Tyrice Knight IMPRESSED This Preseason

- Tyrice Knight is just a fourth round pick, but I think the Seahawks might have found someone who could be a starter down the road. Sure he wasn't perfect but I think that he showed that he has every tool you need to win at this position.

Linebacker is hard. Not the hardest position in all of sports tho lol
But in terms of football yeah I’d say it’s the most demanding position in terms of what you have to analyze each play in just a couple seconds
Hardest in sports might have been a little much but I think it’s up there. 100% it is a very mentally and physically demanding position.
@@The_Legion_of_12s hahah no fair enough. there is a reason it's considered the weakest area for most teams like you said. every other position has their assignment in from of them. LB is the only one who has to try and react to how players are moving behind them
100%
Knight looks JACKED, like he stole Bobby Wagner's arms. 😍
Let’s hope MacDonald grows him into a great LB. Hope our new LB also does well
Such good breakdown, graphics, insight, and analysis! How long does it take you to create one of these videos? Must be hours. I appreciate you.
Thank you! These videos take way too long (8-12 hours easily) but I really enjoy the process. :)
Im really excited to see him in year 3 like MacDonald said and also for Dodson hope he plays great and that we keep him
Yeah that’s what I hope too. Resign Dodson after he has a massive year and have Knight take over.
Good video because I was thinking the same !!! He needs time .
For sure! I’m super excited for him but he also needs at least a year to be anywhere near good so :)
I think ideal growth path for Knight is to sit and learn with maybe some minimal playtime if injuries occur in year one. Macdonald's defense is a lot to take in for a rookie. Hopefully one of Dodson/Baker emerges as a key cog for the future and Knight can become a starter in year 2. I think we still need to look to draft and develop one next year as well.
100%. I think that this is the gameplan that Schneider has in mind as well. If you can resign one of Dodson or Baker to a solid starter mulit year deal and then have Knight and a Rookie battle it out you could have a pretty great linebacking duo in 2025 and beyond. Plus you won't have that much invested into the position with it mostly being mid to late round rookies.
mike jack got traded for lb michael barrett
Yeah I kinda expected Jackson to get moved after the hawks drafted 2 corners. That room is too deep and you’re not going to cut the rookies so he was probably about to get cut. Flipping him for someone who has a chance to make the roster makes sense.
@@The_Legion_of_12s especially since tre brown been balling out this camp and with carlton johnson having a good camp as well
Here after the Micheal Jackson trade... I for 1 feel we already have a front 7 and feel it was a dumbass trade to give Carolina one of our best DBs. Thoughts?
Michael Jackson was NOT one of our best dbs. We have Witherspoon, woolen, tre brown, AND two rookies. I’m taking all of those guys over mike jack, and getting essentially a 7th round pick from this last draft for him is good value. Especially when it’s pieces we can use now instead of waiting for next year
@Kiid-bn8lb Your thought process. I can't say we have alot of depth at the DB position, but once again, the front 7 are good.. if the front 7 don't get to qb & we get burnt in coverage, remember this comment he brought Intangibles, length, & a presence that will be missed
MJ was gonna be traded or cut after the next preseason game, he wasn't making the roster. Michael Barrett is a great trade and it fills a glaring need for depth at LB while also getting a guy MacDonald knows and helped develop in college
@shazmagoon Haven't been able to see any pre-season games this year, so him getting "traded or cut" is that your analysis or was it said before a team meeting that you just so happened to hear because you're on the team and you know things a casual like myself knows nothing about? I just wanna know for the sake of arguing or making a point?
I was kind of expecting this after he hawks drafted 2 Corners in last years draft. Spoon, Woolen and Brown will still be starters and Pritchett and James will back them up. Honestly not a big hit to the room at all. Getting an LB4 is probably a good idea. I think he’ll make the roster over Rhattigan but we’ll see.
It was a backup for backup trade and the hawks got younger and cheaper plus he has a longer contract. I’d say it’s a good trade honestly. :)
Liability encourage? You’ve got to be joking me. Have you seen his PFF grade so far? Probably not do your research buddy then bring your facts
I like PFF I really do. But even their own podcast has talked about how linebacker coverage grades are not their most accurate. Tough to grade running to the flat or just spot dropping. Plus it’s only 2 preseason games. So no his pff grade doesn’t change what I have seen on tape.
And to be clear practically every rookie linebacker has been a coverage liability because they’re just being attacked in new ways.
Give him a year or two and he’ll be a plus coverage defender but he’s not there yet.
