This was a very, very useful video. Very professional job. Thanks! A challenge in attaching implements is you can’t see things well from the seat. So I stand off to the side and connect. I push wheeled attachments into the connect position. The Ventrac manuals are the best in the industry… although I’d like to see more checklists. Cheers. :)
I just fold up the arm rest and look down the left side to line up. Make very small left and right adjustments while moving forward. It takes finesse. I just went out one day for a couple of hours just practicing hookup and its pretty easy now. Also make sure mower decks are on the highest setting for connecting
Why don’t you let owners buy the spare parts from you. My dealer is about an hour away and usually doesn’t carry the part. They substituted a John Deere oil filter for yours. Dealing with them is inconvenient please consider changing your practice.
Agreed. Have a dealer an hour away......carries absolutely nothing in stock. I travel a state away (8hrs) to a way better dealer (idaho) they are Johnny on the spot with service and supplies.
Thanks for the input. We'll send a reminder to our parts team. This is definitely an area they are working on though as it's obvious we need to provide an option for people to have instant parts access no matter where or when they need it.
Thanks for your input! We will make sure to keep these top of mind. We also have a Simple Start series you may find helpful, it's a quick start guide for our various attachments! ruclips.net/p/PLU6reQZhgG6_h7IEIoKFtSploC-S3VfPR
Great vid arron at DGM DEVON ENGLAND my boss sells ventrac , watching you’re vids got me a job there 3 year ago loving these machines and now get to drive and pdi them from the crate , so thanks for supplying such a cool looking machine 👌😉
Thanks for this video. Can you please make a video on all the attachments as they come out? I know we have to read the manual but many of us are visual learners and you showing things is so much easier.
It looks like all the stress from the operation of the attachment is being transferred through the 2 small pins. CGI turf broke one of his pins on a 4520 while running the power rake. How common is this problem? And do you know what the stresses are on those pins. (i.e. Do you use Finite Element models when designing attachments ex. ANSYS?)
Yes, we do employ FEA in the design process. We have seen a few of those pins break from time to time, but so few that it's really not an issue. There are not very many use cases where significant stress is being transferred through those pins. Power Raking in reverse with perfectly level hitch arms would be one of those cases and It's still quite rare to hear about that happening. Pete is one of the best Ventrac operators in the country so I know he wasn't abusing it, but this is also the first I've ever heard it's happened to him.....and he has TONS of hours on Ventrac. Most people who run Ventrac have never had a pin break. I've personally never done it and I've been using the machines pretty hard for over 10 years. I wouldn't worry about it! -Aaron
Nice! One thing I'd add is handles on both of the fenders. When you're on a slope, the handles would really help to hold yourself upright. Many tractors have them and won't come close to the 20-30 degree slope that these will, so handles are a must! Also do you have any hints on getting the mud out of those tires? They are very difficult to clean and if you just leave the mud to dry, you'll have mud turds everywhere the next time you use the machine. Thanks!
Hey Terry, great question. While it may not be ideal, we will typically run the tractor on gravel or pavement after the job is complete and it will fly off. While its not the best answer, your tires will be plenty clean when you start the next job. Thanks for watching!
Great useful video. It helped me to watch it even tho I have had a 4500Z for a few years. I do wish you had covered the battery, especially is there a place to use jumper cables if needed. Thank you.
it was the simplest thing I’ve ever operated. (4500 diesel) sadly it had a bad brake in from the operator before me and never ran right a few months before I got to run it 😢
Does the 4520 offer the wheel extensions? I have a 4500z with the factory installed extensions and feel the machine looks better and have never felt unsafe
How do I tow a 4520 with the gas kubota? Had one burn down on me recently and it’s dead in a field. Towed it some ways with another 4520 but neither seemed too enjoy it. Seemed as if the hydros were stopping me and can’t find a hydro release like on a walker mower
Love hearing about these machines! lol Its just that i dont know I want to spend that much on a tractor if I can easily buy 3-4 zero turns for some employees. I do love them though and am thinking about getting one especially for winter so I can do some more business then.
Question love you’re kit but upgrade you’re fixings as they seem to break often , the clip you install to the product are weak an I’m always going through our surplus to find a replacement xx

I have a toro dealership next to me that is looking to expand into compact tractors. I told them about ventrac and that toro owns them. That might be a good opportunity to get into this areas market. Would Isaac be someone to talk to about getting a ventrac dealer in my area?
@@everydaydad3054 Unfortunately no. I have passed your suggestion on. Thanks for providing feedback. That helps us continue to support our customers in the best ways we can.
I would like to see a ventrac option for a carryall or at least a chainsaw holder. I don't know if my second request is legal or not, but I would like a much larger diesel option governed down to the regulatory requirements with the ability to remove said governor.
