Big, powerful, beat-you-into-submission voices are ten a penny and usually emotionally bankrupt. Madonna's voice is unique and instantly recognisable and she can go from ballads to pop to jazz. She always serves the music rather than doing what most people do which is using the music to showcase their "vocal brilliance".

I’ve been very fortunate to see her, in person all of her live performances except the 1st, ‘Virgin Tour’. From ‘87’s “Who’s That Girl World Tour” forward I’ve seen them all, and she always sings her hits from throughout her record breaking career, some tours a bit more than others, but she doesn’t forget that “we” love to hear it all, old, new and everything in between!
