Amazing the speed Norris generates not using a 3 finger right hand wow…I’m I the only one who thought that drum solo was very melodic? the melody I heard in the drum solo was almost weird to me…I’m I losing it? Lol
Just when I thought that "here's coming another walking bass solo", Philip does one the most amazing, electrifying bass solo on "Oleo". F*ck! Now, how about Joe's solo, huh? Owner of a very relaxed playing, gives us a masterful MUSIC oriented solo! Congrats to everyone - Nicholas, Emmet and the people who have recorded this so well and balanced. Emmet: thank you again!
Greaaaat playing, absolutely love Rhythm Changes!!! BTW does anyone know if the ending credit song (piano) is an actual song, or just a lick recorded for Emmet's videos?
@@filipkasprzyk9564it's a reference to part of Patrick Bartley's solo on after you've gone on this channel where he played that one lick and the entire band reacted with the Pa pada pada rhythm. I think that video might have the most views on the channel.
@@conzo4620Goes a lot deeper than that actually. Supposedly it goes back to the 1930s, although I couldn't find any examples myself that early. This explains why the entire band knew to respond with that exact rhythm. A few more recent examples include: Milt Jackson Live at Baltica '99 playing "Bags Groove" 2:55, Miles Davis on Four and More playing "Walkin" 1:52, Miles Davis on Milestones playing "Straight, No Chaser 3:30, J.J. Johnson on J.J in Person playing "Tune Up" 1:45.
Death? Or Tuesday! What if Jerry died. Did he really? I'm talking big bios. Malaria. If I had a blind person for every time my favorite color was the letter five, I would have six deaf people.
