I grew up as a kid in the 60's groovin' to this band......"Bathing at Baxters" was one of my favorite albums.....I played it probably about 1000 times..I STILL LOVE IT..Now, I am 60, and I find this band SO INSPIRING , and so beautiful , I cannot believe that I am still groovin on their music, like 50 yrs later, WHAT A MARVEL ...I sang in rock bands in the 70's and 80's, and played guitar too, and now, I am writing my own songs , and playing guitar again, playing along to the sounds of Jefferson Starship...WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT HAS BEEN..........As a 5 yr old kid, back then, 1965.... I went on board a REAL UFO, and now, I still remember the words the "alien" spoke to me, as I saw her ( a female) float right through the solid walls of my bedroom, early in the morning, like 4 am..... when I asked her, " How did you do THAT?" She replied to me, in my mind , through telepathy, in a soothing gentle female voice, "Don't worry, we can do anything."........Then she gently took my hand, and we went outside, to the UFO, in my backyard....and on board I went.......and I sat comfortably , looking out the big window, no seat belts, etc, no G-forces, as we took off straight up, and I saw the Earth down below, shrink smaller and smaller, and then it turned into a little tiny blue ball, in the vast blackness of space , and then, disappeared..I was not afraid, just amazed.....Then in a few seconds, we returned right back down to the exact spot where we took off from....I can really relate to the Starship , cause I have been on board myself.....I have seen the "aliens" and the aliens are US..They are not from some other planet, they are in fact, from here, and they travel through time, (and space), and they have come back in time to warn us all about the present path we are taking , that will lead to our own destruction......We need to heed the warning, and change ALL our ways , and as the wise song here asks, " WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?"...

Not gonna lie, when the guitarist suddenly grew to 3 times his size during the solo it triggered a wicked acid flashback. Nice psychedelic track worthy of their legacy.

I remember seeing Jefferson Airplane back in the 60s at the Electric Factory in Phila. Still a big fan. The light show was fantastic.

Guys, I urge you to reunite with mickey (I know it sounds like a stretch) for at least one show. The fans (myself included) would love it, and as much as I love the 70s material and new stuff, the variety among singers and eras is needed and it would sell a ton of tickets. Please take heed of my words, because time is limited with everyone's age. Thank you if you read this, and i appreciate that you've continued paul's legacy like this
It wasn’t long after the reunion of Pink Floyd, that Richard Wright died. Such a sad end in music history. Now we have also lost Paul Kantner and the miracle man himself. Jefferson Starship has already lost the chance to reunite as a full band with two of its principal leaders now. I agree with you. This is the chance for Jefferson Starship to reunite with one of its past leaders before it’s too late. David Freedburg won’t be around forever, and neither will Myk. this may be their last chance to have at least a partial reunion of the starship family that has been fractured ever since 1984, and then fractured even more after the death of Paul and Mr. miracles. Yes, I know his name is not Mr. miracles, but I call him that because that song was written by one man only. And I still call him Mr. miracles lol
