i have a problem, whenever i try to do the same thing you did, it takes about 3 hours to get past get files ready for installation, which then it goes to the black backround with the blue windows, and it says: 'the computer restarted unexpectedly' in an infinite loop. Can you assist me with this?

what does it mean when it says no bootable medium found system halted?
to anyone getting the error: fialed to read product key, you have to delete the virtual machine completly, redo the settings while creating it and check "Skip Unatended Setup" this will let you say you dont have one.
this video is old, virtual box has been updated so the demonstration is no longer valid

Created a slimmer version via NTLite and I must have removed something wrong because I get the error 0x807c0000. Anyway, the new version of VMBox confuses me a bit. Like for instance, I want to change the iso for an existing virtual disk but it doesn't give that option. So I'm forced to create a brand new virtual disk. What am I missing? Thanks.

@@ranseth I heard virtualization was a bad hack. It might even slow the computer down even more than normal because context switching is the most time-consuming task a cpu can do, other than fetching files or memory.

i got an issue, just when the very first windows installation is done it just restarts it?
why is the "Getting files ready for installation" in windows setup taking forever to download? it's been almost 2 hours and it's still stuck on 5%

It took me a while, but I have Win 11 installed on my Mac Mini M1 using UTM VM with limited functions, but it works. Can I install Win 10 using VirtualBox with 10 being my primary OS with more functions? Second question; I get notifications that my Win 11 build has expired. System updates are current. What do I need to do?

I was able to follow all the directions up until I ran the vm, after I've clicked start, the vm was aborted & don't know why it was.
when i download the windows file it downloads as a zip and when i unzip it it wont allow me to select the folder in virtualbox. Does anyone have a fix for this?

this tutorial looks good and all, but for some reason mine doesn't work, and it's from either 2 options:
1. i somehow managed to get a faulty ISO file (idek if that's possible)
2. since i am using a beta build of VirtualBox for MacOS with M2 chip, it could be the VirtualBox i use.

Does the OS inside the VirtualBox need to be licensed?
Is it using host's actual storage and RAM or vBox has its own storage and RAM?
VBox doesn't have its own storage and RAM because it is software. Only hardware has storage and RAM.
One hiccup was I left it alone overnight to install and when I came back in the morning the mouse cursor would disappear while over the virtual OS. I changed something in the Virtual box menu and then I had no mouse at all! So I pulled the plug on the PC, restarted, opened Virtual box, and it went on as if nothing had happened. My only question now is I'd like to make the screen larger, but that shouldn't be much trouble. Thanks for the great video.

Can you run the machine using a USB to save the folders and also use the USB's available storage?
Should be able too you just need to find the files in the usb drive.

it refuses to work on my i9 9600k 16gb ram with virtualization enabled. what's the problem? eveything goes normally and when booting up the machine it says something like "windows cannot read the product key from the unattended answer file" or something like that even if I downloaded it through the official microsoft windows Tool
You can bypass this error by selecting "Skip Unattended Installation" when creating the new virtual machine

Hi sr im installing windows 10.Now i stuck at the setup of windows .Here it is asking to burn the iso file to a dvd.WHICH OPTION I HAVE TO CHOOSE?it is showing two options.First one is c/user/downloads/windows nxt second option is open dvd burner
C:\User\Downloads\Windows.iso is the iso file directory. Just click finish on the bottom-right corner, you dont need to burn it to a dvd.
