    I have to say thanks to Jay for his informative videos. I first watched his video in Feb 2014 and, after the third video, I told my youngest son that I was going to fix my credit and buy my first house in 2016. I was able to get my first secure credit card and since then have gotten a lot more regular cards. My credit score jumped from 579 to where it is now at 749 and, I'm getting ready to close on my 1st home. thanks Jay.

      I want to improve my credit too!
      How many secured credit cards did you get per year?

    • @davidsanchez7577
      @davidsanchez7577 8 лет назад +2

      +J Blanc As a Banker I advise you to stay limited to no more than 3 credit cards i.e. secured or unsecured.

    • @joshuawhite7639
      @joshuawhite7639 8 лет назад +2

      why stay limited to no more than 3 credit cards would it be wise to get as many as you can and try to build higher credit limits with each card?

    • @davidsanchez7577

      ***** I agree w/ you when you mentioned about "time frames." As far as the amount of credit cards you have being irrelevant; if we're speaking facts and not subjectively, that is false. Credit card utilization is highly influential to your score. The more credit card accounts you have, the higher your total available credit limit will be, giving your balances more room to breathe e.g. Having different types of accounts generally shows that more lenders believe in your ability to repay debt. Boasting a variety of account types on your report can also establish that you have a positive track record of responsible credit behavior.
      I however, am liquid. I hardly use my credit cards considering my decent score is a direct coorelation to my debt-to-income ratio i.e. cars and real estate.
      Now that we're learning from eachother, let's continue on this lesson. ***** What's your take on having credit cards, with 0 balances. How does this directly influence your credit i.e. is this beneficial/harmful etc.

      +joshua white More than 3 hard hits per year will drop your credit score so you have to pace them out

    i held a job for 3 years and never got a credit card, once i put a bill in my name i got one in less than a week lmfao! i feel bad because i wasted 3 years when i could have built my credit. anyways a simpler version is teaching people how to repair/build their credit and then starting any work at home business to claim the tax benefits/write offs and eventually build business credit 👌 once your all set up you can lease the range rover under the companys name or use it as a down payment on a multi fam property or start/expand a new business.

    True freedom is only found among the powerful. And the power is but found among the many. We can only become the many if we (all) united. The most simple and basic place to start is with language. That alone will unite us. We must choose one language to speak among African-Americans and African

    Thank you, I appreciate you spreading your knowledge from your experiences so other can go out and get it just like you did! I do have a question, though, why do you suggest leasing a car rather than buying it out right?

    • @DariusBaileyATL
      @DariusBaileyATL 7 лет назад +1

      K. Alexandria Jervis automobiles have no value. They lose substantial value the moment it leaves the lot. Under a lease, you pay for the use of the auto which allows flexibility to upgrade, which stats show most of us do.

    • @wellnessence6420
      @wellnessence6420 7 лет назад +1

      Thank you both for your insightful responses. If I'm understanding this correctly, by paying for the mileage/usage of a vehicle, I get the full benefits of having a vehicle PLUS I can upgrade as a bonus. Sounds great to me! I'll be looking forward to leasing a car (or two) soon! Does this option effect your credit differently than purchasing a vehicle?

    • @DariusBaileyATL
      @DariusBaileyATL 7 лет назад +1

      K. Alexandria Jervis typically, obtaining a lease requires a stronger credit profile. However, once you hold a lease, the lessor usually reports your account the same way as a creditor would. Hope this helps. Visit my channel when feasible.

    What jay is saying sounds good and all but i don't he's talking to the people like me who are living check to check working 9 to 5 transitioning to making 20k a month. I mean he transition into that arena already having money from the dope game. What about us trying come into this with nothing trying to avoid debt of loans to do this?

    • @TeamAfrikaMemphis
      @TeamAfrikaMemphis 8 лет назад +12

      Actually, we are the exact people he is talking about. You have to figure out how much you need for the lifestyle you want to live THEN you come up with a plan to get that money coming in residually.

      I brought my first house at 30 when I was making $35K for $65K in Philadelphia, PA. FHA loan with the home for the holidays program $100 down and closing fees $10K. Dream big, talk to people with experience about your dream, and set goals every year, month, week. Save $25 per week and pay your bills on time. Save your income tax refund money and don't waste money for 1 year. It is possible just start something.

    Question? It says that you can only have 1 fha loan out at a time if you want more than 1 then the first one needs to be paid off....also you say repeat at the end what do you do keep applying for fha loans???

    • @ColbyB23
      @ColbyB23 7 лет назад +2

      you can if you go from a four to a 1

    • @enigma6451
      @enigma6451 7 лет назад

      B.Unique I had the same question too. you can only qualify for fha AGAIN IF & only if you've paid off your first loan. if you want to buy another property you will have to come up with 20% vs. fha 3.5%. but that shouldn't be hard.
