Elvis wax dummy melted with a soft hiss😅😅😅😂😂
Elvis fought Bubba Hotep with Black JFK.
He saved our lives.
He died a hero.
Whoever edited this is annoying, showing all these videos of random people with popular names that you could have easily have gotten pictures of
"Elvis is not dead, he just went home."-Agent K. from Men in Black
That's my favourite one tbh
This is the first place my mind went. You beat me to it.
I could be Agent M.
LITERALLY THE FIRST THOUGHT I HAD!
Oh ya, I remember that documentary! It was a wild fact to slip into a film about the immigration crisis.
I’d just like to thank Elvis Presley for the invaluable help and support he provided whilst I was researching this script.
Also, the Fools Gold Loaf was exquisite.
It’s so nice that he was willing to share his experiences since his untimely demise
Danny, you always kill these scripts. Keep it up, I honestly wish I could report on the things you do as well as you do it. You deserve massive props.
No more Kebabs for Danny, only Fools Gold Loaf now ☝🏼
So just so we're clear, Paul McCartney's long been deceased & Elvis is still alive. Thanks for the facts Danny!
@@droomzyNow you get it!
I like how Simon went from fantasizing about getting paid millions a day to read stories in Vegas to dreaming about setting up a corpse bonfire in his backyard for a hundred quid.
Well he already has the wealth from his imaginary residency, he should be giving back to us paupers 🤣
He is simultaneously optimistic and unhinged, the perfect combination for both Vagas, AND running a crematory.
I always figured elvis was in the Barney suit.
1. Could sing
2. Hid fat elvis
3. Danced great for such a big costume.
Probably less weird than the reality, which is that Barney's suit actor is now a high ranking member of a sex cult as a 'sexual healer'.

My mom told me there was no way Elvis faked his death simply because he wouldn't leave his daughter like that
I like the sound of that story.
He didn't really seem to care for women though, did he?
@@taylorbug9bull crap he absolutely loved women. Don't believe the crap that you see on RUclips or on the internet. He enjoyed women's company he adored his mother and he was a perfect gentleman to women. Every woman who had an affair with him or relationship always said they always loved him. I don't know where you got that crap from but probably from some Source like this idiot with this video
I agree with your mom
Garth Brooks was insanely popular in the 90s (mostly high energy party/rock type country with a few ballads sprinkled in and wildly successful arena shows) but he refuses to put his music on Spotify so a lot of younger people have never heard of him. He’s very entertaining if you’re into that. Come to think of it I wonder if his hold out on Spotify boosted his album sales.. 🤔
Who cares about Garth Brooks?
I care about Garth Brooks.
Also, his music was amazingly popular outside the “country” genre.
Not on Spotify? Good for him. That grift is ripping off artists.
@@australien6611 I was just explaining who he is for people who don’t know. Why are you even taking the time to leave unnecessary comments? 🙄 Are you just one of those people who likes to listen to yourself talk?
@@Dragon_5th-Regeneration Yeah that’s why he sold so well. Even people who didn’t generally listen to country music bought his albums.
My father once talked to Elvis briefly through the gate at Graceland in 1972. Elvis’s uncle allowed him and my grandparents to tour the property, but Elvis returned home unexpectedly. While they were leaving, Elvis came down on a horse and apologized that they had to leave early.
Almost all Memphians have a story about Elvis from that time. My sister and I used to bike to his house because pur neighborhood was nearby. You could watch him ride horses. The gardner/gare keeper was really cool and friendly. My mom got to meet Elvis once but became so tongue-tied he moved on. 😂
@@Seamonkey555 My family traveled to Graceland from Kentucky because that’s where my father wanted to go for vacation. He took many of photos of the house, but ran out of film when Elvis showed up.

If Simon was ever at Las Vegas, i would definitely go. Can you imagine watching Simon doing this live and being able to hear his tangents in person. Heck yes!

Just so you guys in the UK are aware, funerals in the US generally happen within a week, usually 3-5 days.
Thank you, my late wife was three weeks after she passed but that was slightly delayed because she left her brain to medical science.
Hello, funeral director and coroner here. It totally depends on where you live in America and the manner in which you die. If you are in California it can take at least a week but probably longer. It all comes down to how fast the funeral home can get a permit to bury or cremate the remains. Some places have lots of red tape and they are backed up. There are exceptions that will expedite or slow down the process.
@@thespook1482 that's makes sense. I live in the south but I'm in a city. Funerals here happen pretty quickly and there's not much red tape at all.
What’s the average time frame for in the UK?
@@_emilyit's generally the same amount of time, it can take longer, but assuming there's no outstanding issues a week is a typical time
The best version of the "Elvis is still alive" idea was the movie, Bubba Ho-Tep.
That movie was an underrated masterpiece 😆
Love that movie!
Yes!!! I was hoping to see someone bring this movie uo in the comments.
"Hail to the King, baby!"

My Halloween tradition and favorite mummy movie.
I love how Simon put "Cold Play" in the same sentence/league as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson etc. lololol
Ugh I go to UCL and I hear it mention time and time that Coldplay are alumni and formed the group here, sure but idc because they suck. Must be a British thing to care about Coldplay.
I laughed at that, too, but I think he was making the point that they’re an extremely popular band that has been around and sold a lot and yet they weren’t even in the top three. And he was just shocked that an unknown (😂) like Garth Brooks was higher on the list. As a middle aged Appalachian, I was dying laughing that he had never heard of Brooks.
The guys a clown! He hasn't even heard of Garth Brooks and Coldplay are mostly liked by only upper class students in England. And I don't get why he thinks it's so funny he died going to the toilet? Does he think people plan it and that it's unusual?
'Simons discount crematorium.....just a bonfire where you throw your loved ones on'. That properly made me laugh, just the mental image of chucking a corpse on, dusting yourself down then......'Right, job done, let's go to the pub! 😂😂
Everyone knows Elvis got into some horrible eating/drinking habbits, it's a no-brainer that his body failed him. But people want to believe fairytales to help cope with reality
The barbiturates where pretty disastrous for his body too, it is a shame, man had such talent. In his last Concert where he sings "are you lonesome tonight" he was slurring words and was forgetting sentences of the song text, just sad to see.
My all-time favorite meme is a pic of Elvis in a limousine. It says "I'd give anything to be this fucked up." Man wasn't even in this galaxy.
Plus, one of his so-called bodyguards who used to bring him his morning/lunch/dinner and bedtime drugs told how bad he was near the end. It's so sad and yet so common😢
people believing fairytales to help cope with reality is a huge problem these days
Actually, everyone doesn't know that. Elvis wasn't a drinker. Read some shit, before you write some shit!

Dr. George Nichopoulos was the inspiration of Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpsons.

1:12:07 Simon being unaware that some of us are ONLY here for the tangents 😂😂
Garth used to live in Owasso, Oklahoma. After a couple of years of the city asking Garth to bail the city out. He sold his property and moved to Nashville,Tennessee.
In the early 00s, I used to also live in the Owasso area, I worked at a grocery store and meet him once as he was getting groceries. He was a polite dude and I don’t doubt that city harassed him.
@@RozyShaman
Yes, he frequently went to Reasor's in Owasso.
Sometimes he would even pay for other people's groceries. He would walk over to a ladies car and open the door for her. He has that old country boy charm.
I grew up near a lady who LOVED Elvis. To the point she had her husband build a miniature Graceland in her front yard. Back in the 80's and 90's it was a pretty big local tourist attraction. From seeing it on Google Maps it seems like it hasn't been maintained.
If this video doesn't include the line "Elvis is not dead, he just went home" I will be severely disappointed.
Joke's on you, Fact Boi probably hasn't seen Men In Black.
@DayneGodwin it wouldn't be the first time one of the writers put in a pop culture reference to confuse him.
Why are you making comment before watching the video?
@@Chris-hx3om ... Because they're making a prediction?
We're all disappointed.
I see Simon as the type of fella to have some friends in low places. Not a country fan at all but even I know that one. And the thunder rolling one too
My mother dated his friend Red when she was in high school. Elvis was a senior and she was a freshman. I think she even went over to his house once. She was the youngest of eight children and grew up on a share cropping farm in Attila Mississippi. They then moved to Memphis. Elvis came from Mississippi too. She said he won the talent show in high school.
Your mom dated Red West? That's an interesting connection.
My mother is 86 and I know she lived in Memphis because she met my father in Memphis and I have loads of relatives in Mississippi so it lines up. She has told us that Elvis mother was very nice.
I always stop my day for a Danny episode
Back in 1999 I worked at a bar in Sheffield and there was a dude who lived Crookes who dressed like fat-jumpsuit Elvis EVERY DAY! He once came into my quite massive bar (The Cavendish if you were wondering) and ordered a half of "Stoneses" which was at the time £1.60 (Students don't care how much beer is 😂). "Elvis" then made a big fuss about the price refused to pay, left the half and angrily stormed out. Luckily I had a microphone to hand and did the classic "Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building!"
I'll never be that funny again. 😂
I'm almost 52, Simon. I've lived longer than Elvis, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Bruce Lee, and far too many others known only to their loved ones who were born in the 20th century. What makes me feel old is the knowledge that in about two and a half years I will have lived for two thirds of the time that has passed since the end of the Second World War... which seemed so long ago when I was in high school.
Howdy. Dave from Kalamazoo here. Sadly, no Elvises hanging around while I was growing up. Must have just missed him :p
As far as the eye thing goes, if twins have different color eyes they ARE NOT IDENTICAL.😂
I was thinking the same thing.
I kept waiting for Danny to point that out! Identical twins are *literally* identical down to the DNA, so it would be impossible for them to have different eye colors 😆
@@maironamakesstuffAwesome avatar.
@@maironamakesstuff I waited until after that section was completed before commenting because I was SURE Danny was going to point that out.
Simon must not have let him out of the basement enough to keep him sharp.😁

I've no excuse as I very recently wrote a Decoding The Unknown on twins.
He ate a specific fried sandwich with peanut butter and banana on a double thick bread called Texas toast. By fried it was given an egg wash like French toast and then fried on a flat top. There is an episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern where he goes to the exact restaurant and sits in Elvis booth and has the famous sandwich. I have to admit I like to make them and they are absolutely amazing!!!
They really are delicious!
Doesn't sound too bad actually
@@Bummerdrummer463 I recommend making French toast and then putting some crunchy peanut butter and sliced banana instead of the frying with it pre-assembled, them you get the benefit of having nice French toast too and not just the outside. Garth's biggest hits crossed over into the pop charts. Especially his hit "Friends in low places". This explains how his music reached so many people and he has so much success.
The backing track work is amazing in this video.
Oldie RocknRoll really lends itself to Simons tangents and small brain moments
Simon reminds me of my mates. He has the same sense of humour so much of his childhood stories are also very similar to me and my mates. He could easily fit in with people over here in Australia.
1:17:28 the common theory is that the French cut off these two fingers when they captured English bowmen (so they can’t pull the string properly anymore, probably around the time of the Hundred Years‘ War ) and showing the V sign this way was meant as an provocation/ or offensive gesture that Englishman showed the French, like: you see this? I still got mine.
Years ago i bought a little cabin in the middle of juniper trees where elk and wildlife would walk through my yard. It was my heaven... then I met the closest neighbor I had that was about a football field away. After some time and small talk on occasion if we ran into each other at the mail boxes he ask if I would like to see his Elvis collection. I said sure as I could tell he was quit proud of it. He was in his late 50's, lived alone and seemed a bit lonely. I went to his place and tried not to show my shock the second I walked into the house. It wasn't a collection. His house was COVERED with Elvis stuff. Picture's everywhere. Cups and dishes emblazoned with Elvis. There was also a 2 picture frame with Elvis and his own picture in it. His bathroom had a huge garden tub with a huge tv on a shelf above the tub...stacks of vhs Elvis movies next to vhs player on a shelf. He started talking about feeling as though he was somehow connected to Elvis and that maybe he was Elvis twin reincarnated.... he then showed me his blue mustang that had, "don't be cruel" on his license plate frame. The whole time Elvis was playing on his stereo..At that point I made an excuse to leave, go home and lock my doors. 😂 he later got busted as he was growing large amounts of weed plants on his property. At that time growing weed was a huge no, no. Shortly after I moved. He probably wasn't dangerous but I was weirded out with the guy. And yes, he thought Elvis was still alive. 😂
Dr. Nick from the Simpsons was based on Elvis Presley's Dr. 😅 I love that Simon almost put it together.
Dannys slightly subtle humor today was top notch. He’s good but today he was great!
All the writers are fantastic, but Danny is my favorite, by far. "Maurits Cornelis Escher getting into hiphop and changing his name to MC Escher" makes me laugh on even my darkest days.
Him not knowing Garth Brooks must be like how I don't know soccer players.
Yes, you can still visit Graceland. The husband and I were there last weekend. Thousands of people visit Graceland every year. The Guest House at Graceland Hotel is gorgeous!
Just to clarify: the first stop on the tour he was meant to embark on had he not died was Portland, MAINE, just in case you're wondering which Portland Danny was referring to.
The upstairs bathroom is the one part of Graceland that is strictly off limits to those taking the tour, BTW.
I think there is also part of the upstairs off limits where Lisa Marie used to stay when she went there.

It would be best here or on Cas Crim, but I'm dying for the writers in the basement to dive into this case that's stumped law enforcement across 5 countries for more than a decade 🧐
I once worked in a cemetery, and I can tell you that after so many years, there would not be any remains to move to a new burial site.

an underrated part of this is when simon says beauty "regime" instead of "routine" in the ad
As I'm listening to Simon learn about Garth Brooks, I'm driving less than five minutes from where he lived in college. My dad saw him at a local dive bar once. Rest assured most of us here in Stillwater, OK don't realize how prolific he is.

Two fingers originated from around 1415. It was used by British/English archers and long bowmen as a victory sign now known as the V-Sign. The French also used to remove the two fingers an archer needed to draw their bow out of sheer fear of the English archers and bow men, a sign of disrespect to the ones who still had their fingers. I remember learning about this a very long time ago. But yes that is the basic meaning to where it originated before it became a slang offense symbol.
Unfortunately it's unlikely to be true, an English long bow is approx 100 to 160lb draw weight, and even a trained archer would be unable to draw a bow of that weight on only two fingers, especially doing so repeatedly
The French would have either cut off the entire hand of an archer, or more likely just execute them if captured, and indeed there is no contemporary written evidence of the French cutting off an archers fingers
It makes a good story, but it's just that, a story, the origins of the two finger salute are probably far less glamorous, and a theory I vaguely recall hearing, although again it could also be incorrect, is that it's supposed to resemble a woman's lady garden, and is the visual equivalent of calling someone a c**t 😂
In America, its a sign of peace

I always thought that Elvis died from a sudden aneurism.
Straining for a long amount of time especially if you're chronically constipated can cause stress on organs and result in blood rushing to the head too quickly, and if there's a clot somewhere like in your leg or something it can travel to your brain, which results in aneurism. 🤔
I'm going to look completely stupid now when someone tells me that's not how aneurisms happen 😅
I never looked into his death I just remember this topic being discussed and that version of his death being told.
Lol I'm so dumb, Simon mentioned the dr. Prescribing drugs to the king and for a moment I forgot people call Elvis that, and I was like "oh wow he also worked for some sort of king, impressive"
As Simon said, Elvis was the king of "Roll and Rock".
Simon casually dropping that he was an extra in a Captain America movie is crazy😂 Was it the first movie? lol I’m so invested now

He deserves the utmost respect because without this man he's young ignorant kids wouldn't be listening to the crap they're listening to today
A few of the videos as of late have had the background music just a bit too high. There were points which the music peaked at the same level as Simon’s voice and it can be distracting.

No, Simon, the UK didnt have Legoland first. Nor did the US. The first and original Legoland is placed across from the airport in Billund, Denmark. Coz thats where the Lego Company is based!
My dad, a retired physician, used to say a suprising number of cardiac and stroke deaths happen in the bathroom. When I was a college student, one of my dorm mates was found dead on the toilet. It was a massive cardiac incident (he was older, and no, he wasn´t in a compromising position, had just sat on the lid when he apparently felt weak, and died). Slips and falls there closely follow.
I'm laughing every time the guitar riff kicks in for Simon's commentary. Great job!
Well, this is about Elvis, but now all I want to do is binge some Garth
Knew a guy in high school that was obsessed with Elvis and looked vaguely like him. My friend went to prom with him. He regularly did his hair like elvis, wore an elvis belt buckle under his cummerbund to the prom and other stuff i can't remember. Maybe he really was Elvis... de-aged to a teenager in the late 2000s.
I don't care for most country music, but Garth Brooks is a fantastic artist. Thunder rolls is just sooo good.

Also, medical occurences with health, drugs (legal or otherwise), and age also.

Ok, that’s just creepy. It’s going to be a while before I can take a deep breath. Gross
Thanks Danny. Chef's kiss! Love all the song titles too. Most artists wouldn't have enough so well known to last half an hour
Danny's gag about Simon being worshipped in life and in death like Elvis actually had me thinking for a moment about how I would feel about Simon dying. I was surprised when I realized just how heartbroken I would feel.
Not because I worship him mind you. He's not some moral champion or godly icon. He's just another man, making his way through life. The strange thing about RUclips though, is how it makes strangers across the world seem like friends.
And that effect is particularly potent with Simon I think because of his unscripted channels like this one. I always loved Today I Found Out, Biographics and his (many many many) other channels, but there was always that professional barrier of his fact boi persona.
When Brain Blaze (It was called Business Blaze at the time) came along though, that mask dropped and we got to see the human behind it. Little by little in waffling tangents we learned about his life. We heard about his wife and kids and how much he loves them. He talks about them all the time, and we especially see it in channels like Casual Criminalist any time children are harmed during a story. He's heartbroken every time because he's imagining those are his own kids.
So I think, when he passes away, I will genuinely feel like a friend died. I wasn't really expecting to feel that today. Grim tangent I know. Here's hoping for a long and healthy life mate. Long live fact boi!
There was a wonderful documentary on this topic called Bubba Ho Tep.

I still remember the news on the news channel talking about Elvis' death. My biological mother was crying so hard.
My mom too.
One of my best friends is a licensed mortician here in the states. Tennessee, actually. Idk how they did it back then, but these days, bodies are kept under refrigeration. So if he was embalmed and kept cold, and then brought outside in the heat, it could have been condensation.

Because I haven't seen it in the comments, the Legoland that Simon is probably referring to opened in 1996 in Windsor. The first legoland was built in Denmark in 1968.
I actually have a secret I've been keeping for years. Back in college, I attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo for a semester. This was 2000 or 2001, so it's been years, mind - but one of my professors was Elvis. He was teaching chemistry - only instead of a lab coat, he wore his trademark jumpsuit. He never told us yes, just 'uh huh,' while shaking his hips.
It's been too long. I'm glad to get that off my chest.

The regional town of Parkes in New South Wales, Australia, now has the largest Elvis festival outside of Memphis. Each January thousands of Elvis fans (this year there were approx. 25,000 people) rock up to enjoy the fun.
Parkes is also famous for its radio telescope, which actually helped recieve and transmit Neil Armstrongs first transmissions from the first moon landing. It's featured in a movie titled The Dish. The movie isn't really all true (who'd of thunk it) but its part in the first moon landing did happen.
Went on a random trip to canada with a friend years ago (8 hours away, easy trip for the weekend) and we ended up seeing an Elvis impersonation contest. It was unexpected and hilarious, walking around town was amusing.
Simon is such a an enigma to me. The guy straddles the line between being intelligent sounding and not being able to recall the most basic info 😂
The eye color thing... blue eyes aren't blue because of pigment, they are blue due to the way light scatters through the iris, so it is entirely likely they will change color over time as the iris changes and ambient light. I'm not sure about green.
For most people, eye color will not change significantly past infancy. Eyes might seem different under different lighting, but the actual colour does not change.
There's two ways that eyes can appear green: either there's more melanin than in blue eyes but less than with brown eyes (the lower amount of melanin is what causes the light scattering), or you have the same amount of melanin in your iris as someone with blue eyes and you have a gene that causes yellow streaks to appear in the iris (I don't remember what makes the yellow. I know gray in the eyes are due to collagen, but it's like 1am and I'm not going to try and look for the info).
I have "grayzel" aka blue-green-gray hazel eyes. My eyes are actually blue, but I have a lot of both yellow and gray streaks in my eyes, so depending on lighting and what I'm wearing, my eyes can look anywhere from dark green to teal to gray. (In my case, I got the take gene from my dad, who has amber eyes, which are actually brown but with a layer of yellow in top, and I got the gray from my mom, who's eyes look very gray but are actually just blue with a lot of collagen. Funnily enough, my sister got the no-gray gene from our dad and the no-yellow gene from our mom, as well as the main brown color gene from our dad, so she just has dark brown eyes.)
I love being referred to as 'dear audience' Puts a smile on my face every time. Simon, never change!

Imagine Elvis on twitter
He wouldn’t be too controversial, when he was asked about his opinion on the Vietnam war he stated he is an entertainer and nothing more, and has no business commenting on public topics.
“Elvis has blue eyes and his identical twin has brown eyes.” So he doesn’t have an identical twin then.
Also, furious at Jenn for not finding Simon’s debut role and putting in a clip
As for me, I think my very favorite content between the triumphant has been this podcast series. I love the casual conversation between you three guys. You so much for spending your time to make this
Simon just said Michael Jackson and Coldplay in the same sentence like they are even in the same stratosphere
No,
Sorted.
So I grew up in Lake George which is a tourist town in upstate New York. Every year there was an Elvis festival. It was WILD seeing the town transform into like 40% Elvis for a weekend and then go back to normal right after.
My mom used to be a Lucille Ball impersonator and occasionally she would need to get something from a store in full Lucy Ricardo gear and someone would ask her if anyone has ever told her she looks like Lucy. To which my mom would act surprised and say "no, never."
“…we’re gonna solve a mystery… for children!” THAT DID ME IN 😆 Keep it up guys this was awesome.
You need to do a video on Garth brooks being a serial killer it’s a popular and interesting theory
(7:40) "And, for reasons I can't even fathom to begin". 😊
".....begin to fathom", I believe you mean? This made me laugh because I mix things like that up myself. Also - thank you, Simon, for all the years and many channels of knowledge curiosity! I appreciate you buddy.
REQUEST for a Decoding the Unknown about the GARTH BROOKS murder conspiracy!!
Two finger salute: Stretched index and middle finger with palm facing up. You then move your hand up and blow a raspberry. It basically means "Up Yours!" 😆
