Anyone else going to mention that The Black Rainbow ends abruptly, and goes into the reprised version of one, for the outro of the album (If you don't count the demos) and this track (Almost) does the same /sudden/ cut out? (I say almost because this one has a small clip of synth that you can hear while its cutting out; Where as The Black Rainbow cuts straight to silence, as if your disc stopped playing)
If this is my last chance, keep me I don't need to go You're better off without the misunderstanding If I am displeasing, then leave me a reason to what I want Would I truly care if the truth would mean nothing? Mookle123 they aren’t anything “core” lol. They’re their own breed of metal. Not literally, but “core” brands can get fucked. They have nothing on these amazing guys’ talent.
It's because it's Chris Pennie on the drums, the original Dillinger Escape Plan drummer. This whole album has one of the worlds most insane drummers and it's the only one with him on it. That is why this is my favorite Coheed album
@@donniesawtell3884 I have to agree. Chris is crazy good. Highly technical and has amazing feel, but Josh understands Claudio's vision for their songs and plays off the rest of the band far better. This is why Josh is back as C&C's drummer and Chris is working on other projects. It's not so much about who the better drummer is and more about who is better for their music. The answer is clearly Josh.
only Coheed song I like Chris Pennie brought his A game to this and im so impressed how well the rest of the band kept up with him. Made me respect them for ever
WAIT! WAIT! Why do so many of these comments refer to this album as an agreed upon "lesser' album? Any true Coheed fan would not say that. There is no bad Coheed music. It's all Coheed and Claudio growing and wanting to try different things musically. This man and this band can do no wrong in my opinion. Maybe part of that is the fact that I love ALL genres of music so when Coheed shifts into different musical soundscapes I am there flying with them!!
+shawtnsean I used to hate this album, only like a few songs. after listening to it over the span of a couple months I absolutely love the damn thing, it's full of destructive raw emotion.
+Scott Baldwin If you're die-hard like me then they really can't do wrong. I like every song they have done. Again, I like ALL forms of music, so a band who refuses to sound the same from album to album is right up my alley. But, you're right. You can be a fan of some of their music without liking the whole catalog.
I thought I was a die hard fan too, specially of shabutie which is not easy to get into for most. yet I absolutely despise their new album and it has nothing to do with genre, the compositions are simply weak and lazy. of course you would know nothing about that since you seem to not be a musician, but a drummer, judging by your picture. I assume you have a rather simplistic view of music, which explains your ridiculous comment.
shawtnsean there are definitely mediocre coheed records.. Last 2 records were pretty blah This was the last album that I liked almost all of the tracks
What was wrong with Chris getting one crazy song? He did the same ol' Coheed style beats on World of Lines, Here We Are Juggernaut, and a few others off of the album. It's you thick headed Coheed fans who don't want them to progress at all and want to keep them as the same band they were when they put out Second Stage, but that's not going to happen. If anything, they now have a good challenging song that they can show off against all those other losers who say Coheed doesn't have skill.
This song would be great if Claudio didn't sound terrible on it. Actually he sounds pretty bad on the whole album, you could tell the smoking really took his toll
+guccitwanmane It reminds me of Hole in the Earth by Deftones. Probably one of my favorite Coheed songs, yet this album is easily forgettable as a whole.
+bassRAGE i've enjoyed all of their albums and coheed is my favorite band but i don't think they can ever outdo their first 3 albums which includes good apollo vol 1(which in many ways could be considered their magnum opus) IKS is my favorite album from them
Dissadeon but it is one of the most important albums in the Amory Wars storyline. May not be super great, if happen to disagree with it. I’m a newfound fan of these guys. I started with both Afterman albums, and honestly there’s a huge difference in the two. I appreciate everybody’s views on the album, but to me personally I feel like this is one of my favorites so far.
@@tylergeorge7726 The Afterman records are slowly becoming some of my favorites. Though like everyone else In Keeping Secrets has to be my favorite as far as the songs go. Unheavenly Creatures is fucking amazing though and I love it just as much.
this album has grown on me so much in the past month.
While this album may be the red headed stepchild of the Coheed discography, this song is badass!
People who dont like this album are fools
@@DarranKern it’s not a good album
Wow the best most unexpected COHEED and CAMBRIA lick I've ever heard!!!! SO BAD ASS
Drumming is just so good
What bizarre amalgamation of pedals went into that solo! Holy Shit!
Probably not as much as you think. Just a digitizer and a wah
That chorus is so fucking Glassjaw it hurts.

This song just makes me feel good.
I can't help but love all Coheed's albums equally. Could never chose a favorite
Still the best live show I've seen to date
Does anyone else think that this is about claudio having a water fight with his kids and mercilessly whupping their asses.
I have never been physically afraid of a drum line before.
u guys r nuts... far is the best song on here
Amazing.
on his voice. Shockingly it sounds amazing on the two albums that followed.
Best song from the album.

This wrong is written so well! It's tough to find rock-core bands that actually have song writing talent.
Mookle123 they aren’t anything “core” lol. They’re their own breed of metal. Not literally, but “core” brands can get fucked. They have nothing on these amazing guys’ talent.
This is why youtube is important. take notes.
Man this song wrecks! I usually dont like coheed but this beat sounds so hardcore...

josh is way better for this band then cris pennie

YOTBR is one of the most cinematic and majestic albums of C&C
This drum track... it scares me...
It's cool that Josh is back, and Zach is neat, but this song is a great example of why Claudio/Travis/Mic/Chris will always be my favorite line up.
Nope
here 2021

4:32 always gives me the chills for some reason
I mean it's awesome. I just don't think I'll ever be able to play it. But it's fantastic.
Love it
They basically just turned in The Marz Volta
- The1trueharf - with some Animals as Leaders
***** This is Taylor Hawkins on the recording :D but its fukin crazy
James Klippel This is Chris Pennie, Hawkins recorded on No World
Yeah my b lol. I wonder if josh could do this shit haha
Idk man the verses for Juggernaut are NUTS!!!
Why is this in the gaming category?

It's more like the mix is bad. On The Afterman albums he sounds so much better.
The one who uploaded this song forgot to chose which category it went to, lol.
One of their bes songs off one of their worst albums
