Their music is BRUTAL and full of hate, and they look so damn ANGRY on their pictures, so it's great to see that irl they are actually happy people and they're having loads of fun playing, just makes it even more brutal
the beginning sounds so much cleaner then the album version. I wonder if it's just a different mix or if it's all the compression the cd goes through in mastering
cool to see that a band who've been doing it for such a long time still get so excited when tracking and finishing a song. The amount of respect they all have for their bandmembers is humbling.
Seeing Paul and Erik so happy about the drums and the performance makes me genuinely happy too. They still have fun while creating and recording. Legends.
He actually does a lot. It's probably harder for him to read the lyrics and sing them how whoever wrote them wants them to be sung. It would probably be easier for him to write them
I don't know how these dudes keep going.. I was in a metal band called warrax for almost ,10 years in the 80s and I was completely burnt out by the early 90s.. I can't imagine playing that fast and heavy decade after decade .no way
@MrBlasturbator he doesnt just tune them, he also plays drums! hes a vocalist, plays guitar, drums, keyboards and hes also a producer Erik Rutan is a God!
paul is changin his game up a bit. before EP he was like "im gonna just bang the shit outta the snare every goddamn song" now hes a bit more technical.
@xValbosMacabrex He does, but he hits the snare and cymbal at the same time, and he hits them on the tempo, when the original blast has the bass drum kick on the tempo. He uses some kind of "reversed blast".
@pifa4life ya, thats the only problem that ive noticed with Eriks production in Cannibal Corpse, i can hear the drums fine when Paul does blast beats, but when hes just drumming normally, its pretty hard to hear
I'm such an alternative / blues-rock guitar player I am slowly becoming obsessed with this band I do not know why, this is my fourth passing of watching these guys make this album is fucking awesome I may have to throw my Stratocaster in the closet get a Flying V or something killer!
@Warriorboss14 The Bleeding has always been my favorite from the Chris Barnes era. (Their first singer.) If you want CC with George, go for Evisceration Plague or Bloodthirst.
@Warriorboss14 if youre not familiar with death metal yet you should begin with Evisceration Plague, Kill or Gallery of Suicide, if you already listen to death metal start with Tomb of the Mutilated, Vile or Eaten Back to Life
Their music is BRUTAL and full of hate, and they look so damn ANGRY on their pictures, so it's great to see that irl they are actually happy people and they're having loads of fun playing, just makes it even more brutal
Oscar Stenberg hehe you said “loads” huhuhu
"The computer crashed man I lost it all" lmao
the beginning sounds so much cleaner then the album version. I wonder if it's just a different mix or if it's all the compression the cd goes through in mastering
Rob Scallon whoa rob! hi! congrats on a few hundred away from1000000 subs, and advance congrats for the 1000000th. thx for being an awesome dude
Rob Scallon fuck off, Rob.
hey I'm from 6 years in the future yo
wow, what are you doing here rob
sounds like it’s missing the bass track or guitars aren’t quad tracked to me.
cool to see that a band who've been doing it for such a long time still get so excited when tracking and finishing a song. The amount of respect they all have for their bandmembers is humbling.
Saw Erik fill in on guitar at Saint Andrews in Detroit. He literally fit right in, he powered out every single track. He's ridiculous at guitar
And now, Pat’s left the band and Erik has replaced him.
You have predicted the future, friend.
I always forget how much i love CC until i listen to them again. they are incredible.
Seeing Paul and Erik so happy about the drums and the performance makes me genuinely happy too. They still have fun while creating and recording. Legends.
Paul M is funny as hell in this segment. That transition at 6:25 between him on the kit to him laughing his ass off lol
3:10 I would like an entire series of Erik Rutan driving across America and tuning random instruments, please and thank you.
1:33 CRIMINALLY INSANE BY SLAYER!!!!
Not a big fan of there music but as musicians wow . Pure class
I don't know any other band that uses sheet music. They are absolutely professional.
And they get so much shit because "every record sounds the same"
@@GreifvogelSGE every record is better than the last one they out do themselves every time and blow all the other bands out of the water
@@birkganze2977 Toto does. A lot of bands that use session musicians do.
@@GreifvogelSGE their riffs are insane I bearly learned 2 of their songs “hammer smashed face” and “evisceration plague” and it was not easy
i love just how little corpsegrinder actually does
He actually does a lot. It's probably harder for him to read the lyrics and sing them how whoever wrote them wants them to be sung. It would probably be easier for him to write them
His voice is his work and he kills it in the studio and live
He does a lot just by being the vocalist. Every member has a role to play.
Remember during Vile, he was recording Millennium with Monstrosity at the same time. The guy is an absolute fucking monster.
He is the one who comes up with the vocal rhythms, so that's not a small part.
Thank god for Rutan. His new record is nasty. Thx for keeping it HEAVY af Eric.
I don't know how these dudes keep going..
I was in a metal band called warrax for almost ,10 years in the 80s and I was completely burnt out by the early 90s.. I can't imagine playing that fast and heavy decade after decade
.no way
It's called passion
"Oh, shit! Never sit on the stool, that's a fucking mistake. I got wet ass". Erik Rutan steals the thunder here \m/ Best comedie!
Paul's blast beats are my favorites
once a metal fan, always a metal fan!
Paul is my favorite member of Cannibal Corpse. He is such an awesome drummer and he just continues to get better with age.
There's a guy that goes to my church who looks exactly like Paul lol
Look how happy Paul is when he nailed Carrion :D
I love how happy and excited they are.
3:35 SLAYER!!!
Cali134 raining blood
Of course he is! He's stated before that "Reign in Blood" changed him. Dave's drumming really gave him something to aim for.
You know it's a really hard song to track when your eyebrows are dancing. Damn, these guys are awesome.
cool down to earth artistic guys!!
Awesome. Paul ate his weaties and it showed. Time for Part 3. Hail Cannibal Corpse.
Paul is a fucking beast!!!!
In last run of Paul drumming Skewered From Ear To Eye, before he falls, and he's just hammering on the the Hi-Hat and Snare, watch his eyebrows.
Love these guys!
"Hey dude man, the computer crashed man"
look how happy he is for doing carrion one take!!!! xoaxoaxoaxoa
Paul really rocks!!!!
Easily my favourite Corpse album.
@MrBlasturbator
he doesnt just tune them, he also plays drums!
hes a vocalist, plays guitar, drums, keyboards and hes also a producer
Erik Rutan is a God!
And he's replaced Pat now, sadly.
"Paul goes with the click, like peanut butter goes with jelly." LoL. Pauls the man. Just seen Corpse in Columbus 2 weeks ago.......awesome.
Eric wearing an Eagles shirt. I too am wearing an Eagles shirt.
WEST COAST EAGLES
2018 PREMIERS
"Paul beserp.......pffff" I could not say it ten times. I will see Cannibal Corpse again soon. Fuck yeah \m/ Can't get enough of these
1:30 SLAAAAAYYERRRR!!!!!
Paul was warming up to Criminally Insane by Slayer EPIC!!
1:23 awesome death metal shirt
they work so well together
hahahahahaha
"oh shit"
"what what wat what!"
"NEVER SIT ON A STOOL"
lol
eric is fucking hilarious
"You had your wheaties this morning?"
lol XD
Nice, I love the album.
Paul should do some sessions with Gene Hoglan, won't be concentrating on his gear so much but rather his technique
Showtime Shawhei Otahni!? He can literally do ANYTHING 🙌
Erik Rutan:"That was solid!".
Hell yeah it was!!!!
A fellow McCracken
(1:33) Paul drummin' 'Criminally Insane' by Slayer?... lol
Fuckin' awesome!
it's "skewered from ear to eye", the song from the album
There's so much metal in this video... Rutan and CC.
8:30 holy shit look at my man’s focus with the blinking yo what!
Yeeeah Erik Rutan!!!
If you want some info about him, it's Erik Rutan, the Guitarist/Vocalist of Hate Eternal :)
My favourite 2009 albums
LOL the last minute is hilarious :D
Paul Rulz
Need to show this to my ICU Nurses..this is why I'm so good at CPR
Hail...Dethklok fan here as well as Cannibal Corpse. Long live death metal
Paul stepped UP!
Rutan seems to use the "Peanut butter and jelly" analogy a lot. He used it in an interview about Nile and drummers in general too.
if paul thinks going from wooden beaters to the axis hammer beaters was good, he should try the iron cobra beaters!!! they're so light and awesome
Nobody:
Paul's eyebrows during his blastbeats: ^v^v^v^v^v^v^v
at 1:25 when he presses the button he's like "damn that metronome is slow , FASTER FASTER FASTER"
6:08 Bubbles is that you?
"never sit on this stool, it's facking mistace, I got wet ass" xoaxoaxoaxoaxoa
Great guys!! pretty down to earth and humble personalities even though they're globally famous
What does he mean at 1:55 when he says they lay down 'Scratch Guitars'?
recording a demo of the song for the drummer to record to before they record the guitars heard on the record
oh right. thank you! :)
Rough draft
Paul is one of the best ever drummers. No fuckin lessons or formal training. So sick
Great footage.
Lmao I’ve fallen , I can’t get up
Skeeeeewered!
paul is changin his game up a bit. before EP he was like "im gonna just bang the shit outta the snare every goddamn song"
now hes a bit more technical.
5:39 this guy looks like a dwarf
1:33 Paul playing Criminally Insane?
To Decompose, sounds very similar though. Never noticed that before.
It's actually Skewered From Ear to Eye
But the influence is right there of course, from what album o era, or drummer do you suppose Paul learn that kind of beat?
dude i love how there always just fuckin ripped in the studio hahaha
these guys are my favorite people in the world.
@Warriorboss14 The song that made me fall in love with CC was Decency Defied.
I really enjoy grown men say the name of death metal songs.
great!!!!!
Dude is just a cutting machine in human form that chops vegs in nano pieces within minutes
Erik Rutan is a fucking bad ass. He tunes drums too!
@xValbosMacabrex He does, but he hits the snare and cymbal at the same time, and he hits them on the tempo, when the original blast has the bass drum kick on the tempo. He uses some kind of "reversed blast".
@Warriorboss14 My opinion , The Bleeding. My friend suggested id start with that and it went pretty well.
I really need to get back on the drums... this shit kills me
usually, SOME triggering is necessary no matter what. the best drummers in the world all use em to some extent.
@pifa4life
ya, thats the only problem that ive noticed with Eriks production in Cannibal Corpse, i can hear the drums fine when Paul does blast beats, but when hes just drumming normally, its pretty hard to hear
Paul makes the most metal faces when he drums haha
7:38
It's all in the wrists, bitches!!
Me and the drummer have the same birthday Sept 8th
I'm such an alternative / blues-rock guitar player I am slowly becoming obsessed with this band I do not know why, this is my fourth passing of watching these guys make this album is fucking awesome I may have to throw my Stratocaster in the closet get a Flying V or something killer!
Strats adapt to metal quite well. I’ve been playing all my stuff on one for the last two years.
7:38 It's All In The Wrists Bitches!!
probably because paul is a really big fan of slayer
@Warriorboss14 The Bleeding has always been my favorite from the Chris Barnes era. (Their first singer.) If you want CC with George, go for Evisceration Plague or Bloodthirst.
Erik fucking Rutan the bringer of storms!
"He's in the click like fuckin peanut butter and jelly"
Sweat absorber
@Warriorboss14
if youre not familiar with death metal yet you should begin with Evisceration Plague, Kill or Gallery of Suicide, if you already listen to death metal start with Tomb of the Mutilated, Vile or Eaten Back to Life
I fucking love Eviseration Plague
@Hellerium Thats what blast beats at 200 bpm do to ya :P
5:16 brutal drumming face.
6:20 EPIC HAPPY FACE!
Computer crashed , we lost it all LOL
