Stayed in the Holiday Inn Collier,s Wood with my girlfriend now Wife in 2003 (the view from our room was a monstrous Black office block)Britannia Point
I used to work in that ugly building. It was lopsided due to subsidence. The lifts would break down in summer because of the TILT. I thought it was to be demolished, but there it is. A blot on the landscape. The parent company was BROWN AND ROOT (HALLIBURTON). They occupied all of the office space in the area.
TV cop show the Bill often used shops near underground to film, and the old car park probably gone now. And the park across the road used a few times for filming.
Excellent. Will be interested to see how Tooting might have changed.
