Most people in Hollywood are scumbags. There are only a few good people in that industry. If he can't get work because of his attitude, and doesn't care to change, how can anyone be mad at that? He isn't Fletch. He isn't Chevy from Weekend Update. He's a mad old man who seems to not enjoy people. Enough said. To keep burying a man because he is an asshole is ridiculous. Don't give him work. I have legitimately never heard a good thing about Chevy Chase. The saddest part in my opinion is, had he stayed on community, he could had a career comeback the same way Danny DeVito had one with IASIP.
Seems Like Old Times is a terrific Chase movie. He has made some of the funniest films ever....Vacation, Fletch, Caddyshack. Also great are Fletch Lives and Funny Farm. He was the best ever IMO.

The writer's totally wasted Chevy Chase's talents. It was a disappointment. Technology could have been a funny frustration for an older student on the show, like wiping out a class project by hitting the wrong key. All the racist stuff didn't even make sense as they had him hitting on Shirley in the beginning, and he's a hip older guy by even attending a community college for social reasons as he didn't need it for any other reason. Writer's totally missed the mark.
