- A selection of pad and string sounds available on the Digitone and Digitone Keys. This isn't every pad and string sound, just some of our favorites.
All of the sounds can be found on the Digitone and Digitone Keys as presets or downloaded as Sound Packs from the Elektron website.
Let us know in the comments if there is a sound or set of sounds you want to hear from the Digitone, Digitone Keys, or other Elektron synths.
You had me at the Chrono Trigger samples in the intro!
the best digitone keys video 🙌
Imagine if the digitone had more voices , bigger unisson !
Cool demo and play man !
You play really good
sounds good!
I can imagine it's good in live-situations ... can it control virtual instruments in your DAW also ?
Yes! With 4 independent MIDI sequencer tracks you can create sequences on the Digitone Keys that control soft synths within your DAW.
@@ElektronVideoKlub can you import a MIDI sequence?
It sounds pretty warm, does it? Compared to the yamaha fm synths I know at least!
That‘s in the hand of the programmer..
And the great (analog style) filter surely helps..
Hehe Pad thai...I get it
amazing! is it possible to delete the factory presets or rewrite them?
Yes! Also, when you start a new project, all 4 sounds start as blank patches that you can build from the ground up.
@@ElektronVideoKlub elektron F.T.W. thanks for the replies! this is ofcourse the way every machine should be. creativity doesn't really work with presets, an empty canvas activates creativity 4 me.
@@noordholland648 lol in my experience most people have the opposite opinion. It's like the difference between playing an instrument and building an instrument. For me it depends on the day. However, even if it's only as a reference it's definitely nice to have factory presents. Helps you learn the ins and outs of the instrument.
@@reecedeyoung6595 well the people i know dont care about anybody elses expression when making, expressing themself. but its just a factor of purification i think. just make music right
@@noordholland648 If you want the shortest possible path between an idea and the expression of that idea then you should learn from the past instead of starting from scratch. The way you talk makes it sound like you don't understand that expression is fundamentally about communicating. If you disregard how other people have expressed themselves then you have no language to communicate. If you are making music that doesn't and isn't intended to communicate something then that's not expression. It's more like exploration.
Not a machine for pads and strings sounds.
Sounding pretty good to me.
