A perfect road trip options from Sydney down towards the South Coast. This can be easily done in a day and makes it the perfect day trip from Sydney. So if you are wondering what to do in wollongong then we hope you enjoy this Wollongong Travel Guide.
00:00 Grand Pacific Drive
Less than an hour south of Sydney, Grand Pacific Drive is a scenic coastal drive over the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge.
01:14 Berry NSW
Berry is a country old town located in South Coast NSW, about 2 hours from Sydney. This town has amazing cafés and restaurants along the main street and plenty boutique retail shops that will peek your interest. We’ve been to Berry before on our Jervis Bay trip, we had breakfast at The Garden Cafe. However this time, we got the beef pie and sausage roll from Milkwood Bakery.
7:11 Berry Donut Van
One thing Berry is famous for is definitely the Berry Donut Van. This is a must try snack, quick and easy yet delicious! This van traveled all around Australia before deciding to make Berry their permanent home. Their freshly fried cinnamon donuts are worth it.
09:27 Kiama Blowhole
After Berry, we headed up towards Kiama to show you the famous Kiama Blowhole.
10:30 Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple
Nan Tien temple is a Buddhist temple located in Berkeley, just 10 minutes away from Wollongong. This is the biggest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere. Their architecture and beautiful garden attracts many visitor and it is one of the major tourist attraction in the South Coast of NSW.
And if you are hungry, they do have vegetarian food option at the temple.
13:13 Two Smoking Barrels
18:20 Wollongong Beach
We tried American BBQ smoked meats from 2 Smoking Barrels in Wollongong. Then we walked around Wollongong CBD before finishing our road trip down at Wollongong City beach.

Great shots on the sea cliff bridge guys. I've been to the temple a few times, it's beautiful and chill there. I remember eating there the first time we went, but was a long time ago.
Would love to see you two do more NSW regional eats. I'd recommend the far south coast ( Tathra) for Oysters.

Wow that bridge drive looks super cool, nice choice walking it rather than simply driving across. O I see we are all eating pie this week 😂 thanks for the shout out but i don't know if it's a fair competition 😂 The temple looks cool a bit of a shame y'all missed that vegetarian meal but that BBQ more than makes up for it o man what a feast 😍
Hahaha lets do AU vs NZ pies 😜😝 the temple is same as NZ one that you've been to but we didnt ask for permission to film, kind of last minute trip haha😆
3:55 now that's what I call a pie!
The BBQ looks so delicious😋
Hehee love to try the real BBQ in Texas!!
I went to Nan Tien Temple before-pretty scary looking at Guanyin in the Front Shring
Maria would go bananas shopping in there. Man, I want those ketchup packets.
woah this looks really nice! did you guys also upgrade your camera gear / vlogging skills? It looks so different to your earlier work! :) :)
Thanks 🙏 - we always had this gear :) - usually when we do travel we have a different way of story telling hehe! Glad you enjoyed it!
We love meat but the mushroom and lentil pie is calling my name lol
Peter and Yen are always saying that about NZ pies, that is soooo true ...Pie fight!!! 🤣🤣
im ready to beat peter and yen! surely australia have a pie worthy to fight the new zealanders haha
Next time you come to Wollongong I recommend you try Lee and Me, His Boy Elroy and Lupa Pizza, theyre great!
Thanks! 😬✌️! Noted
Port Kembla and Bombo quarry are not to be missed. Maybe too much for one day.
The Donut Van! Of course you had to order 6 with Helmi there 😂 Huge fan of cinnamon sugar with fried dough. Could definitely inhale a few of those
The best thing ever 😝😝
Great vlog guys ✨😄 can we use public transport to reach those areas mentioned?
Yes but not the best 😞
sydney to Wollongong is easy with train 😀
Wollongong to Berry is 46 min via car, with public transport is about 1 hour 40 mins 😭
10:00 that's so cool! would be great to experiment with shutter speeds and take slow shutter speed photos of the water!
Need zoom in lens since so far away from the fence 😁
If you come to India , each restaurant will have different cuisines from different states , and lot of adventures content you can make for your blogs
Yesss India was on our list to visit, but didnt go well bcoz u know who 😌 Hope you are well & safe Alok, take care there🤗
Loved the video...may I ask what the music was as you were at Wollongong Beach?
You in my life by ed patrick :)
Hungry Monkey is great at Berry and Kiama. The Baby Buddha's are only available at Vesak time ie in May.
Yes last time we went! It wasnt, so this was an absolute sight to see
Hi Nick and Helmi, thanks for the recommendation! Would love to check this out when I’m in Sydney this April, it seems really hard to find a rental car service in Sydney CBD to drive out. Do you have any recommendation?
There are heaps in the city let me link you
www.klook.com/en-AU/car-rentals/?aid=28215 - try using klook usually they have some good pricing. and also for other attractions in Sydney
Oh man NZ vs Australia battle of the pies featuring Peter and Yen. Make it happen!!
I know right!! I think will be fun hahaa
That beef pie looks super! I love the pies in Australia. $7. us a normal pie price now?
Roughly yes $7 with that size. But in the city area is now about $10 & smaller portion. 7eleven & convenient stores are different ofc still below $5 haha
Nice to see you again Helmi, and such a nice place . Please invite me and then you will get lovely chance to have lunch with me 🤪🤪
Hahaa come Alok 😁
Is okay or not travel using railway to Wollongong bcs I see in Maps got railway from Sydney to Wollongong ? Nice trip for u two, I'm from Malaysia
Yes there is train Sydney-Wollongong which you can take. But to go around like Kiama, Nan Tien Temple and Berry, need to drive since no public transport. Thanks so much for watching 😊
If you get the train you will miss everything
@@juliuslean9667 you are right!
Love your channel guys! Really enjoyable. Keep up the awesome work!
Next time you should check out Amigos in Wollongong city - it’s *the* most amazing Mexican food 🌮
Oh and Caesars in Corrimal for chicken schnitty burgers
Someone also told us Amigos! Yummm will try next time 😁
You forgot to bring sambal sauce for the pies
Haha 😂 that is true!
Interesting to hear Helmi admitting herself that she loves sausages…
I like the texture oft he sausage pork toll! Distinct porky taste! Hahaa pork pork! Chor izz zo
That beef pie! It must be a aussie thing but because type of pies don't exist much
Yesss must come here haha
How could the story of the Van donut ??
hahahah Helmi hahahah dropping the donut and kinda saying shhh but didnt hahaha I (Maria) would have said mierda! hahaha
ahah XD yes! cant drop the only donut we bought that day haha
Plz start streaming video with your beautiful voice Helmi❤❤❤... don't give to Nick...🤨🤨🤨
loll nick got better voice than me mine can be really high pitch 😂
@@nickandhelmi 😅🤗
I love a good pie. To be honest, I also really enjoy a mediocre pie or even au bad pie. At the risk of being “unAustralian”, I really don’t like putting tomato sauce on my pie.
Hahah it's okay no tomato sauce as long as those pies from 7eleven/petrol stations. They're pretty good by itself👌🏻😁
Your weird
Cheeky home game for the nix I see
Haha😉😉
