Sergio Leone is easily one of the greatest directors of all time but I think Kurasawa deserve some credit here when mentioning the things that gave him inspiration. The dollars trilogy, the greatest trilogy in cinema, took direct inspiration from Kurasawa's Ronin films.

Nowadays, the western genre is becoming a dying category to today's movie modern standards. Luckily, western are pushing back to its genre slowly (i.e. '1883').
