I love this DVD. It's called across the great divide, a tour they did with another great Aussie band Powderfinger. My go to DVD when I need a lift. Every songs version on this DVD is awesome, especially emotion sickness. Sadly, the band split not long after this.
I believe she got him into alcohol and now he's a like 2 bottles of wine a day kinda guy. Thanks to her. I think she created all the crap he's been through since meeting her. Not a good match at all. He's currently dating Lauren a top party DJ to the stars in Australia. Seems to be inn great place now. Last footage was of them attending RHCPs concert this year here in Sydney.
He was very much into experimentation, the others weren't, they wanted to stay more rock. He's released 2 solo albums since then( RnB, mellow, experimental) which actually haven't done too badly. Also joined up with Empire of the Sun's Luke Steele and made Dreams. He now has Dreams tattooed across the front of his neck in thick black. Looks absolutely crap. His solo songs, look for Cool On Fire, or Preach. Also teamed up with rapper 360 with Impossible, this is AMAZING.
Grunge at its best, with that experimental, distorted guitar. Unfortunately, Daniel Johns became too experimental and the band moved away from this sound to their detriment but their first 3 albums were gold.
