Every Sunday afternoon is the squeegee maintenance time. I do a thorough check of the squeegee rubber and replace or switch sides as required.
Since I prefer Facelift Razr Red, I easily get a week or more from each side. Then I trim it down for my smaller squeegees.

Hi Peter mate ,great videos as always very clear, excellent communication, which will help a lot of people, ( despite the Scottish accent lol).
I have trouble getting the edges of my rubber cut straight ,do you have any advice for a tool to do this please instead of using a pair of scissors or a Stanley knife.
I'm 25 years traditional, words fail me to express the joy, utter joy, at using the Mormon Liquidator!!
This tool is in my view ,unparalleled, and cannot be improved upon, it is Perfection.

If I am doing a house or other job 100.00 dollars and over I flip or change the user squeegee blades. The exception is if that was done earlier that day. As for cut down blades personally there used one time then repurposed. Route and smaller jobs use the blade with accepted wear.

Moerman with Ettore rubber, nice
Ettore Master Pro is exactly that, it's a fine medium blade. The other I would use is Wagtail.

Hi do you not cut your rubbers at an angle on the liquidator as your vid shows square?
You can use it squared or cut at an angle, works either way 😉
How does nicks look like? And how does a damaged new rubber look like? Im from Denmark, and have ben storing my rubber in a cardboard box, and im worried that my rubber is damaged from that..
As long as the rubber is in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight it will be fine

If you clean windows using pure water and a wfp they will stay cleaner longer than if you clean them traditionally. Using soap and a squeegee leaves a film behind and dirt will cling to the window more than if the window was washed with wfp.

@@qazwerspoil yeah Steve uses standard squeegees and does straight pulls when using on a pole, so he can get on better compared to a window cleaner that uses precision tools and fans the window on a pole. The window cleaner that uses precision tools needs good slip to be able to perform more advanced window cleaning techniques, unfortunately the blue rubber has way too much friction on the glass and I've found it even leaves arc lines which I've not had with Ettore, pulex or the latest green unger rubber
I find the Moerman soft rubber the best of the lot.
I used the new nxtr blue rubber yesterday, really not impressed with it. Grips the glass too much compared to moerman soft, with that annoying squeaking noise giving it away. Just know that on a hot sunny day it will be useless. Think I'll stick to moerman soft, half the price, double the quality
