Another great video Kevin! Thank you for always supplying such great content for us viewers. My 2018 Yamaha VXR is in the shop right now getting a makeover of Riva parts. It has Riva pro sponsons, ride plate, intake grate, pump seal kit, power filter kit, exhaust, water box, steering system, bars, ribbon delete, and map tuner x tune. Needless to say I am like a kid at Christmas waiting for it to be done this week. Lake Time!!
I’m an old chap so my FX HO running 60 mph is perfect for me. But I completely understand those that want the 1800 to hit 87 mph, lots of fun there it’s just too much for me and I ain’t ashamed to admit it lol.
david lindseyThe FX HO it's not a slow ski. It is actually a better ski in many aspects except the brutal acceleration and top end speed.Even 50 mph is perfect for me when i'm cruising with my FX HO.. 80 and 87 mph it's not everyone's cup of tea
Would love to see some more adventure videos. Location, GPS map of the route you did, and time/distance on average. Time and distance will vary with water/wind conditions and if you stay in the middle or on the edge of a river. Thank you for reading my comment.
I just think that it could help grow your RUclips channel. Not saying that you have to do all of the suggestions. Maybe a screenshot of a map of the creeks or rivers with a line on the route you took and show on video for five to seven seconds. I just would like to see the channel grow.
Seems like the whole idea of this thing is just raising rpm up to achieve a higher top speed. I understand all the mods but I can't help but think that a higher pitch impeller would make this thing more of an animal. You already have the extra horsepower for getting out of the hole, so a modified impeller wouldn't hurt your hole shot very much I wouldn't think.
If you buy a 2019 GP1800R, and get Riva's Stage III kit, it can go 88mph!! You can go so fast you travel through time. Riva Racing is badass and this new FXR is a testament to their dominance in performance upgrades to PWCs, now what happened to the Riva Sea Doo RXP-X 400 turbo that came out a few years ago? Makes me wonder about an RXT-X 400?
The turbo kit was never successful in a functioning ski. It was for display purposes only, and then the program was scrapped around the same time the 300 ACE was finalized. There's a reason RIVA uses Yamahas for its Limited Editions.
@@watercraftjournal In case anyone else is interested, this steering will not fit 12-14 FX models as it sits but it can be made to fit relatively easily. I talked to Riva and they said you need 2 brackets off the 2015 model.
I’m so old that I was a teenager when the very first Kawasaki 440 standup ski rolled off the assembly line and bought one. But this 1800 is bad ass, I’d pay $27k for one
It's a generic descriptor that most all people use; sorta like Kleenex, Velcro or Q-Tips. These brand names are used generically to describe the product itself.
No, no! You're NOT wrong. But as much as "Q-Tip" is a brand name that belongs to Johnson & Johnson, we all use the name "Q-Tip" instead of saying "cotton swab." Get it?

Watercraft Journal is the best!
Guys like you make us want to be the best! Thank you!

We have more adventure rides coming, but that level of detail is better left to a full length written article, which we've done several of.
Okay thank you.

@@christophercaruso448 appreciated. Make sure to check out our other ride videos too!
I didn't notice the Riva Racing boarding mat by Hydroturf in your parts list, is it not available to purchase separately?
Yes! It's available through RIVA's site. Just search "mats."
Where would I have to go to order it just like that in the video? And purchase the item
We literally give you all of the links in the description.
Gonna have 1 in june to replace our fx cruiser limited
Awesome! Let us know how you like it.

Sorta, yes. Raising RPM met with adjusting the fuel curve and timing, opening up the air induction and allowing the engine to breathe properly.

Can that steering setup be made to fit a 2013 Fx?
mkylelewis according to Dave Bamdas in this video, yes.
@@watercraftjournal I noticed that. But on the website it's only listed for 15-19. Want to make sure it'll fit before I order it
@@matthewkylelewis then I strongly suggest emailing or calling to verify before purchasing.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. It's hard to argue with it.
Where can I buy one?
Take a wild guess.
#rivaracing - The 🚀
do a vx cruiser ho video pls and or how to go about buying a new watercraft
Frank we did a review of the VX Cruiser HO last year! Besides colors it’s identical - make sure to check it out!
25 that sucks make it a production ski
If you don't like 25 units 2 years ago, you'll hate that they did 15 this year.
Nice
WOW
Nice video... but it is not a ski... lol
Ugh. Yes it is. Don't be pedantic about "jet ski." It's part of the colloquial lexicon.
@@watercraftjournal lol... You live the world i'm just a visitor... your content is always solid and a great watch and read...

Well I guess I know where all my money is going 😎🏁
Does anyone have any spare cash they could send my way? 😜
Sign us up for some of that money too!
Yamaha sure goes out of their way to make their PWCs as ugly as possible. Dang!
Funny, we (and many, many others) think the FX easily one of the best-looking skis on the water.
De gustibus non est disputandum. I like the Sea-Doo hulls and the Yamaha engines.
That all black with blue accents FX LOOKS BADASS 2020
The Yamaha’s are the best looking skis made, but if you disagree, you’re still right, for yourself. Still the number 1 selling brand
