Cheng Style BaGuaZhang 8 Elbows Form with combat applications.

5th generation Master LiuMenGeng illustrates some of the finer points of the 8 Elbows of the 8 Fists, Palms and Elbows BaGuaZhang form.
According to Liu Shrfu the 8 Elbows are the most combat applicable of the three sets... though I think he secretly likes Guan the best :)

It's an interesting version of the set for sure. Liu Mengeng was a wildly creative master. He was a scholar and combined his philosophical studies with his Bagua in some unique ways. As the 5th Generation Banner Holder under the LiuBin branch of the Cheng family it was his prerogative to do that. I haven't seem a Five Element version of the 8 Palms, Fists and Elbows anywhere else. My Shifu, Ni Rouhua is a 6th Generation Cheng. His version of the same form is vastly different. It consists of 6 sets. Palms, Fists, Elbows, Shang Pan (High Stance), Zhong Pan (Middle Stance) and Xia Pan (Low Stance). I don't have a great video of that form. Once of these days I'll film myself doing it and post it. I'm curious how your set differs.

@flyingtortoisekungfu6020 liubin lineage as well through Yang Guo Tai and my teach Josh Crossley. Our form circles, has some insert steps and more wrapping and twisting. My notes were lost in a move for all my baguazhang. Would have to hit up my teacher his martail brother to get the name list again
