Ford fella here.. Very nice ride 👍👍🇦🇺 Being a small car I bet she still handles well Evan with the great HP. ANY AUSSIE WOULD BE PROUD TO OWN HER.👍👍✌️🇦🇺
My only spit with these Torana's was the LC & LJ was that the front left/right fenders & nose were bloody spot welded & lead filled to hide the seams. An absolute nightmare to replace if you had the misfortune of a front-end collision. Many if not all of the early model Holdens had bolt on panels. On a more positive note, your skill set is phenomenal. Craftsmanship, attention to detail all top notch, A1 Superb. Automotive art at its best.
Sounds healthy, very nice. My little brother was building a twin turbo Maserati powered LC, no idea where he's at with it these days, haven't heard from him in years.
Back in the early 90's I saw an LC GTR XU1 with an engineer certified 327 c.i Chevy...Canary Yellow, black interior with custom 8 and 9 inch Dragways. Power to weight ratio was ballistic and had to take off in 3rd gear.... don't remember why....it just always took off in 3rd gear.
@WorthyRestorations- no shit shelock. That's what I was talking about. Please have a look. Just like Holley but better. Wasting all the good of EFI to look old school.
These cars were built by GM with the the 308 engine. Easy job to fit them. Exhaust is the hardest bit. Reeves Garage at Mclaren Vale built these [LJs] and sold them new. 6 litre,, even with a 3.5" crank it is 5850cc with 4 030 bore. No bonnet scoop means it has a basic street style intake. Fool injection is for fools. Always creating issues, never plug and play as they are supposed to be. Yes, I raced one of these for a long period but with a Chev which creates issues with the steering column and rack clearing the startr etc. Modern mini starters would probably fix that but in the 80s they were not available.

You didn't seal the doors to stop moisture warping your door trims
Worst part is the Holley. To many people have trouble with them. Probably should have gone Fitech ln my opinion
It’s the injection version.

Would be better with the Nissan engine the VL Commodore engine had, tuned
Drag car
Beautiful car! Unfortunately just another Cheque book build though….
Everyone's a critic, and you're one of them. Can't you appreciate a car for the quality finish?
I’m guessing you don’t have a cheque book ?
