    Story 2 reminds me a lot of both of my parents even though they were divorced from the get go. Getting told you're wrong and written off as childish over and over for years does quite a number on the ability to trust your own parents.

    Can say this now
    Writing in a notebook helps a lot better when doing a first draft
    You are able to just write and not worry about miss spellings, grammar. just free form writing.

      @@paxhumana2015 are you OP? Because listen, you gotta learn to take criticism of your writing. No one talks like that in real life! When writing dialogue, you gotta say it out loud and think "would any real person actually say these words?" If you wanna pass off a creative writing prompt as a real event (and I feel that in itself is a little scummy in this context) you gotta make sure it's believable

    I only fight with three of my siblings and they get so ugly. And when we do fight it's over the pettiest things because I know if I did that I would get my butt beat but if they did it they just scolded. They are so bratty it is so irritating! I'm sure as adults we will understand each other better but right now I really hate them ( I do love them too ). My mom doesn't believe in corporal punishment but my dad does. He doesn't anymore because I'm a lot bigger and stronger than him.

    Prolly going to be an unpopular opinion but I think op on story 1 is just a jealous entitled kid who wants a close relationship with his parents but doesn't want to do any work to get closer if any thing actively avoiding a relationship while complaining not having one.
    All my brothers are half siblings so I can somewhat relate. However his conduct from the beginning (at least from how I understand it) has been malicious towards his step sibling.

    • @armaggedon390
      @armaggedon390 Год назад +5

      Being the least favorite child sucks. So saying that OP should have just tried to hide his real personality and act like the perfect little son to his parents like that one annoying employee who tries to cozy up to the boss like the brother did... kinda messed up.
      "Just pretend you like writing and hate sports."
      OPs dad called him dumb for not being a writer. OPs brother spied on him and tattled on him all the time. OPs mom knew the brother was wrong and didn't do anything about it at the time.
      And you're saying it's all OPs fault? If I was always the one blamer for everything, I'd avoid a relationship as well. (All my siblings are half-siblings too, and we never had any issues because our parents treated us right.)

    • @MrMonkeykiller1996
      @MrMonkeykiller1996 Год назад

      @@armaggedon390 you sound like an only child and no not all the blame is ops his parents showed blatant favoritism later on and his brother turned out be be a little shit too
      However, op does get a good bit of blame for not trying. You don't have to be a fucking kiss ass to have a healthy relationship with your parents but you do have to at least put effort in and not just blame everyone and everything for your failures.
      Then again, this is one side of the story Im sure there's lots of missing information that would completely change the narrative.

      @@Haunted4200 I'd argue that while it would make you overly conscious, it doesn't condome the language used by OP in the description of the half-brother interests and past times. I remember hearing things like "stupid" and other such words, which does denote a level of judginess that has, in fact, not gone away with time despite claims that they are now close to each other.

      OP was a “second loved” child therefore he gets a bit of leeway for the jerkiness. His father clearly viewed his half-brother as his true son and OP was just his other kid. Then you have OP’s mother that appeared to prefer the half-brother over the OP.
