Some really nice options here. That t-shirt has so many options! I love that they show models of various sizes but also different ages. Everyone looks great!

Closet Core Jenna is a fabulous shirt pattern. I made it for my first attempt at a ‘proper’ shirt with all the classic features and it turned out great as the instructions are so good. It was my first collar with stand, first tower plackets for the cuffs and also my first buttonholes. I’m a petite at just five feet but the alterations were easy to do and I love it.

Glad to see you have added the Indie patterns. It would be helpful if you added the sewing cup size. That is one thing I love about some indie patterns, the included sewing cup sizes and some included pant adjustments. Oh I almost forgot about the height adjustment.

I wish I could gift you more time to sew! I always love seeing your makes.
My fabric order arrived a few days ago! One of the pieces was the lilac sweat shirting fabric you showed in the video. It is so soft and beautiful and wonderful quality! ❤ I'm in love with the other two pieces I bought as well!

Hi Lucy, some time in the future, could you show us how to do a rounded back adjustment on a yoked pattern.? I'm thinking it should look quite nice. Thank you. Love your pattern reviews and fabric choices.

I agree with the top two comments! I, too, am only five feet tall so my biggest sewing challenge is alterations. I made the Wardrobe by Me half-zip sweatshirt, it’s a men’s pattern, and the alterations drove me nuts. It came out great, thankfully but it was lots of work to get it to fit. I find that some of the indies have really terrible instructions…or maybe I’m just so used to the “big three” that anything else looks odd. On the other hand my absolute favorite tank top is an indie-instructions were so-so but once I fooled around with it some it was a huge success!

Not an indie pattern fan, they never turn out as well as big three patterns “for me anyway “ ❤️🇨🇦❤️

I have also found that with the few indy patterns that I have made in the past

I’m only 5 foot tall. Those over size shirts would overwhelm my body!

I feel your pain. 5ft2" here and really struggling to find a trench coat in the shops that don't make me look like a child wearing my mum's coat 😂

Just a quick word on the pogonip - I saw a vlog that said pogonip was the name of a hiking trail and they named the top after it. Don't know if that helps?

😂 a kangaroo pocket is usually low enough on the back so the wearer can easily stash stuff into it--came from bicycle jackets & now more common in motorcycle & hiking gear. Laughing that they are doing the now "trendy" pocket, but since this is only waist length, is useless to the wearer! (Kids may love it to stash stuff on Mom's back though!). But is a nice pullover!

    Can Americans buy machines?

Just wondering why you’d want to purchase a machine across the pond? Many machine retailers closer to home….regardless where you are in the US.
