I’ve kept this one quiet, this is a heavily modified LC GTR that has a stroked 5 litre in it, lots of body fabrication work including custom front and rear ends, and it’s all done to make it look stock.

How does the rebuild process take place?
Wow so that's where they all went to 😂 sweet video 📹 🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🏔🏔🌧🌧
Awesome video 👍 can U send his business contact details thanks 🤠
What an amazing video. Has Cameron got a website. ✌️ Peace.
So all those cars were sourced in Bali? Amazing.
Most come from Jakarta
Great viewing. Can only think that the little stainless strip between the vinyl and the body would be rarer than hen's teeth.
Nah they exist
Very nice. Q. The silver markings on the gauge cluster, does anyone restore that. That area let's a good build down. Thanks for sharing. ✌️ Peace.
I restore them
@@WorthyRestorations- Do you actually redo the silver pin stripe around the gauges.
where did you get the door skins from?
i have rebuilt a few over the years them quarter windows can be tricky at first , the old rare spair rubbers sucked ,were to thick ,good fun putting them back together after strip down and repaint, nice looking gtr rare in that color cobo , mine was one owner full log book history keys original sales documents and photos in color of car new in driveway after delivery 3 month wait on nutmeg color all matching number in lj GTR
Wow !! Better than new, what a lovely job
Wow I was the first owner of this car miss it so much
I hate how all the suppliers of the roof linings want to fold them and mail them so creased up its annoying. The quality of them is bad as well if you put it up against a light you can see through it but the original isn't like that.
What brannd door rubbers or rubber kits do you use? Are they still paint with fitment issues llike decade back or decent to fit
Nah new door rubbers from rare spares are way better now
Love the GTR..it was a nice package and if you wanted it to go better there was some sensible aftermarket goodies that didn't alter the daily driveability of it..😎
How many hours did you spend doing the bits that you mentioned for this car at the start of the video ?
A lot of hours go into restoring the parts prior to fitting
Are all the cars being painted in acrylic or are they not necessarily accurate restorations?
Every car is different it’s up to the owner some are but most are 2 pac it’s just better in my opinion
Don't restore it.... 😢 She's a Survivor... They really are only like that once.... Just keep it clean and tidy and running... Well that's my 2 cents worth anyway...🤟
Awesome stuff, fun times fitting new rubbers and moulds, looking good 👍 👌 😎 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🍻🍻🦘🦘🌧🏔
Glad you enjoyed it
my LJ coupe has a door opening width with a 10mm difference from the driver's side compared to the passenger side. we're they that badly built?
Sound like an accident repair at some stage
funny enough the doors have a 5mm difference in width as well go figure. calibration on the presses that stamped them out apparently needed constant attention
Windows? Bloody Vauxhall crap!
Cool can’t wait to see your restoration videos
legend!!!!!!!
As a retired former advertising exec, this has to be the best ‘commercial’ I’ve seen for an ‘automotive business’ love the 60’s feel, graphics and music… well done sir!
I'll second that comment ❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🏔🌧🍻
Why thank you
You don't need to pull diff out Seal is at the front remove yoke fit seal
I know of one that was stripped back to a bare body and repainted and has been sitting in a shed with a cover on it over 30 years waiting to be put back together.😢 Every time I see it it breaks my heart but he said he’s going to finish it one day 😮
Any chance of seeing the old rego stickers? 36 years ya reckon!
WE HAVE SHEDS IN AUSTRALIA NOT BARNS
Where did you find these near perfect door trims for an E1? I’m trying to find some for my E1 clubby they’re impossible to find!
A beautiful little car and my favourite colour. What an awesome restoration, well done.
Cool 😎 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🦘🦘🏔🏔
Love the sound of your car,I have a ve Clubsport and would love mine to sound like that,do you know what exhaust is on it?
Swapped out??? Very American.
i thought i bought a black ve gts, paid the deposit and the seller pulled out, price was 26.5k rwc and rego, i have a photo of 24.5 cash i call dissapointment, as he re negged on the deal and gabe me my 2k cash deposit back, i had the train ticket for 50 bux to get to melbourne
Great video looks fantastic. I would like to get in touch with Darryn but I can't find his details on line
Give him a call 0423 602 677
Nice but 359 Cubic inch doesn't make it 6.0!It's really 5.88 litres or rounded off makes it 5.9 litres😊
Nice car and Holden V8…. No LS1 to be seen…. Check your title
Was planning a dry sump ls7 with magnum t56 in an lc gtr build. This will be an interesting project. Looking forward to it
Drop the T56, it's called a Magnum or later model Magnum F
A cracking project , looking beautiful
Nice ‘red motor’, lol. Not like any red motor I remember…
🤗 me thinketh a fun red motor for sure. Especially if it's fully balanced goes from idle to the moon and back in a split second te he☺️👍👍
Which it does
@@WorthyRestorations- typing as a 3rd gen engineer with 43yrs trade life I would suggest this reply:- " Nice just the way I like to build them🤗"
great to see old classics in their original condition.
Ahhh the purple people eata, nice
Such a machine
Good work mate 👍🏻👍🏻
So are all these classic,s being reprayed in the original acrylic or are they 2 pak? just curious as they're not original if done in 2 pak
This takes me back to my child hood, mum had a blue LC gtr
I passed on an LC XU-1 with triple Webers on it back in the 70s. It was a beast to drive but the induction roar was intolerably loud. Bought an LJ 2-door instead and went the Chris Milton roller rocker head route with a moderate cam and Cain manifold and 350 Holley, headers etc. Lotta good times! 😊 I love these vids… wish I still had that LJ. It ended up doing over 350,000 kms before the bottom end started knocking.
Why left hand drive?
Awesome to see that not everyone has to be and XU1, Nice that its a GTR cool 😎 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘🍻🍻🍻🍻
I’ve rebuilt 7 GTR’s
@WorthyRestorations- awesome, it's nice to see them restored to what they used to be, congrats you must know these toranchlas😂 inside out, looking forward to more 🍻🍻🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘😎☺️👍
Should of kept weathersheilds on gives it a touch
I’ve kept them
@@WorthyRestorations-my dream to own such a beautiful machine how is it going running well
Love these hsv’s beautiful cars!! Love the gts wheels on this model why are you changing them?
Hi Worthy Thankyou to you and all your Torana and Manaro owners, for being, last of Australians.
Hey mate, cool car. My dad has an August Adelaide build cyan LJ GTR. We have unsuccessfully been trying to find the original number plates for it, and SA reg dept and associated bosses being total knobs about helping us. Any chance this one had an SA plate? We are trying to restore it authentically including the original plate number. We never got the books for it which is a bummer.
