Best Cold Steel salesman ever. Almost talked me into buying 6 Tomahawks. I like them, but I will be happy with 1 each of my favorites. I'm running out of room as it is.
I own several tomahawks & my go to workhorse is my CRKT Woods Chogan T Hawk , I put a 20 degree cutting edge on it along with a paracord rap at the top just under the beard of it in case I over shoot when I’m splitting wood . I roughed up a inter tube from a Bicycle & cut off pieces from a quarter of a inch , all the way to 1 & 1/2 inch & kept rapping them over themself at the end of the handle to create kinda a baseball bat knob so when I swing it it doesn’t slip out of my hands , then I use some of the left over inter tube over 1/3 the handle , i roughed that up also , it gives me a sticky grip even when my hands get sweaty & the knob helps me from breaking the handle when I throw it at a target if I under throw it & it hits handle end first , kinda helps correct my impact , I plan to get one of these weeping heart tomahawks just for light duty & for a weapon just because there very light like one pound light , that’s plenty for fighting at CQC if need be .
I just bought mine yesterday! I was wondering if you could do a videos on how to use it in a martial arts/ fighting way. Great video! You gained a subscriber!
Great breakdown and demos! This seems like a dedicated combat hawk, rather than a multi function utility-combat hawk. Light and thin material for utility at best, and not really for thick logs or branches.
On some of your throws you seem to snap your hand back on release, like you’re trying to increase the spin speed. What’s the purpose? It seems more powerful but difficult. I’ve always tried to limit rotation on throws
If you use one rotation has a base, how do account for changes in distance? Change the speed of the rotation. Either slower or faster. There is also no spin throwing which is another style I use but I prefer spin for knives and hawks
@@RichardLeeLeefist True that. The chopping is impressive. But when being close, I have more faith in a sharp folder or fixed blade. Aim and press/slice= end. No power movements needed.
@@RichardLeeLeefist True on the spetsnaz shovel. Much better balance, higher speed. Tomahawks are overrated as a weapon. Probably due to historical sentiments. The spade was being used by several countries in the trenches. Not just the Russians alone as the name might apply for some.

I really enjoy throwing my weeping heart tomahawk . It hits like Mike Tyson!
How does this Weeping Heart Hawk compare to the Cold Steel Trench Hawk?
Thinner but better handling
@@RichardLeeLeefist Thanks, I'll get the Weeping Heart. :)
the weeping heart hawk belonged to the comanches the third best weapon is the lance 1st is the bow 2nd is the hawk then the lance and then the knife
My first weapon would be an M-4 or an AK

@@RichardLeeLeefist oh... right... I’ve generally just moved a step closer or further on account of my lack of skill. How the hell do you no spin ?
Look up Adam celadin and no spin throwing. Its hard
Whered you go man!
My warhammer is my first choice as well you got good taste
Sweet vid!
4:45 that's the problem with these thin bladed axes/tomahawks. they get stuck.
Yes! Better have other weapons handy

Much rather have my kukri or magnum tanto
Really a much better weapon is the spetz shovel over any tomahawk
