I can feel the difference miles away. It's refreshing to hear the communication with the media after practices and games. He actually answers the questions clearly and directly. Even allows the media to go back and forth with mini discussions.
It’s preseason and they’re 0-2 relax. People excited about Ham at first too. Fans really just eat up everything. They maybe better maybe not
I didn't see any difference. They are 0-2 in pre season just like last season.
The movement and fluidity of the offensive sets are so refreshing to see. The type of offense probably would've helped against the nuggets. The stagnate top of the key offense was, at times, so annoying to watch. I don't see the Lakers getting swept if they had a better offensive scheme.
Hit the nail on the head. And this is just the second preseason game. They'll get better and better and better
The thing about the Nuggets Series last season, they were all close games except Game 1, if they had JJ Reddick as a coach instead of Ham, it'll still be 5 games but Lakers advance to the Second Round to face The Wolves
They wouldn't have gotten swept had d-lo not completely disappeared in that series.
We would have won if we would have retained Dwight Howard, if nothing other than to guard the Joker, just on Denver series he could sit the rest of the entire season, but we would have beat Denver had we had him, the only defensive player that I know of that actually gets in the Joker's head, really bad go back and look at the Bubble Series Western Conference finals and you will see how bad Dwight Howard affected the Joker mentally, by the physical and mental torture Dwight was giving him !!!! Dwight was the Difference Maker

It's refreshing to have a coach who has played at a high level and knows what he's doing. What is left is result. If he begins to get results, the sky is the limit but if he fails to get results, all these positivity will dissolve quickly. Early signs are encouraging though!
Im giving Redick 3 years before I judge.. We need to be patient with this prodigy!!
Nothings gonna question his X’s and O’s intellect. But coaching is much more than that. But we will see how well of a leader of MEN he is.

Not a lot of talk about it but when I see the bench and see Nate McMillan and Scott Brooks on sidelines coaching as well I feel confidence
As a life long basketball fan Lakers have been my favorite team its exciting to see if JJ (a former player who hasnt coached b4) can make this thing work and not if he can bring a chip but just to see if they can compete at that highest level

To all the people complaining about them being 0-2 in the pre season: remind me, how much exactly does a team's preseason record count? That's right, it doesn't matter at all. When you're watching teams play their third string players for the whole second half of games, then it's clear the coaches could care less who actually wins the game. If the coaches don't care then neither should you.
0-6 in the preseason with the arp old roster who sucked that year.

I am excited for JJ... There's going to be growing pains along, but if he can show the capacity to LEARN and not keep making the same mistakes which was my biggest problem with Ham.
Man I don’t see a championship team tho I feel like the starting 5 is good but they need to trade AR or DLO for an upgrade that doesn’t get beat off the dribble constantly.. still see a play in team.

Good to see Rui rebounding, Gabe looks healthy, AR needs to dust off the rust on his 3's, Cam may be a usable 3 n D, AD working the 3 back into his game, same 'ol fouling tho hustling Hayes and Bron is still King of the court.

Many of us predicted this even before JJ was hired... I'm not one bit surprised.... It was obvious that JJ would be a monumental upgrade over Ham but let's temper our expectations with the roster as constituted. I'm terribly disappointed with our big men behind AD. Hayes, Castleton are not going to cut it and are going to be a liability on the floor. Moreover, Vando and Wood's return is not definitively projected. The defense and rebounding still looks suspect....
We need to make a trade for a backup big man and Vando's return to full health SOON is of paramount importance for this team.
They can't afford a swoon esp in the 1st half of this season given their brutal second half schedule....
For once I'd start expecting this team to be aiming to be in the top 5 in the West ... That should be the 1st goal... Get out of the damn play in...

I don't think I've learned much tbh I think JJ can get us up another gear offensively which can win us more games than last season but ultimately we just don't have that same potential on the other end. One of Dlo or Rui needs to be moved for better fitting pieces.

Don’t overreact either way, to the final score OR the first half. It’s a preseason game against one team - the suns without their starting center. It is against teams with big centers that the lakers will be exposed.

Honestly Trev I'd like to see Dk in the starting lineup with Ar15 Bron Ad And Rui, then have Dlo Gabe max cam reddish an Hayes run the 2nd unit an still give dlo 30+ mins. That would give us offense and defense on both units

On the point of trading Rui I think it’s the right move to make. He’s a very solid player and I like his personality, but we don’t need his offense tbh and his defense/rebounding needs to improve significantly for him to be a positive factor. I think he can do it, but if not I say we let him go

Id bench AR over Dlo because I feel he would handle it better and thrive. I believe that benching Dlo would likely affect him psychologically and therefore affect his production. We need to keep his trade value up so we can have the option of trading him around the deadline
