Mate please tell me you removed the old sound deadening/anti condensation coating off the underside off the roof. I can guarantee you will find surface rust under there. Such a shame to go that far and leave that there. Every one I've seen i have found some hidden surprises. Its been there for over 50 years, with how precious these things are getting you'd be nuts not to touch it!

I found light surface rust under mine.
Glad I removed it
