- Here's one of the first looks at the Milsig Paradigm Pro with the new Heat Core spool valve! Shroker takes the new magazine fed Milsig model for a spin, along with FAZMAG magazine holders at North Shore Paintball. You can see his blog at www.shroker.blo...
This gun feels quite a bit like my old Automag. It's a spool valve gun with a sear actuated imbalanced blow forward design, which is very similar. I like the feel of the trigger compared to air actuated mech spools like the TPX and Phenom.
Music is "Bass Battle (Wub Machine Remix)" by quirkyQuesterbottom and is licensed as No Rights Reserved
Looks like square head mags are performing really well!
It works really well! As far as I shot yesterday (I will try with some older paint I have) did not have any misfeeds from ball sizes. I think the white balls were smaller but the pink ones I had, their were oval paintballs and those would get stuck in the bearings on the collar heads.
Can't wait to see more people to use them and see how they feel about it!
The black is pretty awesome. The tan looks pretty good too. :).
yay! this is in North Vancouver!
The field I mostly play at plays most games in semi only. Just like in paintball, guys that use full auto, or on the case of paintball ramping, all the time are the spray and pray types. As long as someone takes the time to build an airsoft gun correctly, using .30gram bbs or higher will be solidly felt at over 150ft easily .
I do agree when you say there is a certain amount of satisfaction when you see your round pop on an apposite player as well as feeling that gelatin ball impact your body.
I get the cost bit. That's why I mostly play pump action or limited capacity semi and stick to walk-on 15 minute games. I use about 40 rounds per game and get up close.
I've had fun playing airsoft with my friends, but the main thing is the lack of impact. It's also satisfying to watch the paint explode on target. Unless you're right on top of a guy, it feels like a little *tink.* I guess that's why most opt for high caps and fully automatic AEGs, which isn't really my idea of a good time.
:P. Wait till you see it in person as a carbine. Gorgeous looking and feel.
That too :). No more misfeeds! (And I hope it stays that way!)
Q&A would be awesome.
What kind of potato did you use to record this? Great quality! Subed
Oh ok, I think you should definately do an accuracy test on video then to show what it's got :o)
But I meant that the mag feeding seems to work reliably and I think that's cool.
nice, seems to work well
Running even around corners and getting slammed with rounds is different then bb's. It really winds you if they hit soft spots.
They are fun in their own factors but the impact level of paintball is just that much more. However, airsoft does tend to run bigger games even on a regular basis. ie, night games and the likes.
I want to do a Q&A kind of thing with Russ.
However, I will be doing a overview and a review with this myself when I get the chance and a blog write up. :)
Too cool...I'm not a milsim player but that is freaking awesome.
Paintball has been around for a lot longer than airsoft buddy, it is also more difficult to make realistic guns like these because of the caliber of a paintball. Paintball also isn't all about the milisim aspect.
This is exactly why I stopped playing Airsoft and started Paintball (I don't play milsim but just bushball with a speedball marker). I played airsoft in a big club for a few years. But paintball makes you think twice before running out in the open unlike airsoft. Either way I dropped the dressup military style and started shooting real rifles for that.
Come down to the field today, dude!. :D
It works really well. The parts where I'm shooting, the shots arn't staying together is due to a ball break prior to shooting this video that I didn't notice. I was wondering the whole time what was happening till I took the barrel out and noticed the start of the barrel was a bit gunked.
hey btw, did you want me to link to a site of yours in the description?
I got a tan one but this makes me want a black one
can you do a full length review?
I've seen some people stack out on gear to a ridiculous point where they are wearing simulation plate carriers. Why would you need that? If you wanted to work your way around that then sure but at some point you're losing out on performance.
I don't play Airsoft in my area because everyone just plays hi-caps which sucks as a GBB owner. I can't even enjoy playing a "pistol rig" because being capped out at 9 rounds is just shitty because some people can't feel it through all their gear.
I've played Airsoft. I like some of the gear, but the gameplay is lacking in my opinion.
Those two buttons are actually really close to each other and probably misclicked. I've done that before too =\. you cna't "undislike" either :(.
@Nate Hadley Lol, Airsoft has been around since the 70's. Paintball is known to having begun in 1981 learn the history of your hobby. Yes, hobby, its not a sport neither is Airsoft.
Airsoft is a hit or miss, just like Paintball is a hit or miss. It really depends on your region of players.
Damn character limit.
Wub wub wub wub wub.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean to possibly sound like a pompous ass. I quit playing paintball months ago after having played 8 years or so. Part of it was the expense of paintball to be honest. After trying airsoft I just can't go back. I respectfully disagree with your assessment but then again that's been your experience. The scenario games I have played in have been just as fulfilling of not more so than when I played paintball. Being able to accurately hit someone at 200ft or more provid
Plus I don't think any sport resembling gunfights and/or war should have the word "soft" in it. Air"soft", that tells you all you need to know about that sport. And just so its clear yes I have played it before. The whole thing was really just silly.
Look for me on FB if you want. I will be posting there too.
ok i will.
:)
k thanks
i want that gun lol
lol Austin and his really expensive guns...
Far more rewarding?! You mean to tell me that you actually think shooting tiny little plastic bb's out of a toy gun look alike that sounds like a little kid going through puberty when they shoot with that high pitched noice of *pew**pew**pew**pew**pew**pew**pew* is more rewarding? Airsoft guns especially AEGs are just a joke, I mean you call a little plastic toy gun that sounds so stupid rewarding? I think you should get your head on straight before going off and posting dumb comments like that.
Milsim paintballers, just give it up already. Airsofters have been enjoying real steel counterparts for years with far better range than paintball and at a lesser expense. Throw away that junk and go play a far more rewarding hobby, airsoft.
Airsoft is for children and men who wish they could have made it into the military but are too scared. Enjoy your cosplay though.
i really want to get into mil sim, and i shouldve expected this, but all the wanna be military guys, it almost embarrassing. ita called mil sim i shouldve known better. but that grip at 0:07. thats to help reduce recoil on an actual weapon. pball has no recoil!!
