    I have a 2016 Pro Skiff 17 and she's been a great boat. I also go nuts with the Boeshield T-9 everywhere I can. Mechanic recommended something less waxy inside the Engine cowling. I only fish saltwater here in FL so it's a constant battle with sun and salt water. I installed some blue LED interior lights and Green underwater lights on the transom. Great video...

      For sure on the boeshield on the engine. Thats all I use man. Engine will look brand new for years. Appreciate you watching the video

    Good video. I was thinking of buying one with the 75hp. Do you wish you got the 75hp instead of the 60hp?

      Honestly I like the 60. Better fuel consumption. However the 75 will give you some more power if you need it

    Hey. Can you actually fit an anchor in the front anchor compartment? I have a pretty small anchor as it is and it does not want to fit in there

    • @H.A.B.Outdoors
      @H.A.B.Outdoors  2 года назад

      I don’t believe they actually thought about that. But any anchor I’ve ever owned will not fit in that particular compartment.

    I wasn't aware that a flip-flop seat back was available for the Orion cooler seat.

      I've been asked a few times about this seat option. I guess they're not making it so common anymore

    Did u cavitate on the hole shot before u put the whale tail on? I have the same boat. I’ll hit u back later w/ pics of what I added to mine.

      No I never did. I've always used the whale tail and just kept it the same. I've never cavitated with this boat.

    Is the back rest needed for this boat? I just put an order in for this boat and didnt opt in for the backrest because i thought it may take some room away for fishability

    • @H.A.B.Outdoors

      Man to me the back rest is a must. Mainly for resting while driving, fishing, or even flipping it towards the console and fishing out the back.

    How come there is so much water to bilge out? Aft box seems not to drain.

    Quick question how shallow will the boat run up on plan ? I have a new mako pro 17 , as of 2022 Jan 6, and live in Texas and will fish bays ...it’s a 2022 model

    • @H.A.B.Outdoors
      @H.A.B.Outdoors  2 года назад +1

      Well I'm the last guy to ask that question. I do some shallow running and don't recommend doing what i do. Lol!!! But it will run in about 16" without a jackplate. I've seen them run in 9" with one but it's a gamble running that shallow in texas bays with all the oyster reefs. It will float freely in about 1' of water.

      But rest assured you have an awesome boat that is tough and will last a long time. I love Mako boats. Best of Luck on your fishing trips. If your ever in the Corpus Christi area maybe we can hook up and I'll show you some good spots. 👍

    What grease do I spray into the Steering tube pivot point for tilt/trim ? And how? Thank you! Just ordered my skiff today!

    • @H.A.B.Outdoors
      @H.A.B.Outdoors  2 года назад

      Any kind of a spray lube mixed with grease to make a paste will work. Look at my UPDATE mako video and I kinda explain it. If you still need assistance let me know and I'll be glad to give you a way to contact me and I'll help anyway I can
