battery capabilities. Back when I got her in 2.1, after 2 weeks of building her, Rational carried me through abyss 12 even though my team artifacts was really mid and low cons and 4* weap on all unit, my xingqiu was c1( with r1 sac) xangling was c2(the catch), bennett(the prototype sword) was c3 and I didn’t have the resource to optimize their artifacts for ER substats but suprising with Raiden I rarely find ER issues and also got me through the Dps check of the PMA.
@@dav6580 fav lance r1 since it was the only other polearm I leveled, I figured that since my Raiden had the most crit rate and was onfield the majority of the time so she could make better use of it than Xiangling and it worked suprisingly well.
she was my very first archon, and i couldn't be happier about it, her and zhongli are almost always in my strongests teams, one bring immortality the other brings damage by herself and improves damage for everyone else on the team
People really really really undersell C0 Raiden, especially compared to newer DPS. I've been using her to 36 star abyss almost every cycle for probably over a year at this point. Great single target damage with very decent AoE, pretty flexible teambuilding at this point, and works great with 4 star characters and f2p weapons as well. Also much easier to build on artifacts than some of the newer DPS since her BiS set is in strongbox and a lot of her good teammates also use it.
Could you possibly list a bunch of teams with her that work well? I want to pull for her because she's cool, but I don't yet have Nahida, Furina or Kazuha, I'm not sure if I could use her well. I only have a couple five star characters and characters like Xingqiu, Bennet, Xiangling are very important so I don't know if my second team would be strong if I used up too many of these.

Bennett/Xiangling/Xingqiu ("National"): very good in boss content, very easy to play Bennett/Kazuha (can probably sub Chevreuse)/Fischl or Sara or Xingqiu or flex slot: "Hyper", good damage overall, solid in single target and grouping especially with an anemo grouper. If using Chevreuse make sure to only use Pyro and Electro units; she doesn't offer Kazuha's grouping but is otherwise a reasonable substitute. Xingqiu or Yelan/Furina/Jean: extremely high single target damage, very comfy with Xingqiu, less demanding setups than National I'm less familiar with her aggravate teams but I imagine something like DMC/Fischl/flex would be good. Of course you can also use her full EM as a hyperbloom trigger, which is very strong. Basically Raiden/Any Dendro/Any Hydro (as long as at least one of the two is off-field)/Flex slot. Xingqiu or Yelan/DMC/Raiden or Kuki is a great single target team in almost any content, especially if all your teams are at a lower level of investment (artifact quality, talent level, presence of five star weapons and constellations, etc.) She doesn't require any other specific units to be good but it may be an issue if you lack too many of the good options. With the units you're missing I would bet that Bennett/Chevreuse/Xiangling or maybe another Pyro/Electro unit is probably going to be the best non-hyperbloom option.

But I just got Raiden yesterday and switched her to EM to try her out with nahida, furina, and zhongli and it was crazy cause you really could just activate everyone's skill and just leave it alone for a while I cant wait to try the first team comp tho cause I didn't farm a main dps build for nothing lol Once again, great guide!!
I’ve had Raiden since her release and have been using her ever since! I won my 50/50 during the recent 4.3 rerun and she finally C1! Because I have to save for my first copy of Nahida, I have to wait until her Raiden’s next rerun to get her C2! All in the name of eternity
Clear times aren't everything, and in fact the longer I play this game the less interested I am in fast clear times. As long as a team clears floor 12 with 9 stars, anything faster literally doesn't matter. Jello mentioned many of the benefits of the Furina/Yelan/Jean team in the video, such as the lack of circle impact (standing in Jean's circle is irrelevant and can be ignored completely), and not getting one-shot reacted out of existence when standing in Benny circle. Furina also does significant damage on skill, which can allow you to finish off a wave or a chamber and hold on to your bursts so you don't need to spend a ton of time batterying the team. All of these practical benefits make the Furina team MUCH more fun to play than national imo, and I am more than happy to clear a few seconds slower in exchange for a smoother gameplay experience.
Raiden is the only non standard five star I gave constellations to. If you don't have her, get her. If you like her, get her C2. If you love her, get her weapon. It's that easy. She is an archon. Naturally she is a fantastic character.
I've had raiden since her last banner, read the descriptions, I've watched/listened to this video twice before, and I'm only just finding out that her skill boosts the damage of teammate's bursts. I REALLY got to start paying more attention
Bro is absolutely right, Raiden is the best, mine is C0R1, and she constantly deals 250k+ from burst and 45k-55k per charge atk while in burst, shes absolutely amazing and great carry Team is Raiden - Sara (C4) - Kazuha - Bennet (C5)

I will get her this time around, every time she had a a rerun, i had for whatever reason no Primos and no intention of spending. But this time I have everything for C2R1 and she will be the Triple Crowned Monster she deserves to be.
"sword wielding lightning menace"... i love that description of her i got her recently (won 50/50 :D) and i just went here because your videos are very easy to understand. i want her mostly as off field damage dealer, but her flexibility is definitely her main draw in my eyes. the fact that she does well as off field or on field damage dealer is definitely an attractive prospect. i'll build her mostly for hyperbloom, but she's definitely one of those units where having multiple builds for different occasions is worth the trouble. except if i can build her as a dps and get tons of em anyway, because i've had times when all artifact substat roll into EM which is definitely a win in her case.
Ok let's make one thing very clear. Her on-field playstyle is her 1st playstyle. It is as she is designed, it works to all her strengths. Her Hyperbloom playstyle is her 2nd. It only uses 1 small part of her kit, and nothing else. It is heresy of the highest order. So in the end, there are Raiden players and there are Heretics.
Wait! some people were saying she is poor character? Seriously? Unless you don't care about shielding, Raiden Ei, Zhongli, and nahida are the best archons to have in your account at c0. Furina is good too but currently not a lot of teams use her and sometimes I think she is kinda overrated at c0. Venti is fine in specific situations but I often just use Kazuha except in Floor 11. Hyperbloom for Raiden is just the icing on the cake.😎
Honestly I was going to run her on a tighnari quicken team because her application is good, her burst fills the downtime during Tighnari's skill cooldowns, and Yaoyao and Sucrose are having ER issues. Also, all that ER into elemental damage bonus, further buffing her quickens sounds quite nice.
She does work perfectly with tignari, I duo clear abyss with those two , tignari with wanderers troop set , raiden with a good deepwood set , you good to go
That first team you mentioned (Ei, Furina, Yelan, Jean), i tried and works really well. (even though i just put some random artifacts on Jean as i wasn't using her for years...) Good Job!!
My C6 Kuki helps me out beautifully with Hyperbloom so I thought I could skip Raiden but now I'm tempted to pull for her especially since she's an archon and to complete my Tall Badass Women collection 😂 (Yelan, Beidou, Raiden, Ninnguang)
My best advice would be to make yourself a list of "priority characters", according to the characters you love the most, the ones you feel like they'd improve your account, or if it's too hard with those criterias those you'd regret the most if you didn't pull them. It's important to think on the long run when it's possible, so you won't be in a tight spot when a beloved character comes. 😊
If you want her go for her if not don’t, never pull a character you don’t love or like. That being said raiden has so many more uses than as a hyper bloom e bot. You have her hyper carry her rational team as well. Raiden is an amazing battery and has extremely high burst damage that makes her better with investment and at c2 and c3 she deletes everything I’ve gotten a 612k initial slash and 115k charged attacks with her. Damage wise she’s as good as they come and she’s will battery your team and increase burst damage based on energy cost which those are her best features. You miss out on those features in a hyperbloom where you don’t use her burst.
Thanks for making this video! I got raiden when she first came out and loved her, but never invested in her enough to see huge damage. Once i heard people say how good her c2 was, I became really demotivated to ever try and build her because i'd always be running a version of her that's not as good as it could be. But I'm excited to try and build her once I finish building navia and next time furina is on the banner I'll probably be pulling for her! I wasn't playing during Furina so i missed her but i think im going to have to get her eventually!
I'm using the same team (Raiden, Furina, Yelan, Jean). My Raiden is using Homa so it's perfect having that +HP from Hydro Resonance, i get extra atk from the weapon passive
JelloImpact Great video, I watched multiple times! Is there any theory crafting around your hyper-hyperbloom Raiden? I want to use furina with her, and c6 yao yao is my best healer so I feel like there's an opportunity to both on field dps and hyperbloom, but I'm wondering if split investing has been tested? Even if it's a bit worse it's fun, I just hope it's not dramatically worse lol. You talked about a hyper-hyperbloom idea in this vid but i dont recall seeing the build you used for it, maybe for another video?! 😁

I was planning to C2 Raiden and grab her weapon this banner, but with Cloud Retainer coming and Shenhe potentially having a banner soon after Cloud Retainer's, my plans are potentially changing. Shenhe is the main character I don't have who I've wanted for a while now, and I also want Cloud Retainer. I've had Yelan for a while now and use her all the time with Raiden, and I got a lucky Furina pull when I was restocking my Paimon's Bargains funds, and Cloud Retainer would fill the Jean role on the team, so I guess I have a combination of characters to use that makes C2R1 Raiden kinda overkill. But then overkill can be really fun! But I guess for now my current plan is to use Raiden's banner to restock my Paimon's Bargains funds again and see if I get any lucky pulls then wait til closer to the end of the banner when I have more information about upcoming banners to make a more informed decision about what to do. I suppose there's also the option of going kinda no life for a while and grinding the immense amount of available primogems I've never bothered to collect in the game to try and grab everything. Like, I've barely done any of the character quests or miscellaneous quests or domains or challenges or gone out of my way to look for chests. Just putting in some minimal effort today I collected a full 1,600 primogems in like a couple of hours. At the very least I'll definitely wait and see where I stand towards the end of Raiden's banner.
Nahida is predicted to be released in 4.4 and since she is such a valuable pull, I am choosing to save my wishes to guarantee a copy of Nahida. I might pull for Raiden on my main, but I want Nahida on my alt account first before pulling for the Almight Raiden Shogun.
I'm basically at pity for guaranteed Raiden so should get her with maybe 10 pulls and I have 230 wishes which I'll keep above 180 for Nahida... been waiting for a while 😅
That Nahida/Yelan/Xingqiu/Shogun team is almost what I'd been maining in the overworld, except one of the Hydro characters was always swapped for Zhongli.

Double Hydro Team with Main HyperCarry Raiden is really a great team. The last slot with Jean just completes the team because she synergies really good with Furina.
One thing about Raiden is that she is absolutely a great unit to trigger Crystalize in Navia team. Navia + Raiden + Bennett + Zhongli absolutely destroy the Abyss. all 3 of them can benefit from Bennette burst. Raiden apply consistent electro to proc crystalize. Zhongli & Navia provide Geo res + increase shield + increase damage. Since Navia does not require much on-field time, you can quickly swap to Raiden to use her burst with Bennette buff. Raiden provide energy refund for the whole team. I have Homa but I use Raiden with Fav Lance instead, and this team is unstoppable. I even use this team to fight current Abyss with Geo slimes in it, and Geo slimes got slapped hard.
If I may leave some criticism, one I think is constructive, I'd recommend you to NOT have closed captions in your videos when you don't manually write them. 3:04 I'm a Raiden enjoyer, she's the reason I'm still playing as I was close to quitting, not a "Raiden and Jorz". If those came from one of those fancy AI thingies, you might want to double check them before embedding them in your videos. Our eyes are innately attracted to moving things, which means we'll be forced to look at the subtitles. Another thing that's been bothering me for a while are the cuts. Sooooooo many of them; way too many. Not sure what's happening there, but I stopped looking at the videos because of that, and when I finally decide to look because of Raiden, I see cuts and incorrect imbedded subtitles. :c Raiden and Jorz unite! She's NOT mid, not even close, and she's not a Hyperbloom bot. I’m a new player, been about 2 weeks, I saved and pulled on the Raiden banner and got her on second 10 wish, I’m AR 25 today and have a few 4*, not sure who to build to compliment her
I think people hugely underestimate Raiden's value, particularly in terms of the QOL she offers in combat. I won't argue that she has the highest damage output. But I would argue that most 5-star DPSes in this game perform a lot more closely than people think, and by the time you have your characters min-maxed, whoever does the most damage starts to matter less than whoever gives you the most consistent and comfortable clears. Especially against overly aggressive enemies such as the constipated beasts and the dancing bosses. That's why I enjoy using her, even in her supposedly less optimal teams -- I play her in aggravate with Baizhu and Kazuha a lot, it's one of my favorite AOE teams to play and it's definitely cleared multiple abysses for me. (No 5-star weapons or cons btw, I still don't even have Fischl at C6) Her team comp flexibility also makes her a very versatile carry that can tackle a wide variety of enemy situations. That flexibility is also valuable to have for newer accounts with a thin roster. IMO she's a worthy pull at all levels of investment, especially with her comfort and versatility. Of course people who don't like her playstyle, don't need that comfort, or prefer a more high-risk high-reward gameplay will find less value in her and that's OK too
hi! quick question... is this raiden overload team okay? (c3 raiden, c6 xiangling, c6 bennett and c6 chevreuse) or should i replace sara c6 with any of them?
Pretty sure that with C2 she blows hyperbloom out of the water in her typical skill bot role teams, like, even at C0 she is close to them as far as I can tell, it's just that the investment is much easier on hyperbloom, but optimized C2 should clear it with no problem unless you got C2 Nahida or whatever nonsense hyperbloom can be.
nah, i have an extremely invested c2 hyper carry raiden (with jade wing spear, no signature yet) and a c0 nahida on a hyperbloom team with extremely low investment, with nahida not even having all the correct main stats on her artifacts (literally spend 2 days worth of resin on nahida's artifact domain when she released and just went with whatever i got)... and my nahida team beats out my raiden hyper carry team by a bit, not a ton, but its very noticeable. i feel like people, and especially theory crafters just love to downplay hyperbloom now for some reason, but it just slaps other high investment options out of the water. that all said, my koujo sara is only c5, and so once i get c6 i think the classical hyper raiden team will just barely take the edge, but if i put literally any amount of investment in my hyperbloom team, its going to shoot back ahead. maybe if i then got raiden's weapon it might get closer, but i still think hyperbloom will still be quite a bit ahead. not sure how the teams in the video play out compared, but i highly doubt its super far ahead of hyperbloom like you say. oh and i should mention, i'm comparing a hyperbloom team with fischl as the electro trigger not even kuki, to raiden c2 hyper carry here... if i used raiden as the hyperbloom trigger... holy crap feel like there would be no contest. Edit: my main abyss teams were raiden and nahida, up until furina and nuv... even with low investment they very easily jumped ahead of both my hyper carry raiden, and my hyperbloom nahida team... and so when deciding to cut a team to be replaced in abyss, i cut the weaker one, so now i run two low investment teams, and my most invested, hyper carry raiden team, is benched which sucks... but i very much do not recommend people pull constellations for characters that require literally 2 years of farming artifacts to be weaker then another character at c0 with 2 days of farming artifacts. if you were unlucky enough to pull for c2 raiden, just use her as a hyperbloom bot, she will do more damage easier.

Or better yet, the level of investment, albeit not as expensive as most but still up there, needed to make her a then competitive dps. Unless people are, idk, farming pity, which would be crazy, right?

@@azureaurelia5381 i'm not making anything up, this is just my own experience with using the various teams against abyss and weekly bosses. the damage of hyperbloom is just better and comes way easier. again i have to state its without c6 sara, and not raiden's signature, but is very much c2 raiden... so i know there is room for improvement, and i imagine i could surpass by hyperbloom team with those two, but the level of investment required is stupid... i'm f2p and pulled c2 raiden cause i liked her playstyle, no one is more disappointed i benched her then me... maybe my raiden's crit stats aren't the best? 2 years of farming and i run 80-150cv... obviously could be better, but again we are talking 2 years of farming, versus 2 days of farming, not ideal main stats, and a electro trigger with off set em pieces...
My raiden c2r1 is doing 410k from her initial burst in standard hyper. With furina she is doing around 270k but the clear time is much faster due to the high off field dmg. If you like seeing big number the kujo bennet kazuha team is still better but for more easy fast clear the furina team is better.
I got Raiden a few days ago and she really is for me that versatile and ez to use! At the moment I’m at AR 35 and she helped me clear Abyss 4 for Colei and clear dragonspine 95% atm. I play her mostly in a team with xiaoqing/ xiangli / Bennett and xiaoqing/ colei (c1)/ sucrose (c1). For the chi of yore quest I made a impromptu team with amber and Rosario for the last flying ruin guard which enabled me to clear that annoying quest. Before her I couldn’t clear the 3 ruin guards in wave 2. she’s still at lvl 40 and outperforms most of the other chars I have dog wise. So much ❤❤❤❤ for her! Tbf , I have c3 raiden and the sheer amount of teams I can make with her and every single one of them absolutely crushing abyss , is infinitely better than playing a dps who is tied to a few teams but has more dps than c0 raiden . It's honestly an addiction of mine to clear with more than 15 team comps with raiden . But this abyss has thunder manifestation so it sucks ! I hope you get addicted too after your raiden c2 . Lol .
she is 100% worth the investment, ever since pulling her during her first banner on September 1, 2021, she has NOT left the abyss, Raiden national is so universal and so powerful and so f2p friendly that team can take on any abyss content...
Cool, guide. Would prefer tho if you did not do the hard baked auto-generated subtitles into the video. IMO if subtitles are hard-baked they really have to be manually transcribed, or else the numerous false recognitions get very distracting. If you want to do auto-transcribed subtitles, youtube already has a feature for that baseline, which the user can turn off at will, no need to force it onto people that might not want them.
A team comp that I use is Raiden-Kazuha-Nahida-Bennet. It has really carried me since I got Nahida, and she's a good substitute for kujou sara if you dont have her c6. Even if my Raiden isnt built on em, she does alot of aggravate dmg as she gets em from Nahida's burst. With kazuha also having alot of em, you can also go Dendro dmg bonus/Em/Crit on Nahida, and she can dish out pretty good damage out of her skill. I know it falls from the more used comps, but I really enjoy it!
I'm definitely prioritizing and using my guaranteed for Yoimiya, but I am aiming to get Raiden, too. I want all the archons, I just hate that they ran her with Yoimiya!!

I have her weapon and I'll say that going for C2 is more better than getting his weapons cause that 60% def reduction is what make raiden deals ton of damage specially if you have both weapons and C2 but need a high investment 😅

Though this abyss is pretty easy, I thought there was no way I'd clear with the Raiden-Furina-Nahida-Baizhu team because of electro manifestation on second half and Tulpa on first half getting rid of Furina's damage but it surprised me and performed superbly on the first half only using Furina for her buff against Tulpa. I didn't even properly build her for it. Just switched out my skyward spine for dragon's bane. 🤷🏿♂️
When I got Raiden she was my 2nd Limited 5-star (After Kazuha) and when I got Mona I basically used Raiden Hyper(Mona, Kazu, Bennett) for One side of every abyss until Mid Sumeru. Recently though I find my favorite Raiden team to be Raiden, Nahida, Yae, Bennett. It's mostly a Yae team but Raiden Nahida make Yae feel so good, and makes use of my precious Bennett who was getting benched by Hyperbloom Kiki and my beloved Noelle teams. I still bust out the Double hydro hyperbloom teams now and again, but Raiden is such a timeless Unit providing so much comfort and Burst buffing, while being an amazing dps
I decided to vertical invest 1st, In process of going for Raiden c2 (c1 now) with c6 Sara, Raiden's stats are 2.3k ATK/r3 Homa/66/147/54% Electro Damage/234 ER% - I like her in Hypercarry the best so far, with Kazuha on Fav, and Benny on Fav/Sac. Burst uptime is fine, I burst for 217k but I did wish I have better ER purely for more Electro damage. Ive tried it with The catch r5, more ER, less CD - tried it was lower CR, Electro goblet, more ER - it all bursts less. She's probably been the hardest for me to build, and that domain, god that domain. It will just take time I guess. I do feel like getting her sig might solve some issues with stats, but I have had SO many people say, "you cant use National unless you have this. You cant use Hypercarry unless you have this. Dont bother getting her weapon if unless you have this" - That's why I skipped her twice before deciding to pull for her finally this banner. I really do like her play-style, everything, especially if you have ER, seems quick-swap which I prefer. I'll just pray and keep farming and will go for her sig next time and then her c3. I uh...I would like to retract my statement. Just tried Raiden + Chev OL (Chev is lv.60, talents 7 on 4pc tenacity so no where near fully built) Raiden + Sara + Chev + Benny, I am now hitting 240-250k....I don't even wanna see those numbers when I get c2 (maybe c3 later?) as well as her weapon. Raiden is very satisfying and fun - it seems with Chev's release, a perfect time to pull.

EDIT 4: my new personal ranking for raiden's best teams after lots of testing are:
1) Raiden/Chev/Bennet/Xiangling. Can replace sara for bennet if C6, not sure which is better yet. If Chev isn't C6 then it's a sidegrade to national IMO.
2)Raiden/Furina/Yelan/xianyun with jean being a worse but still great option.
3) national
4) traditional hyper (but this is the best option if you need grouping)
I think one of raiden's best features nowadays is that her top teams require completely different sets of supports, making her extremely versatile. In addition to easily working both in AOE and in single target.

EDIT 2: for speedrunning, national and Sara are still often used for raiden because of the front load being very valuable and getting better speedrun times. for extended rotations or more casual players, double hydro furina at least for me in practice feels much much stronger. As well as gcsim calcs also being higher.
EDIT: to the people saying she’s not “top tier DPS”-- she sheets VERY well with Yelan Furina Jean. Especially if you give her a decent weapon. Add that to the QOL that she gives as a unit and she absolutely is a top tier DPS. Although you may disagree this is far from misinformation. I skipped so many banners to get her C2 + weapon on her release. No regrets. Still my queen to this day. Whichever side she's on is always the easy/fast Abyss clear.
Furina is such a premium character, that I'm noticing a lot of TCs basically slap her into any team with a carry and say the numbers are great. Which is 100% true, but I only have one Furina so it's becoming hard to really understand the underlying strength of a given character without using Furina.
It’s true but raiden is the comfiest and easy to play driver while also having competitive dps which makes it so great
Raiden was fine even before Furina. Plus, only the dps characters that work fine without great supports is Neuvillette and maybe Althaitham, but they still work best with good supports like Kazuha for Neuvilette and Nahida for Alhaitham. Hu Tao for example uses the same team as this one being showcased. Neuvilette really seems to have skewed what people view as a good dps...

Great video. I stumbled upon this channel during the Ayato banner. I was curious since Im an Ayato main and was pleasantly surprised at the multitude of team building ideas I havent tried yet. Definitely gonna try out some of these Raiden teams. Way too many sweaty gamers get hung up on meta, they forget theres other ways to enjoy the game. One thing I think many people take for granted is her battery capabilities. Back when I got her in 2.1, after 2 weeks of building her, Rational carried me through abyss 12 even though my team artifacts was really mid and low cons and 4* weap on all unit, my xingqiu was c1( with r1 sac) xangling was c2(the catch), bennett(the prototype sword) was c3 and I didn’t have the resource to optimize their artifacts for ER substats but suprising with Raiden I rarely find ER issues and also got me through the Dps check of the PMA.
What was on raiden when xiangling had the catch?
@@dav6580 fav lance r1 since it was the only other polearm I leveled, I figured that since my Raiden had the most crit rate and was onfield the majority of the time so she could make better use of it than Xiangling and it worked suprisingly well.

she was my very first archon, and i couldn't be happier about it, her and zhongli are almost always in my strongests teams, one bring immortality the other brings damage by herself and improves damage for everyone else on the team
The interruption resistance is what keeps her top tier imo.
People really really really undersell C0 Raiden, especially compared to newer DPS. I've been using her to 36 star abyss almost every cycle for probably over a year at this point. Great single target damage with very decent AoE, pretty flexible teambuilding at this point, and works great with 4 star characters and f2p weapons as well. Also much easier to build on artifacts than some of the newer DPS since her BiS set is in strongbox and a lot of her good teammates also use it.

Could you possibly list a bunch of teams with her that work well? I want to pull for her because she's cool, but I don't yet have Nahida, Furina or Kazuha, I'm not sure if I could use her well. I only have a couple five star characters and characters like Xingqiu, Bennet, Xiangling are very important so I don't know if my second team would be strong if I used up too many of these.

Bennett/Xiangling/Xingqiu ("National"): very good in boss content, very easy to play
Bennett/Kazuha (can probably sub Chevreuse)/Fischl or Sara or Xingqiu or flex slot: "Hyper", good damage overall, solid in single target and grouping especially with an anemo grouper. If using Chevreuse make sure to only use Pyro and Electro units; she doesn't offer Kazuha's grouping but is otherwise a reasonable substitute.
Xingqiu or Yelan/Furina/Jean: extremely high single target damage, very comfy with Xingqiu, less demanding setups than National
I'm less familiar with her aggravate teams but I imagine something like DMC/Fischl/flex would be good.
Of course you can also use her full EM as a hyperbloom trigger, which is very strong. Basically Raiden/Any Dendro/Any Hydro (as long as at least one of the two is off-field)/Flex slot. Xingqiu or Yelan/DMC/Raiden or Kuki is a great single target team in almost any content, especially if all your teams are at a lower level of investment (artifact quality, talent level, presence of five star weapons and constellations, etc.)
She doesn't require any other specific units to be good but it may be an issue if you lack too many of the good options. With the units you're missing I would bet that Bennett/Chevreuse/Xiangling or maybe another Pyro/Electro unit is probably going to be the best non-hyperbloom option.

I’ve had Raiden since her release and have been using her ever since! I won my 50/50 during the recent 4.3 rerun and she finally C1! Because I have to save for my first copy of Nahida, I have to wait until her Raiden’s next rerun to get her C2! All in the name of eternity
I clear faster with the original raiden national than when I try the new furina yelan jean team
Clear times aren't everything, and in fact the longer I play this game the less interested I am in fast clear times. As long as a team clears floor 12 with 9 stars, anything faster literally doesn't matter.
Jello mentioned many of the benefits of the Furina/Yelan/Jean team in the video, such as the lack of circle impact (standing in Jean's circle is irrelevant and can be ignored completely), and not getting one-shot reacted out of existence when standing in Benny circle. Furina also does significant damage on skill, which can allow you to finish off a wave or a chamber and hold on to your bursts so you don't need to spend a ton of time batterying the team.
All of these practical benefits make the Furina team MUCH more fun to play than national imo, and I am more than happy to clear a few seconds slower in exchange for a smoother gameplay experience.

Raiden is the only non standard five star I gave constellations to. If you don't have her, get her. If you like her, get her C2. If you love her, get her weapon. It's that easy. She is an archon. Naturally she is a fantastic character.
I've had raiden since her last banner, read the descriptions, I've watched/listened to this video twice before, and I'm only just finding out that her skill boosts the damage of teammate's bursts.

i got her recently (won 50/50 :D) and i just went here because your videos are very easy to understand. i want her mostly as off field damage dealer, but her flexibility is definitely her main draw in my eyes. the fact that she does well as off field or on field damage dealer is definitely an attractive prospect. i'll build her mostly for hyperbloom, but she's definitely one of those units where having multiple builds for different occasions is worth the trouble. except if i can build her as a dps and get tons of em anyway, because i've had times when all artifact substat roll into EM which is definitely a win in her case.
Ok let's make one thing very clear.
Her on-field playstyle is her 1st playstyle. It is as she is designed, it works to all her strengths.
Her Hyperbloom playstyle is her 2nd. It only uses 1 small part of her kit, and nothing else. It is heresy of the highest order.
So in the end, there are Raiden players and there are Heretics.
Fruee those hyperbloom heretics are at fault

Unless you don't care about shielding, Raiden Ei, Zhongli, and nahida are the best archons to have in your account at c0. Furina is good too but currently not a lot of teams use her and sometimes I think she is kinda overrated at c0. Venti is fine in specific situations but I often just use Kazuha except in Floor 11. Hyperbloom for Raiden is just the icing on the cake.😎
Honestly I was going to run her on a tighnari quicken team because her application is good, her burst fills the downtime during Tighnari's skill cooldowns, and Yaoyao and Sucrose are having ER issues. Also, all that ER into elemental damage bonus, further buffing her quickens sounds quite nice.
She does work perfectly with tignari, I duo clear abyss with those two , tignari with wanderers troop set , raiden with a good deepwood set , you good to go

My C6 Kuki helps me out beautifully with Hyperbloom so I thought I could skip Raiden but now I'm tempted to pull for her especially since she's an archon and to complete my Tall Badass Women collection 😂 (Yelan, Beidou, Raiden, Ninnguang)
My best advice would be to make yourself a list of "priority characters", according to the characters you love the most, the ones you feel like they'd improve your account, or if it's too hard with those criterias those you'd regret the most if you didn't pull them.
It's important to think on the long run when it's possible, so you won't be in a tight spot when a beloved character comes. 😊
If you want her go for her if not don’t, never pull a character you don’t love or like. That being said raiden has so many more uses than as a hyper bloom e bot. You have her hyper carry her rational team as well. Raiden is an amazing battery and has extremely high burst damage that makes her better with investment and at c2 and c3 she deletes everything I’ve gotten a 612k initial slash and 115k charged attacks with her. Damage wise she’s as good as they come and she’s will battery your team and increase burst damage based on energy cost which those are her best features. You miss out on those features in a hyperbloom where you don’t use her burst.
Thanks for making this video! I got raiden when she first came out and loved her, but never invested in her enough to see huge damage. Once i heard people say how good her c2 was, I became really demotivated to ever try and build her because i'd always be running a version of her that's not as good as it could be. But I'm excited to try and build her once I finish building navia and next time furina is on the banner I'll probably be pulling for her! I wasn't playing during Furina so i missed her but i think im going to have to get her eventually!

My Raiden is using Homa so it's perfect having that +HP from Hydro Resonance, i get extra atk from the weapon passive

I want to use furina with her, and c6 yao yao is my best healer so I feel like there's an opportunity to both on field dps and hyperbloom, but I'm wondering if split investing has been tested? I was planning to C2 Raiden and grab her weapon this banner, but with Cloud Retainer coming and Shenhe potentially having a banner soon after Cloud Retainer's, my plans are potentially changing. Shenhe is the main character I don't have who I've wanted for a while now, and I also want Cloud Retainer. I've had Yelan for a while now and use her all the time with Raiden, and I got a lucky Furina pull when I was restocking my Paimon's Bargains funds, and Cloud Retainer would fill the Jean role on the team, so I guess I have a combination of characters to use that makes C2R1 Raiden kinda overkill. But then overkill can be really fun! But I guess for now my current plan is to use Raiden's banner to restock my Paimon's Bargains funds again and see if I get any lucky pulls then wait til closer to the end of the banner when I have more information about upcoming banners to make a more informed decision about what to do. I suppose there's also the option of going kinda no life for a while and grinding the immense amount of available primogems I've never bothered to collect in the game to try and grab everything. Like, I've barely done any of the character quests or miscellaneous quests or domains or challenges or gone out of my way to look for chests. Just putting in some minimal effort today I collected a full 1,600 primogems in like a couple of hours. At the very least I'll definitely wait and see where I stand towards the end of Raiden's banner.

Nahida is predicted to be released in 4.4 and since she is such a valuable pull, I am choosing to save my wishes to guarantee a copy of Nahida. I might pull for Raiden on my main, but I want Nahida on my alt account first before pulling for the Almight Raiden Shogun.
I'm basically at pity for guaranteed Raiden so should get her with maybe 10 pulls and I have 230 wishes which I'll keep above 180 for Nahida... been waiting for a while 😅
in 10 pulls I'll be getting a 5 star but I'm at 50/50 and got just 50 pulls with me. I want Raiden but too sad I have to skip her for Nahida 😢

That Nahida/Yelan/Xingqiu/Shogun team is almost what I'd been maining in the overworld, except one of the Hydro characters was always swapped for Zhongli.
Great video! As a lore accurate Raiden playstyle enjoyer this video gave me hope that she'll finally be seen as a good DPS character... totally not saving for cloud retainer to have more options for her teams, meme or not... nuh uh
Double Hydro Team with Main HyperCarry Raiden is really a great team. The last slot with Jean just completes the team because she synergies really good with Furina.
One thing about Raiden is that she is absolutely a great unit to trigger Crystalize in Navia team. Navia + Raiden + Bennett + Zhongli absolutely destroy the Abyss. all 3 of them can benefit from Bennette burst. Raiden apply consistent electro to proc crystalize. Zhongli & Navia provide Geo res + increase shield + increase damage. Since Navia does not require much on-field time, you can quickly swap to Raiden to use her burst with Bennette buff. Raiden provide energy refund for the whole team. I have Homa but I use Raiden with Fav Lance instead, and this team is unstoppable. I even use this team to fight current Abyss with Geo slimes in it, and Geo slimes got slapped hard.
Raiden never misses. To this day if I’m struggling on a particular abyss my first thought is so try a Raiden team. Rational, oh how you’ve carried me
If I may leave some criticism, one I think is constructive, I'd recommend you to NOT have closed captions in your videos when you don't manually write them.
3:04 I'm a Raiden enjoyer, she's the reason I'm still playing as I was close to quitting, not a "Raiden and Jorz". If those came from one of those fancy AI thingies, you might want to double check them before embedding them in your videos. Our eyes are innately attracted to moving things, which means we'll be forced to look at the subtitles.
Another thing that's been bothering me for a while are the cuts. Sooooooo many of them; way too many. Not sure what's happening there, but I stopped looking at the videos because of that, and when I finally decide to look because of Raiden, I see cuts and incorrect imbedded subtitles. :c
Raiden and Jorz unite! She's NOT mid, not even close, and she's not a Hyperbloom bot. She's one of the best DPS in the game, and I'll defend her till the very end!!

9:40 I have been trying to get hybrid Raiden working since i got her but EM or Gilded Dreams artifacts makes my burst super weak. So you're saying it's good to build her like normal on fielder and let Nahida, Instructors, and Battle of the Fjords give her the EM?
I’m a new player, been about 2 weeks, I saved and pulled on the Raiden banner and got her on second 10 wish, I’m AR 25 today and have a few 4*, not sure who to build to compliment her
I think people hugely underestimate Raiden's value, particularly in terms of the QOL she offers in combat. I won't argue that she has the highest damage output. But I would argue that most 5-star DPSes in this game perform a lot more closely than people think, and by the time you have your characters min-maxed, whoever does the most damage starts to matter less than whoever gives you the most consistent and comfortable clears. Especially against overly aggressive enemies such as the constipated beasts and the dancing bosses.
That's why I enjoy using her, even in her supposedly less optimal teams -- I play her in aggravate with Baizhu and Kazuha a lot, it's one of my favorite AOE teams to play and it's definitely cleared multiple abysses for me. (No 5-star weapons or cons btw, I still don't even have Fischl at C6)
Her team comp flexibility also makes her a very versatile carry that can tackle a wide variety of enemy situations. That flexibility is also valuable to have for newer accounts with a thin roster.
IMO she's a worthy pull at all levels of investment, especially with her comfort and versatility. Of course people who don't like her playstyle, don't need that comfort, or prefer a more high-risk high-reward gameplay will find less value in her and that's OK too

hi! quick question... is this raiden overload team okay? (c3 raiden, c6 xiangling, c6 bennett and c6 chevreuse) or should i replace sara c6 with any of them?
Replace Bennet with sara.. chev has atk boost and heal already.
Pretty sure that with C2 she blows hyperbloom out of the water in her typical skill bot role teams, like, even at C0 she is close to them as far as I can tell, it's just that the investment is much easier on hyperbloom, but optimized C2 should clear it with no problem unless you got C2 Nahida or whatever nonsense hyperbloom can be.
nah, i have an extremely invested c2 hyper carry raiden (with jade wing spear, no signature yet) and a c0 nahida on a hyperbloom team with extremely low investment, with nahida not even having all the correct main stats on her artifacts (literally spend 2 days worth of resin on nahida's artifact domain when she released and just went with whatever i got)... and my nahida team beats out my raiden hyper carry team by a bit, not a ton, but its very noticeable.
i feel like people, and especially theory crafters just love to downplay hyperbloom now for some reason, but it just slaps other high investment options out of the water.
that all said, my koujo sara is only c5, and so once i get c6 i think the classical hyper raiden team will just barely take the edge, but if i put literally any amount of investment in my hyperbloom team, its going to shoot back ahead. maybe if i then got raiden's weapon it might get closer, but i still think hyperbloom will still be quite a bit ahead. not sure how the teams in the video play out compared, but i highly doubt its super far ahead of hyperbloom like you say.
oh and i should mention, i'm comparing a hyperbloom team with fischl as the electro trigger not even kuki, to raiden c2 hyper carry here... if i used raiden as the hyperbloom trigger... holy crap feel like there would be no contest.
Edit: my main abyss teams were raiden and nahida, up until furina and nuv... even with low investment they very easily jumped ahead of both my hyper carry raiden, and my hyperbloom nahida team... and so when deciding to cut a team to be replaced in abyss, i cut the weaker one, so now i run two low investment teams, and my most invested, hyper carry raiden team, is benched which sucks... but i very much do not recommend people pull constellations for characters that require literally 2 years of farming artifacts to be weaker then another character at c0 with 2 days of farming artifacts.
if you were unlucky enough to pull for c2 raiden, just use her as a hyperbloom bot, she will do more damage easier.
@@xXzman9000XxI wouldn’t necessarily call someone “unlucky” for having pulled a C2 Raiden as in most people who pulling Raiden are well aware of that spike it gives. Or better yet, the level of investment, albeit not as expensive as most but still up there, needed to make her a then competitive dps. Unless people are, idk, farming pity, which would be crazy, right?

the damage of hyperbloom is just better and comes way easier.
again i have to state its without c6 sara, and not raiden's signature, but is very much c2 raiden... so i know there is room for improvement, and i imagine i could surpass by hyperbloom team with those two, but the level of investment required is stupid...
i'm f2p and pulled c2 raiden cause i liked her playstyle, no one is more disappointed i benched her then me...
maybe my raiden's crit stats aren't the best? 2 years of farming and i run 80-150cv... obviously could be better, but again we are talking 2 years of farming, versus 2 days of farming, not ideal main stats, and a electro trigger with off set em pieces...
My raiden c2r1 is doing 410k from her initial burst in standard hyper. With furina she is doing around 270k but the clear time is much faster due to the high off field dmg. If you like seeing big number the kujo bennet kazuha team is still better but for more easy fast clear the furina team is better.
I got Raiden a few days ago and she really is for me that versatile and ez to use! At the moment I’m at AR 35 and she helped me clear Abyss 4 for Colei and clear dragonspine 95% atm. I play her mostly in a team with xiaoqing/ xiangli / Bennett and xiaoqing/ colei (c1)/ sucrose (c1). For the chi of yore quest I made a impromptu team with amber and Rosario for the last flying ruin guard which enabled me to clear that annoying quest. Before her I couldn’t clear the 3 ruin guards in wave 2. she’s still at lvl 40 and outperforms most of the other chars I have dog wise. So much ❤❤❤❤ for her! She’s my second 5* after a quiqui pull, which I didn’t lvl up. Willalso try to lvl my chevreuse later to try that combinatio.
raiden main here, absoluteky agree with everything in this video. She is very very powerful. I use her in every abyss and clears pretty fast. as an F2P player if u dont have her get her, she is fun, beautiful and meta
Tbf , I have c3 raiden and the sheer amount of teams I can make with her and every single one of them absolutely crushing abyss , is infinitely better than playing a dps who is tied to a few teams but has more dps than c0 raiden . It's honestly an addiction of mine to clear with
more than 15 team comps with raiden . But this abyss has thunder manifestation so it sucks ! I hope you get addicted too after your raiden c2 . Lol .
she is 100% worth the investment, ever since pulling her during her first banner on September 1, 2021, she has NOT left the abyss, Raiden national is so universal and so powerful and so f2p friendly that team can take on any abyss content...
Cool, guide. Would prefer tho if you did not do the hard baked auto-generated subtitles into the video. IMO if subtitles are hard-baked they really have to be manually transcribed, or else the numerous false recognitions get very distracting. If you want to do auto-transcribed subtitles, youtube already has a feature for that baseline, which the user can turn off at will, no need to force it onto people that might not want them.
A team comp that I use is Raiden-Kazuha-Nahida-Bennet. It has really carried me since I got Nahida, and she's a good substitute for kujou sara if you dont have her c6. Even if my Raiden isnt built on em, she does alot of aggravate dmg as she gets em from Nahida's burst. With kazuha also having alot of em, you can also go Dendro dmg bonus/Em/Crit on Nahida, and she can dish out pretty good damage out of her skill. I know it falls from the more used comps, but I really enjoy it!
I'm definitely prioritizing and using my guaranteed for Yoimiya, but I am aiming to get Raiden, too. I want all the archons, I just hate that they ran her with Yoimiya!!
This woyld ve my dilemma if I didn't have Raiden. Thankfully, I already have her so I'll definitely pull for Yoimiya. I'm not guaranteed tho and only 11 into pity. lol

I have her weapon and I'll say that going for C2 is more better than getting his weapons cause that 60% def reduction is what make raiden deals ton of damage specially if you have both weapons and C2 but need a high investment 😅

Though this abyss is pretty easy, I thought there was no way I'd clear with the Raiden-Furina-Nahida-Baizhu team because of electro manifestation on second half and Tulpa on first half getting rid of Furina's damage but it surprised me and performed superbly on the first half only using Furina for her buff against Tulpa. I didn't even properly build her for it. Just switched out my skyward spine for dragon's bane. 🤷🏿♂️
When I got Raiden she was my 2nd Limited 5-star (After Kazuha) and when I got Mona I basically used Raiden Hyper(Mona, Kazu, Bennett) for One side of every abyss until Mid Sumeru. Recently though I find my favorite Raiden team to be Raiden, Nahida, Yae, Bennett. It's mostly a Yae team but Raiden Nahida make Yae feel so good, and makes use of my precious Bennett who was getting benched by Hyperbloom Kiki and my beloved Noelle teams. I still bust out the Double hydro hyperbloom teams now and again, but Raiden is such a timeless Unit providing so much comfort and Burst buffing, while being an amazing dps
I decided to vertical invest 1st, In process of going for Raiden c2 (c1 now) with c6 Sara, Raiden's stats are 2.3k ATK/r3 Homa/66/147/54% Electro Damage/234 ER% - I like her in Hypercarry the best so far, with Kazuha on Fav, and Benny on Fav/Sac. Burst uptime is fine, I burst for 217k but I did wish I have better ER purely for more Electro damage. Ive tried it with The catch r5, more ER, less CD - tried it was lower CR, Electro goblet, more ER - it all bursts less. She's probably been the hardest for me to build, and that domain, god that domain. It will just take time I guess. I do feel like getting her sig might solve some issues with stats, but I have had SO many people say, "you cant use National unless you have this. You cant use Hypercarry unless you have this. Dont bother getting her weapon if unless you have this" - That's why I skipped her twice before deciding to pull for her finally this banner. I really do like her play-style, everything, especially if you have ER, seems quick-swap which I prefer. I'll just pray and keep farming and will go for her sig next time and then her c3. I uh...I would like to retract my statement. Just tried Raiden + Chev OL (Chev is lv.60, talents 7 on 4pc tenacity so no where near fully built) Raiden + Sara + Chev + Benny, I am now hitting 240-250k....I don't even wanna see those numbers when I get c2 (maybe c3 later?) as well as her weapon. Raiden is very satisfying and fun - it seems with Chev's release, a perfect time to pull.
