    I love this octopus pattern, and it stands out because each tentacle can look unique! However, it would be helpful, especially in your written pattern if you use the term "increase." Otherwise it's difficult to tell when I'm supposed to crochet one in each stitch, or multiples in the same stitch, unless I am following your video constantly. This was tricky when I tried to make different arms when using the written pattern. Otherwise, I absolutely loved the tutorial! Thank you.

      At the beginning of the pattern it is explained how to read the pattern so you won’t have this confusion.

      Yeah you're right it was confusing I watched the video that was fine. But trying to read the pattern that was confusing. I just gave up.

    really loved how my (second) octopus turned out! great pattern!
    BUT... as a beginner, it was SOOO difficult to follow along, I had to pause and rewind at almost every single stitch until I could sort of remember how to do each one...taking a little extra time to carefully show how you do the stitch would be so helpful and appreciated!
    Thank you for the cute little octopus!

    Thanks so much! Great pattern. One suggestion. I would find it very helpful if, after each round, you would say how many stitches there should now be. I had to stop each time and do the math.

    great video!! My only real feedback is that you might want to let people know about attaching the eyes before the body is stuffed and sewn. I was under the impression the eyes were attached in a different manner than just using safety eyes and now i dont really know what to do for eyes :(

    Sorry if I missed this - the arms on original and the after of second one looks like they were attached all the way across. When I saw them being attached there was a hole between beginning and end of attached area?? Can someone please tell me if I’m just seeing things? Or should I go over those areas to close? Thank you!

    This is such a cute pattern but i have to agree with someone else
    That posted here . I have been crocheting for 40 plus years and even I'm finding your written pattern hard to follow .. it's confusing
    Also here in the video round 6 (30sts) then you say repeat 5 more times which would bring us to round 11 but you come back at round 12 .. written pattern says rows 6-12 (30sts) around that's 7 rounds but in the video you say after row 6 repeat 5 more times ??? Which is correct this video or the written pattern

    What a cutie 😁 I was wondering how much yarn did you use for one octopus? If you used one ''piece'' of yarn , how much meters did you had in it ? I'm planning to do it with a fluffy yarn so it's not the same length and size you know

    • @CrobyPatterns
      @CrobyPatterns  3 года назад +1

      Hi Daria! Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how much, but I am pretty sure it was not more than 1 skein of cotton yarn. And in one skein of yarn I was using is around 115 m of yarn. Hope this helps! Happy crocheting! 😊

    The only thing that's missing is when to put the eyes on?

    • @CrobyPatterns
      @CrobyPatterns  3 года назад

      Mine are very basic ones. I had to glue them on the octopus. I recommend using the ones that have a safety part and you have to attach them through the fabric. Especially if they will be around the kids. But if you do that, stop a few rows before closing the body, attach the eyes, stuff the filling, and then finished the body and close the opening. 😊

    Have you ever done it with safety eyes yourself? I don't see how it's possible to use safety eyes.

    • @CrobyPatterns
      @CrobyPatterns  2 года назад

      HI! No, unfortunately I haven't. However, I would recommend safety eyes, especially if the toy is meant for kinds. Those googly eyes are great for amigurumies that you want to keep as a decoration on the self. For everything else, I recommend safety eyes. I remember I did not have them at the time, otherwise I would definitely use them. 😃 Happy crocheting! 🤗

    • @gracelynn8623
      @gracelynn8623 2 года назад

      @@CrobyPatterns I managed to find a way to use them, but they worked better on row 16 versus row 17 (which I believe was suggested, but I may have misunderstood). When I put them onto row 17, I was later on unable to crochet on the row using the front loops on the outside.
      I may have completely misunderstood the pattern, though, so please correct me if I am.
