I just discovered you can save loops as hotcues with my DDJ-800. Mind-blowingly cool. Didn't know it could do that. Returning the 800 to get the 1000... those jogwheels........
Thanks! I was going to put it up as a paid course but with the state of the world at the moment I just wanted to do something to help so uploaded it for free instead 😊
Dirty Secretz That’s very kind of you. I had already decided that if I get locked down/in, I would devote a lot of time to improving my skills and knowledge on my nxs2 set up, rekordbox and finally have a stab at Ableton with your course. Loving your Cevin Fisher remix by the way 💥🧨
Can you set hotcues on controllers across different tracks to mix quickly like you can on CDJs or do you have to load up a song before any hotcues become available?
Hi. Good tutorial. One question: Do you know how to jump back 2,4 or 8 bars from one point of the track..? Of course you can do it looking the bar number where you are on playhead and doing the math but of course it take me time if you have to prepare 20 tracks. Serato has buttons for this (jump forward and backward any amount of bars you choice) but I can’t find it on the Rekordbox.
If you are using Rekordbox in export mode you'll find the beat jump buttons on the top left, just above the play and cue buttons. There you'll see left and right arrow buttons with a drop down underneath it. From this drop down you can choose the amount of beats to jump and then pressing the left or right button you can jump back and forward in time by that amount.
Rekordbox was originally designed as preparation for playing on Pioneer players which only have a maximum of 8 hot cues so there wouldn't be a need for more than this. I gotta ask though, how & why do you need 144 cue points in a track?
They are usually to the right of the loop in/out buttons. You'll see 'Cue/Loop' call and two arrow buttons. You can use the left and right arrow buttons to go between the memory points, along with using the delete and memory buttons to remove or add new ones.
It's hard to say as I can't see your screen but I'd imagine if you can't see them you're in the wrong view. From the bar at the very top choose the "1 Player" from the dropdown, that should hopefully bring you to where you need to.
Thanks for making this clear and easy! Shoutout from Los Angeles.

Very informative! Thanks for explaining this in an easy to understand way.
Just stumbled across your rekordbox tutorial’s, they are excellent. I actually found them more informative than a course I paid for !! Big thanks 🙏

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can colors be assigned to memory queues similar to hot queues?
I don't think so unless Pioneer have updated it recently

Dirty Secretz once you set a hot cue to a certain song. Will that cue stay there?
you can actually set a hot cue to start cue the track to that point without it automatically playing , like you can on normal memory cues 😉
Can you explain?
yeah how do you do that?
I've added text against saved memory cues..... How can I see this text on the CDJ? Or is that CDJ dependant?
It does work on some CDJs, I've seen it on the CDJ3000 but I think as there isn't much room on other players it's hard to show it.
@@DirtySecretz Thank you.
can i change Rekordbox to more than 10 cue points
i use 144 cue points and REMIX BY KEYBOARD

how do I get that menu? I can't find those options anywhere

@@DirtySecretz I don't have a 1player option, only 2 deck horizontal/ vertical and 4 deck horizontal/vertical
@@screensaves You're in performance mode. Change to Export mode by using the dropdown menu in the top left.
memory cues let you have rekordbox countdown bars or beats to the next cues. hot cues dont do this. strange and annoying but true.
