Same bro, ironically bloodborne is one of the catalysts for me to get interested in spirituality and made me curious to learn in general, to leave my decade long depression and seek better things. A mixture of bloodborne, Tantra, and Psychedelics. Wild combo and they werent all at once, but they all played major roles in helping me open myself up to new ways of thinking and not locking myself in that dark place to drown.
@WackNoir I've done a good bit of Acid, some smaller doses of 100 ug and my largest was 675 ug which was simultaneously the most beneficial and traumatic night of my life only because my other friend had psychosis and that was extremely not fun to deal with (my trip was fine 😃 I listened to third eye by tool, ate a strawberry, merged consciousness with a wooden floor, and thought I was a bee and started crying when I thought about a flower) Other than that I've done some shrooms but they didn't do much, might've just been weak or I have a high tolerance. And Ive tried a DMT pen but barely any, just enough to know that I'm fine waiting on that one. Also once on acid I was blasting tool while fighting the Orphan of Kos and all I'll say is I really had to step outside after he killed me cus that was a whole lot to handle 😭. But games like this really do show in their artistry and atmosphere on substances like that, can just be a bit much sometimes obviously cus...sharp blades, beasts, blood everywhere, crucified bodies, it's literally hell and you feel every bit of it. But it's pretty so ✨ Anyway ye micro dosing shrooms is always a safe bet, would recommend sticking with shrooms and being cautious with other substances since they can be more unpredictable. The best thing a person can do is learn to let go of your strict views of reality and of the self. The harder you grip to that sense of security and knowing, the more problematic it can end up. That was the difference between myself and my friend: I learned to let go, while he refused to.
@@WackNoir I highly recommend micro dosing. I thought it was bullshit. It helped get me thru a severely bad malpractice kidney transplant. Combined with the dark souls community online, the life of a disabled veteran was saved. I wish you luck fellow hunter, may you find your worth in the waking world.
I had very same experience as you did. I have received Bloodborne as birthday gift. I have not heard about Souls games or From Software till that point. I hated that game. I hated how punishing it was, how difficult it was, how cryptic and inaccessible it was. I did not want to play it, i did not know how to play it. So i have opened youtube for clues and guides and that was the point where i have realized how deep this game goes. I have invested over 3000 hours in Bloodborne since then and this game just amazes me each time. It is masterfully well made game.
Nothing. I got this with my PS4 at the time. First FromSoft game and I had no idea what I was getting into. I rage quit at some point but years later I came back and finished it. Now I dip in to play the DLC from time to time. Bloodborne = absolute masterpiece!
I think of every game he's made as a different meal. To me, they offer differing flavors for each experience, but you can get an equal amount of value/satisfaction from them all. Especially if you're not looking down the scope of one aspect of the experience.
I got this game when it was provided free one month on PSN. I was interested in it previously, watched some videos about it, and was excited to finally play it. Went through it with a horrible build which ruined the experience. I set it aside for a year and then got a sudden urge to play again, as I had loved the setting, music, and the blend of horror (some of which surprised me). That second play was amazing. Because of this game, I've become a fan of cosmic horror and FromSoftware. It's my favorite of their souls-style games, and I play it at least once per year. And, simple person that I am, when I see someone sharing a personal story about their attachment to this game, I watch. Thank you.
My favorite thing about Bloodborne is seeing all the different composers and music theory channels reacting to the music and being able to nail the gist of the lore through the music alone. This game is a masterpiece. It's the greatest game of all time.
Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring are all fighting for permanent places in my all time top 10. I tried so hard to get into Dark Souls, but I just don't like the vibe nearly as much as their non Souls titles. Even AC appeals to me way more than that trilogy. I played Bloodborne while I was going through the motions of grief after a lost pregnancy. It was so strangely comforting to see how much pregnancy is featured in this game, as if I needed to play it at that time to really get the most out of it. Figuring out that I need to be a ferocious and brutal Hunter was the best "switch flip" I've ever experienced in gaming. Playing as the most aggressive monster in Yharnam is endlessly satisfying and only matched by the patience and pure skill of Sekiro.
My first FromSoft game & my 12th game in the modern generation (last played SNES in mid 90's). Holds a very special place in my mind. Top 2 games ever made with only Returnal being ahead IMO.
I fuckin love everything about this game….btw if you are running through cleric beast and gascoine first try on your first playthrough then good for you but that ain’t normal
The game is so good that I redid the game straight after finishing it the first time after clearing all bosses, including the DLC, except the moon presence. I will add that NG+ is even better than the base game because you get your weapons with increased difficulty.
Bloodbourne does have some flaws but over all it does a lot right. The level design, the combat and mechanics, the art style, the cryptic story. It’s definitely the best game I’ve ever played.
@ well personally I think it’s FromSofts best title. It feels and plays better than earlier titles like DS1 and 2 and demon souls. Elden Ring feels to open and copy pasted. To be honest I can’t think of any game I’d put before Bloodbourne.
man this is the best soulsborne for me, the only thing that holding back this masterpiece is the lack of other platform aside from ps4, the 30fps lock is not that bad either.
Bloodborne should have been 2015's game of the year. I like Witcher 3 but that game's a bit overwhelming with all the talking, the quests, crafting etc. that I only played about 3 hrs . I bought the witcher 1-3 bundle back in the pandemic but all of them I didn't spend over 5 hours. like I'd rather game with little nightmares 1 and 2 and stray in the pandemic. but Bloodborne? I bought this back in april and I'm intrigue. first souls game, so hard to adjust coming from ghost of Tsushima but that challenge is why I kept on playing. the charm of Lovecraftian horror, Victorian era, great and memorable skyboxes, memorable bosses, the slapping boss music.. plus no difficulty slider, everyone's experience is the same just on different builds. the cinematic 30fps is fine if the frame pacing was okay but it's 2024 every great game has been remastered and remade. honestly I just need the 60fps patch like what fromsoft did with dark souls 3. because the designs are perfect already. .So as what I was saying. Bloodborne deserved the GOTY because every moment of it even though excruciatingly difficult on the 1st playthru, it was beautifully impactful.
Bloodborne, actually, is more of a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. This game also had a foot in survival horror, if you enjoyed bloodborne, be sure to check out the original. Either the ps3 version or the remake
I mean this with no malice but just creative criticism, I loved the video, editing was top notch, but as far as the script it was a bit of a sudden ending and didn't really feel like you had a thesis. Still loved what you did here tho
Let me help anyone that is confused. There is absolutely no limit to how far humans can go to fuck things up🤣. This is why Bloodborne strikes a cord with alot of us. Our lives are fucked up and souls games show us never to go hollow….
Bloodborne is the best game for beginner's, since it show you how to play the other games the "fun" way. Rather than turtle up with shields from other games.
I wish I could play it. It is not officially available on PC and I have never owned a playstation. Even if I try to run it on my ryzen 7 + rtx 3050 4gb vram laptop through shadps4, it will lag as apparently emulation requires minimum 6gb vram. Kinda weird how my laptop ran Elden Ring, Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima perfectly at high settings but a decade old game's emulation will lag. It's sad bruh. I hope they port it to PC on the 10th anniversary (yes I'm delusional)
Don’t know why people come into a video where someone is very clearly expressing their personal love for a game just to shit on them and their love for said game, and tell them “this other game is better.” This isn’t a “ranking From Soft games” video, where that sort of commentary would actually have a place. Pathetic behavior.
Leave those people be, I like bloodborne but I definitely don’t love or passionate as the guy on the video. Cause no game is “better” like music it’s subjective cause of the multiple genres that gaming has. I personally like platformers more than any genre so a game like Mario galaxy I would always favor over bloodborne.
Bloodborne is the closest we got to an unfiltered raw form of Berserk as a game. The very themes are as thick as congealed blood, the visuals coherent and beautiful. That feeling of true despair... I... love it! Its depraved, its visceral, its feminine, and most importantly fun.
@ said its the closest we got to unfiltered raw Berserk(manga form) I didnt consider the actual Berserk game to have any because the source material was known for it, so of course they'd censor or even remove some parts of it. Bloodborne is something new so no one would expect a woman being nonconsensually impregnated by an all powerful god and give birth to an abomination.
