I see alot of you had trouble following her instructions. I made a few of these. I added alot more curly legs and I put stuffing inside the head. But here is pattern to follow 2 straight tentacles are just a chain...I would do anywhere between 30 and 60. Curly tentacles Chain 30 In very first v (stitch) put a single crochet (american)...continue putting a single crochet in each v (stitch). When you get to the end chain another 30, at the end of chain do same exact thing, put a single crochet in very first v (stitch) and continue putting single crochet in each v (stitch) until you get back to begining, chain another 30 and repeat same steps. This is where you tie off if you follow her pattern. I added more legs to equal a total of 6 curly. Head Magic ring, 6 single crochet 2single crochet in each of the 6 stitches making 12 2single crochet in first stitch then 1 single crochet in second stitch, repeat until end. You will have 18 1 single crochet in first 2 stitches, then 2 single crochet is the third stitch. Repeat until the end, you will have 24 2 single crochet in first stitch, 1 single crochet in next 3 stitches, repeat. You will have 30 1 single crochet in each stitch for the next 5 rows. Base The base is the same exact pattern as the first five rows for the head. Then thread together. I found a way to stitch but can't explain it, as I am beginner myself
Cassandra Eastman you are a doll! I call myself somewhat intelligent but for the life of me, this video confused me like all get out. Thank you for helping me out. Your help is surely much appreciated.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻. I think in the video she accidentally skipped a row - she went from “you’re supposed to have 18 stitches” to 30 after the next row.
I have to say that your video is PERFECT!! My 10 year old son just started crocheting and he wants to do these but he's afraid they are too difficult, but you are a fantastic teacher and he is totally fired up! Thank you for the awesome tutorial!
I made this jellyfish and I love it so much! I got confused at the base part so I free stitched and I made my own little spin-off version of the jellyfish. Thank you so much!!!
This was one of the greatest tutorials I've seen. I've been trying to get into crocheting and every tutorial I've watched, I don't understand. I mean, videos for just the basic stitches has confused me so much. This video is teaching me how to make something and I finally get it. I'm so excited to get started. Thank you so much!
Loved this. Love the way you describe everyththing. But please, please update the tutorial. I undid row 4 so many times. Wish I had read the comments first. 😀
I taught myself how to Crochet 2 days ago and the Jellyfish is my very first thing I chose to make I'm almost done with it.. Your video is great you made it so easy to follow and understand. Thank you... 🌻🌼🌻🌼🌻
This is adorable. I’ve made two, one for me and one for my adult daughter. I’m just starting to try arigurumi and it’s got me hooked. This little guy is so cute.
I wish we could post pictures! I've made two now, the second I added more tentacles and used a fluffy yarn and it's even cuter ☺ Thank you for the great tutorial 😘
A good tip: If you don't have a stitch marker you can use a scrap piece of warn. Just fold it in half, take your hook and pull it half way threw. Then you could take the tails and pull them threw the loop, so it wont go anywhere. And there you go! A homemade stitch marker!
143 people are wrong. ... this is a brilliant pattern to follow. my fist time making one of these and im a newbie. and was able to follow your instructions so well. thank you for a brilliant tutorial and for sharing your pattern.
I am Canadian, but know the difference between The measurements and I can clearly see exactly what you are doing. Great tutorial and explanation ~ thank you 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for making this video! I'm new to crocheting and I've been happy with my stitching so far. Only halfway through this vid but that means like halfway through a cute jellyfish! Thanks. I do wish that in the description, you would link to the other videos you're talking about (the slip knot and the magic ring).
I did this and it turned out great 😅!!! This was the first crochet with sewing that I have done by myself considering I am 10......I use the amigurumi for a plushie and decided mite as well give it a name 😜 I call it "Jelly " .........thanks for the tutorial 😊😊😊😊🐙🐙🐙🍮🍮🍮
umbrellasrock140 yes! I tried it on a different video I watched and couldn’t get it so I just stopped and moved on this one was so helpful I got it the first time I tried it!
Thank you for the video , very easy, and perfect gift for my daughter who loves jelly fish. I wish I knew how to place the picture of my project, but I don't know how.
Thank you so much! Your instructions and the visual made me actually be able to make something! I have had problems with the magic ring for so long, but now I've got it! I can actually tackle some of the lots I have been buying now! Thank you again!
I can't believe I made this and it actually came out so cute~ I'm new to crocheting and really enjoy trying to make toys~ thank you for posting this video!
It would have been helpful if you put the original pattern in the description so the owner can get credit and so we can read the information contained in the pattern
this is adorable!!!! I am working on an ocean themed baby set (blanket, booties, cap, & scratch mitts) for a friend....I am making one of these cute li'l jellyfish for her, too...she will love it!!!
double crochet (uk) = single crochet in (us) Use a bigger hook for your magic ring and go down half or a whole size, this will make it easier to make your increases (two double stiches in one stitch). Jellyfish Straight tentacle Chain 60 or 16? - fasten off Make 2 Curly tentacle Chain 30 Double crochet back Make 3 Head 1st - Magic Ring 6 double crochet into ring 2nd - 2 double crochet into one stitch Into all 6 stiches 12 stiches when done 3rd - 2 double crochet in one stitch Double crochet 2 double crochet in one stitch Go all the way around 18 stiches when done 4th - 1 double crochet into next 2 stiches 2 double crochet in one stitch 1 double crochet into next 2 stiches Go all the way around 24 stiches when done 5th - 2 double crochet in one stitch 1 double crochet into next 3 stiches 2 double crochet in one stitch Go all the way around 30 stiches when done 6-10 all rounds are the same so double crochet into 30 stitches Fasten off Base Repeat round 1 through 5 and fasten off Add eyes Attach tentacles to base and attach to the head, stuff and close off gap. And there you go. Cute jelly fish shame the tutorial is all over the place, took me over an hour to figure out why the numbers didn't add up. Anyway I hope this helps all those confused. I'll edit again 3rd or 4th time 😰 if I find more things.
god THANK YOU!! When she said you should have 18 stitches after step 4 I lost it, frogged the whole thing and started over because I couldn't figure out where I went wrong because I kept counting 24... turns out that was right all along thanks SO MUCH for writing it out
i understand that what people in the uk call a double stitch, people in the us call a single crochet, but what is a single crochet in the uk? by the way this tutorial is so clear and easy to follow. im going to send it to my friend to help him learn how to crochet =D
Please be sure to note that in the UK 🇬🇧 this is called a double crochet & in the USA 🇺🇸 it’s called a single crochet. Great tutorial, very easy to follow your instructions 💕
when you're making the squid head and doing the magic ring make another one, but just follow 1-5 with the second one and continue doing the work with the second one. I had to go all the way back to 11:02 to do the base after I finished the squid head. I'm still loving this tutorial. 💞😘
Congratulations, you win. I have now been driven insane by the bells and whistling. Off I go to paint myself blue and run around barking in the street. Are you happy now?
i made this! Super cute, but I used a different method. Pretty much just make a ball, flattened it out, added curly yarn and boom! Jellyfish! :) Cute tutorial tho!
Thank you for making it so simple. No decreasing stiches. I tried this for my 2nd amirugumi. I did it with smaller yarn, add few more rounds at the end to make the head bigger, and did stuffing. Totally easy to follow though there is confusing total stitch at your round 4 tutorial, which supposed to be 24 instead of 18.
The stitch you are doing for the curly tentacles is a single crochet as I've learned it. Is it possible the meaning is different in England than in the US?....a double is a yarn over then enter the stitch, pull through, yarn over again, pull through two stitches, yarn over again and pull through the last two stitches. A single crochet will create the curly affect.
just finished! it came out pretty bad because i messed up on the double stitching sequence on the cap. also, i didn’t have the proper needle for it so i had to hand thread some yarn through the holes to join the base and cap together :)) i also didn’t add eyes because- i don’t have any. overall took me 3 and a half hours 😭 this was my first time crocheting but i’m a bit proud of what i made. great tutorial! very detailed
my numbers aren't adding up. From the magic circle I get 6 stiches, then after double crocheting I should have 12. Then by increasing 1 and doule crocheting 1 I get 18. But if you then do 2 double crochets and an increase you get 24 stiches, not 18.
+PurpleKittyMsp178 wow I'm so glad I read this comment cos I thought I was going wrong every time and undone it bout 6 times because I was getting 24 not 18 lol xx
Such a great tutorial !!! I have been struggling to make a crotchet granny square for a week lol so thought I'd try something different and I found you ! I finished my Jellyfish today and now I'm on my second one for my daughter and the neighbours want one each 😉
Just seen this vid and thank u for explaining it in detail 😍 I finally made my first amigurumi shame I havnt got any eyes for it or stuffing but will get some soon 😂 🙈😘
my squid head is not looking like a bowl, its looking more flat with a wavy edge making it looking more like a flower, i followed the instructions correctly so i dont know why its not coming out propper
I like how you give the choice of magic ring or the special ring I did make this though it came out a little bigger because of a counting error but I love the way it fininshed
Hello, I just started crocheting and saw your video. I want to try to make this and was wondering what size eyes did you use? I see they come in a lot of different sizes.
i love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing! But i have to say... this music is so *bleepbleep* annoying... especially when you turn up the volume it makes my ears ring after a while. Nonetheless: awesome! 😊
yes I remembered the proper term after and got distracted and never corrected it I live in a small town that anything but the basic is hard to find so I tried a bobby pin and it worked awesomely and just thought to comment it here so others that may not know where to get stitch markers can just get bobby pins and I am making so many of them now lol everyone I know wants one thanks for the GREAT tutorial
no matter how many times I do round 4 I end up with 24 stitches. ugh.... I managed to make the flower from your other tutorial (total newb here). But this round 4 mystifies me. Are you skipping vs each time? Because to take 12 stitches in the row (little vs) and then to do 2 doubles in first, then 2 singles...it adds up to more than 18. Soooo confused.
I found I shorted myself once stitch each round, so after back-counting, I found I shorted the stitch in the second round (where you do 12, I always ended up with 11, so now I double check that and make sure it is 12 then it all works out. 6, 12, 18, 24, then 30 stitches for the stitch count on each of her rounds. :-)
I know what the confusion is! At the end of ROUND 4 she says to be sure to count 18 stitches....but she has 24. She goofed in her recording. I redid my rounds 1-4 at least 6 times before I stopped the video and counted her stitches on the video right before she starts round 5. OMG!! So frustrating....hope she changes that....for other beginners. So I was doing it right.....well I got lots of practice.
So I am almost finished with mine but I had to add more rounds to the little guys head. Like probably 5 more rounds... maybe it is the size of my yarn? I'm using a 3 and my hook is a 5. Probably a combo of both issues. Just curious because I am new
I am making two!! Both are for my new unborn cousins that will be born in June!!!!! I am also crocheting a blanket for one of them and my grandma is crocheting a blanket for the other one! One is a boy and one is a girl!
😂 I didn't realize that you meant SC in the USA, so I reached 30 St. Way sooner then expected! Luckily I thought to not panic and skip ahead in the video.
My biggest problem and deterrent from doing amigurumi is that I can't tell if I've already gone into one stitch so I end up skipping some or repeating one, ending with an increase. Do you have any advice for that? It's really frustrating because it really throws off the entire thing.
I'm hoping to make a larger jellyfish than this one but this seems to be the best tutorial for it that I've found. Does anyone know how I could make it larger but still kind of follow this pattern? I'm completely new at crocheting. Ehh, maybe I should stick with this pattern first before attempting to go bigger. I haven't even mastered the magic ring yet...
AllsortPassport I hope it's not too late to reply to this, but I would try just multiplying the amount of rows of each step by x amount, x being the size bigger you want yours than hers... so if you want it double size, for ex., you'd do this: Start the same (6 stitches round 1, 12 - round 2, 18 - round 3, 24 - round 4, 30, round 5) since these rows are all just increasing the diameter, you'd keep doing this for twice the amount of rows she did- so increasing until row 10 instead of row 5 like she did (in order to do a double-sized jellyfish, you would triple for 3x, etc) So, round 6 will end in 36, 7- 42, 8 - 48, 9 - 54, and finally row ten will end with 60 stitches. Now where she stopped growing her pattern at row 5, you've kept going until row 10 so it will be double the size. You'll also want to double the # of rows of stitches where you'll keep the same amount. So, rows 10-20 will all have 60 stitches. You'll also want to double the length, width, and # of tentacles. And of course also make sure to continue on doing rows for the base for double the amount that she does. Basically just start the same but every time she switches up techniques you'll keep going for 2x (or 3x, 4x, however big you want) until you switch to the next stitch/technique that she shows. I know this could be hard to follow, hopefully it makes some kind of sense!
Lilboh Beat Lilboh Beat It was too late : P Buuuut only because I already made it and did pretty much what you suggested! :D Great minds think alike :D It came out exactly the way I wanted it! Thank you for taking the time to reply though, I appreciated it :)
how many chain stitches do i do in the first step? i cant tell if shes saying 16 or 60, so i tried both, and they both looked weird, fyi i live in the US.
@TeaandcraftingUk thank you! I'm still a novice with amigurumi so I appreciate the info. I found that this tutorial was easy to follow, especially after figuring out that it was in UK terms instead of US. I look forward to making quite a few of these little jellyfish!
I see alot of you had trouble following her instructions. I made a few of these. I added alot more curly legs and I put stuffing inside the head. But here is pattern to follow
2 straight tentacles are just a chain...I would do anywhere between 30 and 60.
Curly tentacles
Chain 30
In very first v (stitch) put a single crochet (american)...continue putting a single crochet in each v (stitch).
Head
Magic ring, 6 single crochet
2single crochet in each of the 6 stitches making 12
2single crochet in first stitch then 1 single crochet in second stitch, repeat until end. You will have 18
1 single crochet in first 2 stitches, then 2 single crochet is the third stitch. Repeat until the end, you will have 24
2 single crochet in first stitch, 1 single crochet in next 3 stitches, repeat. You will have 30
1 single crochet in each stitch for the next 5 rows.
Base
The base is the same exact pattern as the first five rows for the head.
Then thread together. I found a way to stitch but can't explain it, as I am beginner myself
Cassandra Eastman thank you to the moon and back
Cassandra Eastman you are a doll! I call myself somewhat intelligent but for the life of me, this video confused me like all get out. Thank you for helping me out. Your help is surely much appreciated.
@@bertiehardison2689 Sorry this confused you - but pleased you got to make one
thanks! i wasn't confused by the video but wanted written instructions :)
Thank you so much 🙏🏻. I think in the video she accidentally skipped a row - she went from “you’re supposed to have 18 stitches” to 30 after the next row.
If you don't have a stitch marker, a paper clip works really good too!
Abby Kris as does a stray piece of yarn the opposite color of what you're working with :)
Abby Kris or a Bobby pin, that's what I use x
Abby Kris does a safety pin work?
Heather Newitt oooooooh! good idea!
Karly Cronce yess everything that stays on a stitch will wok :)
I have to say that your video is PERFECT!! My 10 year old son just started crocheting and he wants to do these but he's afraid they are too difficult, but you are a fantastic teacher and he is totally fired up! Thank you for the awesome tutorial!

Thank you... 🌻🌼🌻🌼🌻
Thanks! I made it in PINK with longer tentacles and it's selling like crazy in my Etsy shop! Wish I could upload a pic - it's SO cute!
Thank you. I am a beginner (just got my stuff today) and this looks much easier than I excepted.
Loved this tutorial! Just finished making one myself today. Looking forward to seeing more amigurumi tutorials, because you are an awesome teacher.
Yaaaaaaaay I made a jellyfish!! My first amigurumi!! Thank you!!

:3
Samantha Acachalla I use a Bobby pin😂
I use a little keychain with a clip on the end that I put on :3
Crickett Cartwright Bobby pins are perfect for me so far.
Safety pin!
This is such a great tutorial! Thank you - just finished my first amigurumi creature, this sweet little jellyfish!
Just FYI, in the USA when she says double crochet, it's a single crochet
JamSamJackx Thank you so much! I'm still just learning, so that was kinda confusing at first!
Thanks :-) thats correct
JamSamJackx thanks!
ikr I was just about to comment that
Thanks for helping me out on the replies. Yes that is correct these are UK terms can be kind of confusing.
Thanks. Thank you, just finished a jellyfish for my granddaughter.
Really helpful video, easy to follow. 😊👍
Like. Wow this is beautiful. I love sea world. Greetz from Holland.
Thank you for the tutorial. what size hook should I use? I didn't hear it mentioned. Thx
Ziba Khatibi 4 mm I think!
Best magic ring tutorial I've seen. Keep coming back for it. Starts at 10:59.
umbrellasrock140 yes! I tried it on a different video I watched and couldn’t get it so I just stopped and moved on this one was so helpful I got it the first time I tried it!
double crochet (for UK) = single crochet (for US)
Thank you for commenting this. I'm in the US and I was so confused as to why she said double crochet!
+Abby Kris no problem. happy to help! :)
Abby Kris
Thank you for the video , very easy, and perfect gift for my daughter who loves jelly fish. I wish I knew how to place the picture of my project, but I don't know how.

double crochet (uk) = single crochet in (us)
Use a bigger hook for your magic ring and go down half or a whole size, this will make it easier to make your increases (two double stiches in one stitch).
Jellyfish
Straight tentacle
Chain 60 or 16? - fasten off
Make 2
Curly tentacle
Chain 30
Double crochet back
Make 3
Head
1st - Magic Ring
6 double crochet into ring
2nd - 2 double crochet into one
stitch
Into all 6 stiches
12 stiches when done
3rd - 2 double crochet in one stitch
Double crochet
2 double crochet in one stitch
Go all the way around
18 stiches when done
4th - 1 double crochet into next 2
stiches
2 double crochet in one stitch
1 double crochet into next 2
stiches
Go all the way around
24 stiches when done
5th - 2 double crochet in one stitch
1 double crochet into next 3
stiches
2 double crochet in one
stitch
Go all the way around
30 stiches when done
6-10 all rounds are the same so
double crochet into 30
stitches
Fasten off
Base
Repeat round 1 through 5 and fasten off
Add eyes
Attach tentacles to base and attach to the head, stuff and close off gap.
And there you go.
Cute jelly fish shame the tutorial is all over the place, took me over an hour to figure out why the numbers didn't add up. Anyway I hope this helps all those confused.
I'll edit again 3rd or 4th time 😰 if I find more things.
For the tentacle its 60
Thanks for this! As a beginner and visual learner, not having written instructions on screen was driving me nuts 😅
god THANK YOU!!
This is so cute! Your instructions are simple and clear, I know I can handle this! Thanks!
I'm making it in purple for my son^^
Thanks a lot for sharing this tutorial:)
Loved this. I have just finished mine. Didnt hsve sny of the eye things so stitched some eyes on instead :)
how did you make the eyes? I'm trying to figure out if you can do it with black yarn since I don't have the plastic eyes either
Thank you for this super fun project! It was the perfect time filler in our 40+C temps this week!
i am about to try to make this for my daughter with pink and purple yarn...great tutorial and thanks for sharing
Changed it into a seal, now my friend is trying to get me to give it to her for christmas... :)
Again, great tutorial!
This tutorial is wonderful I love it and thanks for sharing
I'm happy if you sell them made up - sorry this reply is 1 year later. But please do go ahead and thanks for asking and yes it is copyrighted.
Can you please make a video about how to make a typical amigurumi head? I really love your tutorials, you're so clear about what to do.
I was just wondering myself.Thinking she didnt know the difference between single and double.
In UK terms a dc is what US would call a sc. same goes for their treble being our double and many other stiches are different.
I agree
just finished! it came out pretty bad because i messed up on the double stitching sequence on the cap. also, i didn’t have the proper needle for it so i had to hand thread some yarn through the holes to join the base and cap together :)) i also didn’t add eyes because- i don’t have any. overall took me 3 and a half hours 😭 this was my first time crocheting but i’m a bit proud of what i made. great tutorial! very detailed
This is my first thingggggg I just finished took me 2 daysssssss thank you sooooo muchhhh I’ll post a pic later
my numbers aren't adding up. From the magic circle I get 6 stiches, then after double crocheting I should have 12. Then by increasing 1 and doule crocheting 1 I get 18. But if you then do 2 double crochets and an increase you get 24 stiches, not 18.
+Seagazer81892 yeah, i thought i was wrong too but it's an error, youre fine
+PurpleKittyMsp178 wow I'm so glad I read this comment cos I thought I was going wrong every time and undone it bout 6 times because I was getting 24 not 18 lol xx
Don't worry, your supposed to get 24!
Seagazer81892 I am having the exact same problem.
I love your accent! and you speak so clearly, it really helps for a beginner like me :)
Such a great tutorial !!! I have been struggling to make a crotchet granny square for a week lol so thought I'd try something different and I found you ! I finished my Jellyfish today and now I'm on my second one for my daughter and the neighbours want one each 😉
ive never crocheted before and im REALLY confused
@Benson Frederick does it work???
i cant tell if shes saying 60 or 16 chain stitches haha
Perhaps that's why my tentacles are too long haha I split them in half as I attached them so it looks great. Thanks for the tutorial! :)
Totally did 60 lol 😜
I thought it was 60 also lol
I did 60 too! I thought it looked weird....
I can't tell either
Just seen this vid and thank u for explaining it in detail 😍 I finally made my first amigurumi shame I havnt got any eyes for it or stuffing but will get some soon 😂 🙈😘
Pleasure so pleased you enjoyed it and my tutorial was easy to follow! Enjoy crochet amigurumi
A friend of mine send me the link to it as she does alot of amigurumi at home 😍 keep up the good work x
my squid head is not looking like a bowl, its looking more flat with a wavy edge making it looking more like a flower, i followed the instructions correctly so i dont know why its not coming out propper
So cute excellent teacher Thanks so much

OMG! tysm it’s my first toy I made!
I love this! Thank you! I made two for my kids!
Yea this is my like 3rd time redoing this, please do something to fix the stitch count after step 4! very frustrating.
I Have also noticed if you guys dont have those little clips to mark your stitch Bobby pins work GREAT as well
yes I remembered the proper term after and got distracted and never corrected it I live in a small town that anything but the basic is hard to find so I tried a bobby pin and it worked awesomely and just thought to comment it here so others that may not know where to get stitch markers can just get bobby pins and I am making so many of them now lol everyone I know wants one thanks for the GREAT tutorial
+Tea & Crafting Craft Workshops, Hen Parties & Events do the tentacles curl themselves?
***** thanks a bunch, I'm surprised at how quickly you replied.Thanx!
I've found paperclips work well too
I like it so much 😻😻
Abla Dana Thank you so much ❤️
I was able to do my first magic ring! Thanks
no matter how many times I do round 4 I end up with 24 stitches.
I'm having the same problem
at the end of round 4 you should have 24 stitches.
That's what I keep getting! ! How does she get 30?!
So I am almost finished with mine but I had to add more rounds to the little guys head. Like probably 5 more rounds... maybe it is the size of my yarn? I'm using a 3 and my hook is a 5. Probably a combo of both issues. Just curious because I am new
What kind of yarn are you using? My yarn is making me angry lol
I used acrylic DK. Are you in the UK or US? UK brand I love is Paintbox Yarns
@@janegois421 how about for USA what yarn do I get? And what size hook?
I am making two!! Both are for my new unborn cousins that will be born in June!!!!! I am also crocheting a blanket for one of them and my grandma is crocheting a blanket for the other one! One is a boy and one is a girl!
😂 I didn't realize that you meant SC in the USA, so I reached 30 St. Way sooner then expected! Luckily I thought to not panic and skip ahead in the video.
❤️This is amazing I just simply love it❤️
That does not look like 60 chains. I am counting on the video no more than 30, although the video is blurry.
as110 that’s what I thought 🤔🤔
same
It is two rows of 30 stitches which is 60 total... she did no include that.
It is because in UK a double crochet is a US single crochet :)
a very good video thank you
Hi, I Love. your crochet Chanel,But your music is so loud.it gets into our ears.
I know I've had lots of comments about the music... I can't do anything about it now as I have lost the original file!!
Kay G are u not used to music getting into you ears?
Yes. I have an aversion to whistling too so this was hard to listen to.
is the magic ring the same thing as the magic circle?
Yeah it is
It is so hard
can you still get the hand out/ instructions? or does someone have the handout/ instructions they can give me?
You are a great teacher though, btw
What hook size are you using
I'm not sure in the uk, but where I live, it is called a single crochet. Maybe you could put it in the comment section
My biggest problem and deterrent from doing amigurumi is that I can't tell if I've already gone into one stitch so I end up skipping some or repeating one, ending with an increase. Do you have any advice for that? It's really frustrating because it really throws off the entire thing.
Lovely
what type of yarn is she recommending you to use...and what size hook
What size crochet hook are you using?
K.J. C. 4 mm, I think!
AllsortPassport I hope it's not too late to reply to this, but I would try just multiplying the amount of rows of each step by x amount, x being the size bigger you want yours than hers... so if you want it double size, for ex., you'd do this:
Start the same (6 stitches round 1, 12 - round 2, 18 - round 3, 24 - round 4, 30, round 5) since these rows are all just increasing the diameter, you'd keep doing this for twice the amount of rows she did- so increasing until row 10 instead of row 5 like she did (in order to do a double-sized jellyfish, you would triple for 3x, etc)
So, round 6 will end in 36, 7- 42, 8 - 48, 9 - 54, and finally row ten will end with 60 stitches.
Lilboh Beat Lilboh Beat
It was too late : P
Buuuut only because I already made it and did pretty much what you suggested! :D Great minds think alike :D
It came out exactly the way I wanted it! Thank you for taking the time to reply though, I appreciated it :)
What size crochet hook is best to use?
i will be doing this tomorrow 😭😂
It was very nice. I am making very beautiful knitting models, crochet , the latest Turkish needlework models.👍👍👍
how ao I get the jellyfish pattern?
thank you soo much this is so easy :)
how many chain stitches do i do in the first step? i cant tell if shes saying 16 or 60, so i tried both, and they both looked weird, fyi i live in the US.
what size hook?
4mm :-) happy crocheting
Thanx this is fun!!!!☀️
What size hook did you use?
Is there a written pattern to go along with this?
What size hook do you recommend using?
4mm crochet hook is ideal for amigurumi but if you want me to make a large octopus you can use chunky bulky yarn and go up to 6-8mm 😊
@TeaandcraftingUk thank you! I'm still a novice with amigurumi so I appreciate the info. I found that this tutorial was easy to follow, especially after figuring out that it was in UK terms instead of US. I look forward to making quite a few of these little jellyfish!
How long does it take you to make one once you really get the hang of it?
I cant seem to make it shape like a head it stays flat ! what am I doing wrong?
Anna chavez same here! I was trying to find out how to make the shape :(
What I did is I added more than five of the rows made to make it 3-D. It worked well for me
