Anthony Davis for Wendell Carter jr
Wendell is underrated as hell on offense and defense he would be a good get
To bad he's not on the market
If he could stay healthy.
@raymondtuckerjr1886 I don't think anyone's getting played. This is just entertainment nobody is losing out on anything.
And has a "friendly" contract which decreases.
I feel like I’m in crazy town. He’s literally exactly what we want and he consolidates two roster sports, he’s not injury prone, he’s on a cheap contract, he’s young.. AND he’s better than both of our current “bigs.” Like what are we even doing here? lol!
He is not a great reminder so he is not actually the best option
@@LN-LiferDo you mean rebounder?
He’s also injury prone so you can’t blame em if the Magics are demanding 2 FRP’s. Just cause we NEED change doesn’t mean we should jump at every opportunity. Food for thought
He's not a free agent. If they wanted to trade him cheap they would have they want to keep him.
@@RK-ck6pl is that why they have 3 bigs and paid the other 2? What?
The fact that we’ve been talking every other player this whole time while not understanding that Wendell is the best option BY FAR truly is concerning to me.
Wendell Carter is really good. I have wanted him more than any of the free agents
To bad he's not on the Market
@@Flush0000 the Magic have resigned both of their bigs and have 3 other 4’s under contract as well. They have a position crunch there.
@@DJJE928 By Farrrrrr
@@DJJE928 Yes bit magic have also said that they want to hold on to Wendell Carter meaning he's not on the trading block and in order to land him you would definitely have to over pay
For the 2023-2024 NBA season, Wendell Carter Jr. held opponents to shooting 4.3 percentage points worse than expected at the rim. This defensive effort places him among the top quarter percentile in the league
Well the moment a player becomes an actual trade target for the Lakers is the moment you know he's not going to be a Laker
It’s been like that for years
Yep if felt like as soon as the Lakers showed interest the Magic said he’s off the market. Watch he gets traded anyway just like how the Bulls said AC wouldn’t be traded when the Lakers showed interest, but a month later traded him to OKC.
When they wouldn't trade Austin for Dejounte I knew it was a wrap for Lakers they not trying to get better Dejounte was a big upgrade over Reaves
Exactly I’m taking him over AR anyday
This summer:
Lakers are looking at Mary Poppins.
Next day: whoa! Mary has been signed by Spurs.
Lakers are considering Fonzie.
Next day: Fonzie has taken a contract with Sacramento.
Lakers are interested in Stewie.
Next day: Stewie has chosen to go to Washington... 😂
🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
I’ve been reading on rumors of Lakers interest in Wendell Carter Jr yesterday. Hopefully this is true because the Lakers need a viable Center
If Lakers really want the best out of AD imagine how good he'd play with a Bam type player next to him...Carter Jr would be perfect for the money.
Exactly why the Lakers should have gotten a center in previous years because that has literally been their number one freaking need the entire time
Front office refuses to do it. Had two great centers in Howard and McGee who also had minimal contracts and let them go for nothing in return.
AR is not going to be better than he was. I’m being brutally honest but his improvement will be MARGINAL.
Big facts bro is 26 turning 27 only his 3rd or 4th season. Buddy has no upside
Deep in my heart, I think management is looking for AR to take a huge leap on both ends of the court. This upcoming season will be his😮 last with LA, if he doesnt' show big time improvement. JMO
@@IsaacClark23
Another clueless fool who thinks they can predict the future.
On boston reaves would be the 5th maybe 6th option. On the lakers you dudes want him to be the 3rd, thats the problem right there.
Say it again please should have been shipped him out in a trade since everyone wants him
Couldn't agree more. Look at the last 2 Champs. He wouldn't even start on denver or boston. Probably wouldn't even have played but 10 minutes I'd he was lucky.
Murray ,,,dam
finally someone sees it too. LOTS OF LAKER FANS keep on overrating AR. this team will be another play-in team as long as they have Dlo and AR as the 3rd/4th option.
@@multivitamins7409 But that's what Laker fans do, hence why they tend to have some of the worst trade proposal ideas. Any player on the Lakers is immensely talented and a portion of the fan base will be astonished that a team wouldn't trade two stars and seven first round picks for Austin Reaves.
Patience will be worth it
No it won’t
@@MrPalpGamingthen why you here?
We can only hope it’s not lookin good tho 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Didnt ya say this at the deadline?
Wendell Carter would definitely Work 🔥🔥
As long as AD is at the Four that is all that matters.
Im sorry Trevor but that talk about the new cba making trades harder is bs. We’ve see great trades THIS summer. The lakers FO is just incompetent.
Love the addition of segment titles Trevor!
Wendell Carter and Markelle Fultz or Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton + Gary Trent Jr would make us a championship contender for sure.
If they trade to free up some roster spots, go after Trent Jr., Tyus Jones have a mentally to be a bench impacted player along with Gordon Hayward for extra needed points.
Trent boy is already nearing a finalization for the bucks
Two year window for lakers to win a ship w bron
A huge superstar will want to join AD post LBJ.
Yes get this man asap please
He's not on the Market
It’s not happening.
@@Viper_75th_RR stop it it will
Mannn listen to offers for AR too not just for Dlo, Rui, and Gabe nbs AR is not untouchable bro is not superstar talent
If a certain player is being reported as a Lakers target, then that guarantees it's not going to happen. The real deal will be like an RKO, outta nowhere.
Lebron wanting the no trade clause really makes me think. That clause alone should make Rob worried and try to improve this roster.
Rob watching AD and BAM : "damn imagine if we had another pg?!"
WC Jr would be a sick pick up for sure
I’m so damn sick of hearing about who the Lakers are “interested” in…😂😂😂
I’m just here for the comments really lol Trevor ain’t talking bout shit at all 😂
All this apron system does is give an overwhelming advantage to teams like Boston that already blew everything to build a super team.
We neeeddddddd...him🔥
I don’t see how the Lakers get better without trading a key piece away 😞 this year is looking very doubtful
I agree unless a team notice that C Wood wasn't used right last season he was a catch and shoot big man I don't like that
lol how do we have “key pieces” after being the 7th seed 2 years in a row?
You can trade a “key piece” if you get better
@MajinVegito100 they were in a conference finals in the first of the 2 years and lost to the same team in the first the following year. Lakers are a championship level team that need to just add a big who can be a speed bump to jokic. They don't need to lose key players. Just health and a minor pick up
@MajinVegito100 This comment is stupid. That's like saying Wemby isn't a key piece because the Spurs didn't make the playoofs
@@Flush0000 does trading wemby at all make the team better? Did you read what I said? If it makes the team better then you make the trade if you’re making a lateral move you don’t. American literacy rates are in the bin
Can we see an ideal rest of offseason?
I think they recently did an episode on that
Wendell Carter is only 6'10" , not tall enough to compete against other centers
6'8.75" to be exact. Lakers are fooling themselves if they think this dude can actually be the answer to their starting center.
This was why missing out on Valanciunas stung so badly. He would have given AD the opportunity to attack the perimeter more aggressively. Without a true beefy center, AD was tethered to the rim too often.
I’d absolutely love Carter Jr next to AD at the 5. I doubt Rob will make it happen
We have C Wood who could be a huge help with shooting. Though idk what his attitude is looking like these days with us. I'd love Wendell to come to LA tho. such a huge move for us
I know Steven Adams is coming off injury but do you think trading for him when his value is down is a good option. Perhaps Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, and two seconds? This opens up a roster spot and gives the lakers a big body who is a good defender and elite rebounder to throw into the rotation
We are the In Season Tournament Champions🏆 The League needs to show our team some respect 🙏
Patience everyone I know Rob will make the right move same way how last year we were patient with that huge trade they will get something done
The Lakers can't rebuild until Le GM is gone.
Lakers interest with players are always interesting 😅😅.
Is WCJ even realistically available for Gabe and Cam and a first? The Magic are trying to win and this trade DEFINITELY makes them worse.
No
Wendell Carter is the kind of player, that has to play, not good off the bench. Look at his OKC days, he played a lot and put up decent numbers.
Wendell Carter never played for the Thunder
Crazy how we had a perfect formula for multiple championships, won one, and then blew everything up. Been trying to recover ever since. Bad injury luck at times, but mostly bad trades/contracts, scapegoating coaches, poor roster construction.
Bruh dwight and demarcus are both sitting out there. They are exactly the types of big we need. Go get them for the minimum or both for the mid level.
Dwight has proven to work with a.d we need rim protection and lob threat.
@@DSDGFYHJ154 Rhat was 4 years ago it's over
Come on trevor,,, dont add new names.. were just getting more frustrated...
I am not frustrated the way things have gone, I am happy the way things have gone
Trade Lebron for Bam
Wendell Carter actually played good defense on AD in highlights.
Trust the team you have ya always want to bring somebody in and when it don't work ya upset
The problem is LeBron is a power forward but AD can thrive alongside centers
Shh you aren't supposed to say the quiet part out loud
Let’s go
JJ has spoken highly about multiple players on this roster but he hasn’t really said anything about DLo.
Get AD a solid center....
Why Orlando trade for hurt, underachieving guard Gabe Vincent. Again, as Laker fan you not going trade basic trash for quality. Orlando is not fools!
I can see Rob feeling like he can wait until the mid-season trade deadline for a center. The market will look different then.
Austin is 26 there is no upside he might get a little stronger and marginally better but that's it he will never make all anything best he could be is 6th man of the year
Wendell Carter, has expirience as a
Bonafide center, that rarely makes
Mistakes. His always, were he is
Supposed to be. Thats what i like
About him. The problem? With him
Is he often gets injured.
I actually think CarterJr would be a great pick up for the Lakers, but it all depends on what they give up to get him
💜💛 ...do something
Trade Dlo, Gabe, Cam, 1st for Grant/Kuz/Cam
Trade JHS, Wood, 1st for Kessler
Sign: Gary Trent & Dinwiddie
PG: Reaves/Dinwiddie/Bronny
SG: GT/Christie/Knecht
SF: Grant/Vando/Lewis
PF: Bron/Rui
C: AD/Kessler/Hayes
Lakers nation
I met Wendell a few times he said he would love to play with lebron but realistically I don’t think magic would trade him. Lakers should sign tacko fall a bunch of tall 7 footers
Do u work for lakers or other teams?
Wendell Carter = zero chance. Overdosing on copium.
Why aren’t the lakers looking for another center which they really need, just trade bronny for a center
Dwight Howard stats were identical to his 20-21 year his last year with us.
They ain't winning 47 or 50 games with Austin and Maxie starting
Great, someone else likes him too. I wanted the Lakers to go after him a few months ago. He ain’t no slouch and plays Jokic well too.
Walker Kessler or just run it back
Look guys, this is my opinion: Last year, without ham (which was awful), we are winning more 5 to 10 games. If that is happening, we are maybe...5th, 4th seed. With Vando healthy we are a completely different team. We really need a decent big, but we are not that far. Rui was bad during the playoffs, but he proved already he can be useful. DLO is a good playmaker and good shooter. He really need people to stop doubting him for the offseason. That is all mental...and unfortunately we live in a the social media era. Of course we need a perfect season, add a big and we are not that far...Cheers and Lets go LAKERS
Running back the same team with the same coach would have been a mistake.
Running back the same team with a new coaching staff (and another big) could be all the change that’s needed.
That could be a good evaluation opportunity for the front office.
Maybe Reddick better utilizes certain players and aspects of this roster. Maybe/ Maybe not.
There is value in patience (for that reason).
You have made about 20 videos about nothing, the lakers haven’t done anything so what are we talking about
I realized that for sport channels to keep content going, they have to do a lot of gaslighting the fans.
This discussion was based off an article from Sean Deveney?? WHO???
And I don't know if he actually said "the Lakers have interest" or "the Lakers SHOULD/COULD have interest" in Wendall Carter Jr.
Which either way would be equivalent to me saying it. 😒
And the biggest factor is SOB PA-STINKA is TRASH. He will not find any deal to improve the team. A deal would have to fall into his lap, like before.
PLEASE START BE HONEST AND STOP GIVING FAKE HOPE.
Trade AUSTIN REAVES, for KESSLER.
Or MILES BRIDGES.
Adding another problem to your problems does not solve your problems. The heaux at the top has to be the first problem to be fixed.
I know we need wings but big body center is our top priority. I think we should trade both first round picks protected and Rui and gave Vincent Christian woods for Deandre Ayton
I would love the lakers to rebuild cause we ain't winning sht.
The problem is Jeanie, the Rambi and Rob are incompetent as fk.
Fan since 1984 am OK with a rebuild like now
We should add castleten sign a few players from summer league
From atl to lax… TY is coming. See you soon!
Stop asking for a rebuild…yall can’t handle it…we aren’t terrible now….could be a lot worse and yall losing it already
Hinson and Knecht are the lone bright spots on this team. The rest are just horrendous.
Colin Castleton is a gem as well.
@@kingra_lwCastleton sucks
Don’t forget about Bronny. He played good last game.
Caselton let small guys box him out @@kingra_lw
Nope@@kingra_lw
Wendell would fit great at the 4 for us
Trevor we've been saying this for 3 years now. U said A.D was best at the 5 but we know he don't wanna play the 5 and is better defensively at the 4 helping on 5s
I like Wendell Carter he can be Myles Turner when healthy he would be a solid pick and Darius Garland
They better get a big, Get rid of that "FO" ASAP.
Ad don't need to shoot three he a big man stay mid range
Not sure I love the 'Control Body Odor ANYWHERE' right next to 'potential rebuild with Trevor Lane.' I hope that's not the segue!
I like the current roster lakers have
I, 1000% disagree that Lakers are closer to a championship than bottoming out. Literally 2 trades is all it takes to get to the bottom. There are no REASLISTIC 2 trades that gets the Lakers a championship.
Why in the world would a team trying to compete like Orlando want Gabe Vincent and Cam Reddish? The Lakers would definitely need to send both 1sts to get Orlando to do this.
37% is just okay for a center and 3 attempts is low volume??? This magic 3 & D center that lights up from 3 and offers great rim protection describes like 3 dudes league wide lmaoo those sound like good center numbers to me
Why is there a question mark? This isn't a question, it's a fact. There are concerns, as there have been since the pelinka broke up the bubble champs
AD had maybe his best year last year. Lbj is not a sf anymore. If you find a real center he's still just going to be a backup who plays about 15 minutes a game. So if you trade for 1 you better make sure he's a perfect f****** fit.
It’s not that serious to have that same roster. Just develop in house. Focus on your guys and make them better. Do not be upset about your roster. When they win, keep that same energy. I believe in this team
All they need is a center right now.
@@CharlesSwentey I completely agree. If they can get another center with there cap situation and such, and if other teams are willing to play ball with them, then they’ll be good
The lakers are going to sign a center like Mo. It'll happen sometime during half of the season too. Lol.
So we gave up on Gary Trent Jr? Or is that still a target too? 🤔
Wendell Carter who? That's just bad who are these no name players smh trevor you're just making trades to make trades at this point smh
Jalen Brunson just left over $100 million on the table to help the Knicks win. But LeBron cut the Lakers enough slack to get under that 2nd apron and it's not like he's a lot of money during his career. So even.
