    CORRECTION: Orcas are dolphins not whales, they are the largest dolphin species growing up to 32ft/9.8m long. Their alternate name Killer Whale is an identification error, much like Koala sometimes called Koala Bear even though it isn't a bear, it's a marsupial. Giant Pandas and Red Pandas, despite their names are from two seperate families, Giant Pandas are bears whilst Red Pandas are raccoons.
    Horseshoe Crabs aren't actually crabs they are in fact sea scorpions.

      Dolphins ARE Whales - including Orcas which are dolphins. Dolphins are toothed whales with 1 blowhole, as opposed to Baleen whales which have a baleen "comb" and a split blowhole like nostrils.

    • @KH-Koenigsberg
      @KH-Koenigsberg 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@adrielle7937 I know dolphins are toothed whales, however the fact that no other dolphin species featured in this video other than the Orca, is a bit misleading and the narrator failed to make the distinction. I also know about the difference between toothed and baleen whales. Such as the blowholes and their teeth or baleen comb. So your argument is null and void. I also noticed you have repeated this reply to other people who have pointed out the error in this video, doesn't change the fact they featured a dolphin species in a video about whales who are strictly whales and failed to make any distinction between the two. No one asked to be lectured or for someone to make excuses for errors.

I like whales that much I wan't to protect and save them from hunters and wan't to stop a Whale hunting forever but I would LOVE to see a real Whale and that's why I wan't to visit in Norway's Arctic ocean or in Iceland and going to watching whales from a boat. When I heard you say the right whale was named because it's the right whale to hunt I said to myself really?😥😥😥humans again, two things lead to animal endangerment and extinction climate change and human interference but it all leads up to human interference because of that climate change came into effect. I am seeing many comments asking if dolphins are whales...so wanted to help clear up the confusion. Technically, dolphins ARE whales. All whales, dolphins, and porpoises are part of the family/classification called "Cetacea". There are two suborders in class Cetacea: Baleen Whales and Toothed Whales. Dolphins are part of the suborder Toothed Whales.

    Friendly advice is to try to use the metric system equivalent in distances, depths and sizes etc. Only 3 countries use the imperial system (feet, mile...) in the world and they are United States, Liberia, and Myanmar, the vast majority of the viewers cannot visualize what 3000 feet is in depth.

    The same identification error has occurred in both Long and Short Finned Pilot Whales and the False Killer Whale which are all dolphins, not whales. Both Pilot Whale species are the 2nd and 3rd largest dolphin species growing up to 25ft/7.6m (long finned) & 24ft/7.2m (short finned). False Killer Whale are the 4th largest species of dolphin growing up to 20ft/6m long. The clue of their actual species is often in their Latin name as to which family they actually belong to.

    I love whales, but the Orca, which it technically a dolphin (doesn't sound so nice thought does it, Killer Dolphin?), I really don't like. Yes, they look beautiful and they are very intelligent, but they are also cruel and play with prey for fun. I guess they remind me of humans and chimpanzees and the domestic cat in that respect.
    So sad that so much of our flora, fauna and oceanic life is threatened by the actions of humans who are the biggest infestation on this planet.

    • @IS_THIS_CHRIS

      When the orcas "play" with their food they are often teaching the young Orca how to hunt and giving them a chance to try. They aren't cruel, humans have cornered the market on that.
