Tooting Market, on Saturday’s my dad would drive us up from Tadworth . My dad would keep an eye on the grocers putting their good stuff up front and pulling from behind the counter putting a "moldy" one in the bottom of every bag, my dad was so happy when supermarkets let you pick your own. Thanks for the walk . Cheers from San Diego
In my days there were a lot of curry & Sari shops. I must confess we would cut through and drive through residential areas. Wonder what Battersea/Queens Town Road is like these days?
Growing up in the fifties in tooting went to graveny rd school the castle pub Granada pictures toilets in the middle of the rd opposite the station the good old days left 50 years ago in Australia now
When I went last time through the Tooting markets (1962) there were good spaces or walkways! Now it seems like all the stall owners want to 'push out' and make restricted walkways? I hope they don't have any fires in that market! Very bad now!
It's cleaned up a bit with many new buildings.
My aunt lived in tooting many years ago ! And a very young jimmy White, the snooker player, lived in the same flat as her .

Wow you've got Anytime Fitness.
Yes. I used to be a member of the Sutton branch when I worked every day in the office but canceled that when hybrid working became a thing.
