Yea, that's really rough water there fellow. Much smoother and it would be Glass.
Rough Water ?...ha !! You're so funny!
My uncle has owned a bout since college and he told me the best way to take waves and wake is at about a 45 degree angle. Just a little advice! Great videos though
Wings on the boat. Cant beat that!
Had my 16 foot skiff and regretted buying it the first semi rough day when i got soaked, sold it and bought a 20 ft bay boat with a flair and love it.
Kyle Proctor Sorry that happened. Idk about the 16 but the 17 handles chop amazingly for the size. Even in 2-3 foot chop offshore it performed great for us. We never get wet in it. Also a 20ft bay boat is in a completely different class that a 16ft skiff. So you can’t really compare the two. Lol
About 30K differenxe lmao not even the same book
Looked like a good day to me! Glad y'all beat that weather back in. It looked like it was getting darker and darker. It is always hard to tell in a video though, lol.
BigBearFishing Yep! It was getting darker and more windy as the day went on. Lol we made it back just in time
Couple of Adventures Awesome!
Nice new boat my friend 😎 🤘
Definition of a clown
“Trolling at 1K rpm” can be drastically different things if you are going WITH the wind and current compared to AGAINST the wind and fighting current.
You will find that a decent GPS/fish finder will make a world of difference for understanding what trolling speeds work best, over a specific structure, with a specific lure type.
Carful pushing off dock before boat is running. Sucks if you have dead battery or whatever and the dock is 15 feet away
Nice! I should have went out yesterday....I let the weather deter me :( Is that a Mercury 60? I have one on my Whaler 150 Montauk. It sips gas...had it a few miles offshore last week fishing and used less than 3 gallons of gas! Enjoy your new boat!!!
Whaler Tales Thanks! I honestly wanted the Montauk 150 or 170 so badly but it was out of my price range. Yes it’s a Merc 60 Lol that’s awesome! I might try to take my boat nearshore fishing sometime if it’s calm. it handles chop surprisingly well! I’m sure I’ll see you out there sometime!
I have the 150ss whaler with the 60 as well. Your right it sips gas. I have the 18g tank. I had my family tubing behind the boat for nearly a full week on a single tank.
What I dont like about the whaler though is that it's not a good fishing boat. No real good way to mount a trolling motor and no live well.
"Quick steer the boat"... you realize you're in the middle of a huge channel. What a rookie
Rookies these days
U should put in a t top and then upper rod holders out 15 ft outriggers and go out in deep blue on calm days that boat is not design for rough water its basically flat bottom it's a back breaker need v for smother ride U could put rod holders in rear deck by gunnels then your lines won't tangle as much JT 🇺🇸🎣🐟
Can we troll...? The Captain gives the orders, "in a few minutes we ARE trolling".
I've been looking at boats and this one looks pretty much like something in my range.
Would you recommend this boat? Are you still happy with it? Any buyers remorse?
Russell Hajek I’ve used it almost every weekend since I bought it all types of water around Florida. There are small things here and there I don’t like but overall I’ve really enjoyed it so far
What is the total package width including the trailer?
wow
That's rough because u r on a flat bottom boat like riding on piece of plywood very stable any thing more than a ripple breaks your back v hull cuts through the waves but it rolls a lot not as stable can't have both from what my buddy tells me with his 23 ft world cat-twin 115 Yamaha you can have both worlds stable and easy riding JT
I loved the part where we listened to you eating chicken for like 5minutes
That’s the best part. You’re welcome
Nice rig though....and just to let you know....that water is not rough.
yup, it's not rough.
coolio
What’s topspeed and what motor
60hp Mercury 4 stroke and tops out at 34.8 mph
you still own the boat
Eloy Reyna Yeah clock on my channel and look at my latest video I went to the sandbar 5 days ago. I’ve owned the boat for like 2 years now
