This has just moved to the top of my wishlist. Now I just need to wait for that special you showed on the website to come around again.
I hope you haven’t done that yet. Got two of these, constantly drop out. The yellow LED starts blinking every time I touch the switch, and the app says phone “dark”. Diagnostics instructions is a joke and I am switching back to my trusty mechanical switch. All my house is smart, no place for this dumb thing here.

what happens if one of the lights in the group of 4 is a 3-way switch that can be controlled from another location? is there a terminal for that extra wire on the LIFX switch?
Lifx switches don't support standard 2 way wiring, but their recent update allows a switch in another location control another switch, enabling 2 way switching.
The 4 way switch can only be all in the same group, which makes schedules a joke unless you want all 4 lts to go on and off at the same time
understood it can't dim traditional light (non-smart light) on the switch itself. How about if we can dim traditional light via the app (Lifx app or Homekit) while the light is wired to the Lifx switch?

If there is no physical dimmer on the unit, can i still dim my lights through the LIFX app?
Trying to setup a scene using one of the switches with all dumb lights, but it doesn't seem that it's able to, have you got the same issue?

No build in dimmer is a major deal breaker for me.
Is the delay only when you use LIFX wireless bulbs? What about the wired regular bulbs?
Regular wired bulbs don’t have a delay

Australia uses 230v 50-60hz so yes

Your videos are quite excellent! Thank you. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with LIFX bulbs however. When they remain “adopted” they are amazing. However the lights continuously disconnect from the app, the cloud etc…. Multiple times throughout each day. I have no such issue with any other bulb by Hue, Kasa, WYZE etc….. i have invested just over 3500 USD in bulbs and am left with absolutely the most frustrating lighting experience ever. Buyer be ware.

Just adding to my comment below....... I bought Ctec smart switches only to realise later that they don't work with HomeKit, only Siri. I was misled by the picture on the website of a picture showing it was compatible with Alexa, Google and HomeKit. My other beef about them is the fact that the switch is GREEN when off, and BLUE when on. Who the hell made that decision? Surely they could have be GREEN when on instead, and is red not an option in the smart switch world.
When no internet was available were you able to turn on hardwired dumb lights with the switch?
Yes - hardwired dumblights can be switched without internet.

@@pedroperez0292 someone else mentioned in the responses that there is no lag with dumb-globes, just if you are trying to control their smart globes using this smart switch

I'm really struggling to find HomeKit switches but even if these had HomeKit capability, the deal breaker for me is the fact the light on the switch doesn't indicate which light is on. If you have 3 lights sets in one room, as I do in the kitchen, I'd would never remember which switch is for which light, and I can't begin to tell you what flack I'd be getting from my partner. This is a major error in my opinion. What the hell do the makers think when they design these things. I'm amazed and disappointed yet again. As for the promise of things to come....... don't hold your breath. Thanks for posting this review.

Reaffirmed the concerns I had with this
I’m in a rental, so the permanent install part doesn’t appeal to me. The design looks a little too fancy (and expensive) but the software isn’t up to it (especially for a native solution).
The internet requirement and lag sounds annoying. Lack of visual feedback in perplexing and I don’t need to pay for the relays.
I just want a remote style control. With brightness, hue slider and scene shortcut controls.
(Much like what you can easily find with non smart led strip controllers from China)
Perhaps with 4 fixture or fixture group selector buttons.
That can control a range of smart devices if you want it to..
That isn’t a million dollars…. 😅
Something a housemate or guest can intuitively use.
“I want the lights to be red and blue”
Or “warm white”
“Dim them a bit”
And just hit the appropriate buttons or slide things
It’s almost looking like I’d be better off attaching a raspberry Pi to the wall of my house or an old phone or something - but that feels ridiculous

They don't require internet, they require a router to communicate. There's a difference.
Handy and overpriced, and since they updated the app, it just made it even more complicated.
Waste of time and money. Offline all the time.
