I played this to death. Strike at Karkand 24/7 Infantry only - I didnt really play any other map in BF2. Great times, good teamplay with the squad system well and then BF became ... different.
I didn't mind it back in the day. Eventually most of it becomes white noise. Only once I had somebody TK as commander, then I just only spotted enemies near my own squads. I would rather have as much information as possible than none at all, especially as I didn't have a headset back then
That's just the commander being overzealous, you shouldn't be calling out "enemy infantry spotted" that frequently, your men have eyes and can see, you want to point out enemies when they're maneuvering to flank your men and they don't realize or there's a tank coming their way or some other worthy enough threat, but you don't need to ping out every dude with a group of 15 enemies in one position, that's overkill, your men can see them and/or hear all the gunfire and know they're there. I played BF2 pretty heavy back in the day when you actually purchased it in stores in a case with 5 CDs, actual CD before they made the collectors edition or whatever on a DVD disc. I still have the physical copy of this game should I ever wish to reinstall and play.
