I think this and Drive Home are the two saddest videos I have ever experienced. Both have a perfect delivery and balance of the music to the visual. Tragic emotion so beautifully captured.
Amen. If this video doesn't evoke a strong emotion then you aren't human. Steve can write a tome like no one else. Seeing this live was profound.
My mom passed away when this was released...unbelievable how healing it is even though it's terribly tragic. I love SW. He just knows.

This song pulls the hurt right out of me. Like raising a stain out of a piece of cloth by getting it hot and steaming it. It hurts to listen to, but afterwards, I feel... cleaner.

Try to let go seems to always fail somehow. It's like a tattoo inside the body's heart and mind. Hidden behind the eyes. Always looking out, but feeling the tug inside as to not see anything. Immobilized in pain, fear and anger. Locked in a fight within oneself. The tide comes in then goes out. I suppose us humans must roll with the tide as well. No wonder we like to stand at its edge letting the waves crash at our feet. To prepare for the next wave. I liked the song and video. Very well done. Struck a chord in me as it's been a rough week of loss and hurt.

I understand your grief, even without knowing its source: this song struck a chord in you as it did in me. Use it as a spur to let this "tattoo" fade away day by day. Always face the tide as it's coming, but don't let the undertow drown you.
