Miles "Tails" Prower, first introduced to us with the release of Sonic 2.
Let's dive into this fox's adventure and see how he became more than Player 2.
He was bullied as a child which left him with low self esteem, which made him over reliant on Sonic.
But over time and through challenge he learned to believe in himself.
This is how Tails became a hero.

I see myself in Tails. I got bullied as a child, but after I got my first friend in school, I started to find out who I am. I started illustrating, photographing and cosplaying, and these are still my favorite hobbies! (Also those ears are freaking adorable, and I would love to make them an official Christmas accessory💙)
Being a big bro myself, Tails is one of my favorite characters. Me and my brother always play Sonic games as Sonic and Tails together. I may have sped past him 50 mph, but still... It's always fun.

I know. It's one thing to play by yourself, but it feels much more alive when siblings or friends grab a controller as well.
Tails is always a cute character, and reminds me of my little brother!

Hey I just checked out this video, which is really great to watch and also I like that you brought up Tails origin into this because I seen other RUclipsrs that do these kind of videos that sometimes they never mention Tails being bullied because he had two tails. Sometimes when i watch a video of someone explain Tails character like this, they don't include Tails origin instead they talk about his big moment in ( SA1& SA2) Sonic adventure, Sonic Adventure 2. I think including Tails origin story can can change the way of how Tails was represented before he became a hero in the (SA) adventure games. See in the song 'Believe in Myself' is a great way of representing what the character ' Miles "Tails" Prower 'as who he is and it explains what Tails of who he was but wants to move forward. Like in the lyrics there is a line where it says 'if I just follow you I would never see the light', now in this part of this song is what I think this part means is ethier it's talking about him following Sonic or is Tails himself who can't find his path because he feels insecure about himself and his abilities and probably doubts himself too. Then again, I feel like to me Tails is great character because for one many of reasons why I love this character so much because he represents a part of me and to all of us. Which is sad really because Tails doesn't get enough love now days and what's crazy is that Shadow is the 2nd popular character instead of Tails even though he is the 3rd popular in that category but Tails should also be way more popular and recognized as well. Anyway, I love your video and your anylasis over the character was amazingly done well. so yeah great work in making this video of our beloved 'Miles "Tails" Prower'. Which your right Tails did taught all of us a valuable lesson that we sometime forget and that lesson he taught us

I think that in frontiers I personally value it alot that they didn't try to pretend like the writing was just always consistent, that was the harder path for the writers to take it would've been easy for the writers to just say "oh that didn't happen" but they didn't and that's a good thing to me. I think that when talking about sonic Character's writing is that due to it being so varied its confusing to really be able to tell what should and shouldn't effect your opinion on a character, I think in that way the Fandom is the best because it looks at the potential all the characters have and uses them to their fullest potential. We know how to tell what's wrong about the characters but dont allow that to make us feel bitter about the characters and I think that's really cool

I don’t see why Tails needed this "redemption arc". There was never anything to redeem anout him. The writers just caved into complainers who have no idea what they're talking about.
Let me get this straight... Tails needed a redemptive arc because *flicks through notes*
...he was scared and traumatised. Like seriously? Trauma makes people regress in real life, do THEY need "redeeming" too? Plus, Tails already got over his trauma when Classic Sonic showed up, and helped out the others in Forces, which showed he was done being a coward. Tails didn't "regress" in Forces, he developed further.
Everyone complaining about Tails in Forces seems to have no idea how grief trauma work.
