Today is Father's day in Australia... I bought a waffle maker for my husband and today made my first batch of waffles ever... they were Belgian...and we had them with homemade Toblerone chocolate sauce and strawberries - a big hit! Your recipe looks amazing... might have to try them out one day too!

This is great! It got me thinking... I bet you could use Bisquick as called for on the box recipe for waffles and then simply add in the same amount of cocoa and food coloring as this recipe. Haven't tried that out yet (so no promises about that!), but I think I'm going to give it a go very soon and find out!

Ingredients-
Flour-2 cups
Baking powder-2 tsp
Baking soda-2 tsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Egg-3
Brown sugar-1/4 cup
Melted butter-4 tbsp
Buttermilk-2 cups
Red food color-1 tbsp
Cocoa-1.5 tbsp
Tyyy
Just made bit added vanilla flavor and these were delicious, hubby and son couldn’t get enough
