Hey guys.
In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F15 Eagle trying out the AIM260 Missiles against 6 Bandits. Hope you guys enjoy.
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
GPU: Geforce RTX 2080ti
RAM: DDR4 Corsair 3200 MHz 32 GBB (total of 4 sticks so 128 GB in total)

That was some sneaky stuff you did there. Well played. Going against a Flanker that still has Fox-3s and has IRST, while you only have short range Fox 2 is gutsy.
If the 260 is anything like its supposed to be, its certainly going to be a huge leap over the 120 for standoff. 6 bandits with 1 x F15 is amazing.
Well if the 260 is in the game , i wanne see the R-37M in game too....

the fake-out with a lock tone is something I'm surprised people haven't figured out before. It's a strategy I've known for years.
Most likely because it is safer to assume that there is a missile coming than not.

for me, figuring out tricks like this is as easy as breathing air. yet others struggle for years, sometimes decades without ever figuring it out themselves. I don't understand that.

@@derekedge2089 even real fighter pilots don't seem to figure some of this stuff out. There are more DCS "fighter pilots" due to low barrier to entry.
I'd even argue the USAF recruits the wrong personality types to be Fighter Pilots too. In my study of aviation history, there are certain personality traits that top pilots tend to have. And these are not traits they select for. So the whole DCS vs Real is rather irrelevant.
Real fighter pilots also have to meet very important physical standards that most DCS pilots don't, and/or cannot meet.
And I'm just talking about fitness requirements.
Things most people wouldn't think of.
Things I myself don't even know or understand, but have heard actual pilots talk about, rather carefully.

@@miriamweller812 No... not this game dude. The biggest difference is that you can try really stupid things and live to try another day.
Provided you actually hit your target, sure. But if you tried this in an EX and missed your shot, it would likely be curtains for you. If I'm understanding things correctly, the EX is basically a super modified E strike variant. It carries more payload and has a lot of other awesome technology, but is still essentially a missile truck, and an inferior dogfighter to both the Flanker, and F-15C variant.

It's really a re-branded F-15QA, which does utilize the F-15E airframe, but adds a great deal of air-to-air capability as well, including the cockpit originally designed for the proposed "Silent Eagle" low observable variant. It added IRST, an AESA radar and new fly-by-wire flight controls. It can absolutely dogfight. In American service, it's actually replacing F-15Cs in the ANG units for homeland defense. They kept the two-seat configuration mainly because it was simply cheaper and quicker to do so, and theoretically it could be used as a drone carrier at some point, with the WSO in charge of the wingman drones.
Love the videos. Your my favorite DCS RUclipsr. Watching your videos inspired me to get into flight simulation games. I have been playing VtolVR which is a game like DCS but my pc can actually run it. If I ever get a better pc I will try and get into DCS. Keep up the great work. 👍

Its great to see that the eagle can now utilize its excellent radar with the aim 260. Im surprised it took america this long to realise that a long range missile would work well with their superior radar technology
The amraam was a long range missile compered to Russias R-77’s but it was the Chinese missiles that forced an upgrade.

This is just the situation an ASEA radar "high" would have an advantage over the mechanically scanned radar, as your sneaky scheme would have been picked up on radar.

Is it actually possible to reach full speed while still carrying several missiles? I hear you and GS speak often about "above Mach 1" when firing missiles in BVR. And I wonder if e.g. the F-15 could reach its maximum speed of Mach 2,54 while being armed with several missiles?

Su27 challenge for you.... Apparently the su27 has a rear facing radar and has the ability to engage targets behind it.... DCS challenge to get a kill on a target in your rear aspect
It doesn't, the spike at the end of Sukhoi aircraft is for a drag chute

where did you find the missile mods?
Great question. Every day I see a video of someone playing with various mods, and no one seems to want to share where they are available.
The plural of enemy is ...enemy. As in, 6 enemy fighters. Enemies in the plural form describes multiple entities, like "Iran and Syria are our enemies." The reason you are "not seeing them on radar" is because your scan volume is 20 degrees. When you recommit, either bias/pin your scan to the inside of your turn, or open up the azimuth. IRL we would never collapse our scan down like that at range.

I am surprised the AIM-260 has a primitive propulsion system... no ramjets, no variable throttle.... and shorter range then Meteor. Why did the US not buy Meteor rather than building something that is new but inferior....

The AIM-260 has similar dimensions to the AIM-120 so it can be carried in the internal weapons bay of the F35 and the F22
